Eastgate Medical Centre

Spent 2 weeks choosing a doctor after my practice retired. Very hesitant selecting Eastgate and apprehensive at my first visit not knowing what to expect. I was pleased with the clean waiting room and the politeness of the receptionist. Dr. Ei Thandar who saw me and my wife was very knowledgable, efficient polite and friendly. We left the center feeling so pleased with our choice. Thank you.

Been going here for years. I highly recommend! I can’t believe the negative reviews. I’ve seen many doctors at this surgery and my main doctor is Dr mytzu (not sure how to spell sorry) she’s amazing. All the doctors are so thorough and explain everything to me in a way I’ll understand. Always professional and attentive. It’s has a nice atmosphere. Helpful receptionist. Can also get bloods done there which is convenient. I never have to wait to long in the waiting room.

Overall a great experience and I am fussy haha. I have had numerous health problems I feel well looked after.

All the Drs here are amazing.so thorough.
My current Dr (Dr Hla) is awesome.
She is on top of everything and is getting me tested to rule out what's not wrong with me, so she can get to the bottom of my health issues and fix them.
It's sometimes hard to get an appointment at short notice, as the centre is always busy, but if you book ahead its great.
Always clean and tidy and I feel 100% confident in getting the best care, whenever I'm there.

I would not recommend calling or going here as the Receptionist on the phone and in person was very rude and has terrible communication skills. She was difficult in looking up my account and then proceeded to not be helpful at all with my health. She also refused to give her name or any other information about me seeing my doctor. I also asked to speak to the clinic manager as she was not helpful and she would also not give me the managers name.

If she is customer service facing I would recommend she is trained in treating customers with the bare minimum which is respect and courtesy. I would like a call back regarding my account and health.

Single worst medical "treatment" experience I have ever witnessed. Didn't listen, didn't care, didn't help. Practice Manager has been contacted, formal complaint process will be followed. Judging by the number of 1 star reviews on here, I'm clearly not the only patient to take issue with this practice. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere, I certainly will be. Absolutely appalling.

What a terrible experience. Receptionist here is so cold and unsympathetic. Was rude over the phone and so unhelpful. I had just recently been in an accident and needed to be checked by a GP ASAP. Having this centre across my home seemed like a brilliant idea but the absolute pathetic service just put me off. Would not recommend. She just ignored me and continued to take phone calls whilst having me standing infront of her. As if I came to waste her time whilst clearly I am in a knee brace. She just walked off and disappeared to the back room. I’ve never been so distraught

Terrible AVOID AVOID. Doctors don't fill out paperwork properly and the next doctor grilled me for the longer appointment because they had to do the previous doctors paperwork. Had booked an appointment for results which they wanted to charge me for. It's a follow up appointment my experience elsewhere is that they don't charge for getting results. They just run this like a money making business with very little compassion or care for your well-being. Today's doctor isn't even here for the 9am appointment. It's 9: 30 and I have another appointment after with physio.

Get told off by this doctor because it's not my regular doctor and I should book with them to save time. I booked a longer MVA appointment for this reason. Then as I'm leaving the doctor is discussing my personal medical information Infront of everyone sitting in the waiting room. Sooo unprofessional I walked out.

Since I posted this they are giving me the run around I'm just trying to get my medical file transferred to my new doctor's and I'm told I've filled out the wrong form which they supplied and I sent a follow up email with no response I have asked 3 times to speak with the practice Manager with also no response. I have also noticed some fraud on there behalf which I have emailed and asked them about. I would AVOID AVOID this place. They need to make this right it's not how to treat people.

Had recently moved into the area and wanted a new family GP, particularly as my 5yo daughter is susceptible to respiratory issues. Unfortunately at the first sign of my daughter developing asthma and desperately needing a review, I found them unnecessarily risk averse, due to her having a cough and they refused to see her, without a COvid test. This is despite being an essential service and having access to PPE and there being zero cases of Covid in WA. Also very hypercritical as the receptionist sneezed on my Medicare card.

Can the staff at this service honestly say that outside of work that they or the people they live with, never mingle with the outside world?

I have moved onto a more sensible service.

I had a very pleasant experience at this medical centre, both Dr Shrimal and Effie the receptionist were very friendly and professional. Well done for serving the local community with such caring attitude.

Dr Hla is awesome - very caring and excellent manner. I needed time-sensitive help and she was very responsive and helped me get the treatment I needed. Would highly recommend this practice.

Requested a Medical Certificate for my son to be faxed to me instead of being picked up and was agreed upon by Jacqueline the receptionist. After a few hours i rang to find out if it was faxed and was told by Jacqueline that she hadn't faxed it as she was "busy with alot of other stuff to do". Very unprofessional and not helpful.

Very unclear that this clinic is not actually bulk billed and I was told I couldn’t be sure that I can book an appointment and it will be bulk billed or not. Which I am still confused about why this can’t be pre arranged.

Best doctor's in our local community, they actually listen to their patients and actually help their patients. It's hard to find a good doctor but we are truly lucky to find the Doctors at Eastgate medical centre in Rivervale. They are the best doctor's in the Belmont area

My experience since seeing the Doctors at this clinic has been nothing but positive. 100% recommend.

This was my first time going here earlier today and the receptionist was really lovely, kind and professional, the doctor I seen was absolutely lovely, she was patient, very soft spoken, made me feel very comfortable and she was very helpful! I’d definitely tell people about this place it was a good experience.

I can't remember how I found out the practice now, but I'm so happy that I found it. Love the beautiful community feel at the practice. Ashley who delt with us at reception is absolutely gorgeous. So caring and supportive. Dr Suva has gold heart and time for patients. Very throughout. Dr Phyo was very patients with our crazy 3 kids with low sugar. I really appreciate the care and services they provide. I like how the clinic is kept very clean too. Practice nurse was very friendly as well.
Lots other practitioners are on site, which is fantastic. I met dietitian the other day, I learned a lot to assist my PCOS. Thank you!

I hear the owner is planning to start up the pharmacy next door too. How exciting! It'll be very convenient for patients who live locally and have no transport.

One request. Could we please have a wooden train tracks with trains for kids? Fulham medical centre have 2. Our kids loved them. But I want to bring all my family to your care now.

Great services, the doctors are all very patient, professional and willing to take their times to give you the right treatments and advice which is I have never experience with most others medical centers. Strongly recommend to all family especially with young children.

I am a visitor to Perth. My hotel staff recommended this medical centre. I've got the same day appointment and the service is superior.

This is for the people who might be visiting the medical centre. We got wheel clamped and become expensive visit for my 7 weeks old baby with medical condition who needed a doctor.

I did see the sign but my state of mind was on my baby to see the doctor and just thought it might be to deter people who might park there and catch a bus to city or other reasons. Not for the patients who are visiting the medical centre. I did ask the receptionist who was aware of the clamping situation. I wish they gave us a little warning when we arrived.

I did explained it to the company, AUTO CLAMP, who did the clamping but they just wanted $170.00. Not interested in anything. And make it worse, one of the employees of AUTO CLAMP was there when we park and didn’t even inform us.

So here is my little warning for you. Don’t park at the back car park of the medical centre off Fitzroy Rd.

I do have to say the doctor was great and looked after my baby very well.

Nice & friendly practice but it's a real pity they don't do bulk billing hence the 3 stars.
