Dymocks Subiaco reviews
21Ordered my books over the phone and picked them up very helpful staff and comprehensive library
You could lose yourself in this bookshop. They have great recommendations and the novels are displayed such that you are sure to find something to fall in love with.
Great service and very friendly staff. I had some last minute office request and ladies in Subiaco store were very helpful with organising pick up. Thanks guys, you are awesome!
Online bookstores could be cheaper, but I still love to go to local bookstores to browse new books and bring them home immediately.
The library is also handy, but a popular book always needs to wait in a reserve queue, and you have to return it in a short time.
In my opinion, the bookstore is the soul of a street and a city. When I was a child, I visited bookstores frequently, like my second home; that's the feeling I want my daughter to experience now.
This store is in the main street of Subiaco with the most friendly staff and enough variety of books and stationaries and never put tuition textbooks in the most conspicuous place, which I don’t like the most in some fast-food style bookstores, because I don't reckon those are “proper” books.
Whoever loves reading ingenuously would love to go to a local bookstore like this one.
The employees are super friendly. They helped me find the last copy of a book I had been looking for. I will definitely come here again soon!
Very nice place. Great range of books and helpful staff innit. Quick and easy click and collect.
I have been visiting this bookstore since it first opened at its current location in 1996. There is always a good selection of books and there are also sales items. I remembered when this bookstore had extended opening hours in the evening back in the 90s and it is good to see that it is still maintaining it's high standards and pleasant ambience.
I visited this outlet on a Saturday morning and was served by three different store assistants at different times. Not only did this Dymocks outlet had both of the books that I was looking for; all three store assistants were friendly, cheerful, and helpful, which gave me a much better experience than I had at the Dymocks city outlet.
Great staff. The tidiest bishop in Perth. Love the handwritten reviews in the book shelves.
I Bought a gift card for my friend so she can buy whatever book she wants:) + this really cute birthday card.
They have a good selection of books. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I bought a teen novel for my daughter here.
Very helpful. I was approached twice by staff to see if I needed assistance with one looking online to see if he could help me with a gift purchase.
I Was a patient at a nearby hospital at Subiaco, in need of a book to read. I rang the store right on opening time and asked for a particular title and paid over the phone. The assistant was very helpful and had it delivered to me in the ward within the hour. Excellent and friendly service.
I had bought books fortnightly from this store, but no longer. Poor customer service from the manager and staff.
Unpersonable and unwelcoming staff member. No one likes bossy people, especially when shopping for books.
Dymocks introduces you to genres of books that you can't get online. With the world that is getting digitalised, Dymocks in a great place to enjoy new releases and sponsors a decent amount of competitions meaning that they give out gift cards a lot
Would have loved to have an explore, but didn't feel particularly welcome to peruse after the verbal screening by the tactful sales assistant at the sales counter after I forgot to scan in upon entry.
Yes sometimes people make a mistake and forgot to do something they should, but I shouldn't be public shamed by tactless staff.
I think I'll go take a gander at the bookshop down the road
Have always been my first choice to buy books in this store but will not be moving forward after an unpleasant experience today with one of the staff being rude towards me infront of my kids
Great ambiance, they have two lovely seats in the back. Don't think it's wheelchair accessible however.
Nice place, good variety of books. But the staff on the day (Sunday morning) was a little rude.
