64The food was average and the manager was very unfriendly and he overcharged $60 so make sure you are checking the bill. Will never come back
Great food and the atmosphere is fantastic, but the service lets them down. We go back on a semi-regular basis as the food is worth it, but we always leave thinking the service could be improved. Drinks take a long time to come out, there's generally one that is wrong, and it's often hard to get someone's attention. So overall a good night out but could be spectacular with better service.
Everything was amazing. Food couldn’t be any better and lovely wait staff too. Has a great bustling atmosphere. If you’re looking for great value and an enjoyable dining experience, Duende is the place.
A wonderful late lunch here with friendly service by the French manager who gave us time to decide and spread out our food in courses to maximise our enjoyment and the space on our table. The wine list was approachable for a novice to Spanish wines and his recommendations were accurately paired with our food. Not to mention very generous portions for a tappas restaurant.
Disappointing quality of food - not much flavour and not freshly made. Too much bread covered in oil almost fried in oil) served with the small tapas.
Food was incredible as usual. Great wine list! We were able to get a table for two on a busy night without a booking, so that’s also a plus. However! The service was lacking. Staff were inattentive, often passing us by and several of our food orders were forgotten. Drinks took forever to come. When we managed to flag down staff to follow up on a missing course, we were told we didn’t actually order it. We left without the dessert we ordered because we had trouble with staff not coming to check. Overall a great meal specially the cheeks; however the lack of service tarnished our experience.
Loved the food, meatballs and the pumpkin gnocchi are yum! Didnt like the service, severely understaffed or undertrained! Glasses were dirty
Spent over 100 dollars and to be honest I could go elsewhere spend less and have way better service.
I would have given 5 stars but the service let them down. When we first arrived we noticed there was no COVID QR Scanner which was a little odd and we weren't asked to write in a register. We were seated fairly promptly but then waited and waited. When we were finally asked if we wanted water the Maitre' D rushed off so fast we couldn't order drinks or food. The guys went to the bar to order but that caused much confusion and they were sent back to our table. After we finally ordered drinks and food we were fortunately tended to by a female waitress who was fabulous. We got the chef’s recommendation of a set five course meal and she recommended adding a vegetarian option. The food was exceptional. The service however was bizarre to say the least. For a Sunday night it was quite busy and the staff seem to have set jobs and wouldn't sway from them. When the barman brought our drinks he wouldn't take our food order which is fine but never said he would send someone over. After we were brought our Haloumi a waiter came over and said "sorry guys that's not yours" and took it off our table (we'd already eaten from it). Fortunately the young lady came over and apologised and gave it back. Then we were told we couldn't order a margharita as they had "run out of ice". If it wasn’t for the young lady who was more attentive and knowledgeable than the rest put together we would have left before we ordered. She deserves a raise, the rest need training in hospitality.
Absolutely fantastic, everything out of the kitchen tasted wonderful. Service was welcoming and easy going. Atmosphere was perfect for wining and dining with friends. We ate like kings, drinking great wine and we were expecting a bill double what we got. We will be back, thank you for having us.
Duende is consistently fabulous! Attentive staff, great atmosphere and stunning food. I've been a few times over the years and it is still consistently great!
I've opted most times for the chefs feed me menu which is substantial in itself and indulgent with the matched wines - well worth the experience!
I just visit again in valentine's Day for a set menu evening of dining. 4 courses with more than we could eat. Wonderful food, wonderful service, wonderful atmosphere.
Highly recommended for lunch or dinner with fantastic Spanish dishes available. Try a gin and tonic too, just amazing!
Had a booking for a group of 8 people on Friday night. The waitress told us that the table was to small for regular menu items and that we had to do the set menu which we agreed to. What a disappointing experience it was, quality of food was ok but for the $60 per head that we had to pay, the amount of food we received for 8 people was absurd and ontop of that we did not get dessert (which costs extra). Restaurant was understaffed, wait times between courses was way too long. For the $480 we spent on food it was not worth it. If you want to get a good size set menu for a larger group I recommend you go somewhere else.
Amazing restaurant with an amazing man behind the bar, he is a damn machine. Good food and even better wine
Absolutely delicious food and wine. The patatas bravas, octopus, arancini, everything we ordered was faultless and so so good.
Dishes were tasty. Wine selection was very good. On that perspective they deserve good rating however my issue with tapas type restaurants is that the price tag for little portion meal is too much. I can't justify paying 10+ dollars for a two-bite plate.
Went here for the first time yesterday and it was by far one of my favourite restaurants I've been to. Absolutely delicious food, all so unique and dishes using such unique ingredients and ones I would never have thought would work so well together but it was just amazing! The customer service really made the night special, we were greeted as soon as we approached the door, the young women that was waiting our table was so lovely and you could just tell everyone working there loves their job and their passion really made for an amazing experience. The bill worked out to be so much cheaper than we thought, we had about 8 different dishes and drinks and it still worked out to be under $100 which was a very pleasant surprise. You'll leave here with a full stomach and a smile on your face. We will definitely be back, thank you for such a great experience.
The food is excellent here. We had the croquette, halloumi salad, pork belly bites, arancini n etc. The price is very reasonable too. The manager is full of energy.
Great night out. Got the chefs menu- 5 courses for $49. Really good food. The lamb shoulder with lentils was a bit more like a curry then Spanish tapas but still quite tasty
Great food, great staff, awesome place. What else do you need! Just take a special partner/friend)
Food is well thought out, presented and delicious. Staff are attentive, friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Large drink selection, with a few surprises.
