Driftwood Estate reviews
22A Lovely selection of wines and wonderful service from Ray. He is very knowledgeable about these wines and also some local history. Beautiful setting. Thank you!
The Best winery ever in Australia. I am from Spain and this is the first wine that taste like European ones. The hospitality of The owners was incredible, Peter did amazing selection in red wine tasting, thank you so much for sure we will come back.
Ate here with family back in December (forgot to leave a review earlier) and had an awesome time. Food tasted really fresh and full of flavour. I have only eaten duck a handful of times and it was absolutely amazing at Driftwood. Service was great too, their were some younger staff that were impressive as well. My family all enjoyed their meals too. Looking forward to coming back soon.
Excellent food, rustic charm and great service. I was never one to drink Chardonnay but the Driftwood Single Site has converted me.
What a surprise to discover this lovely family-owned winery! I came with a group of friends for wine tasting and lunch! We were sitting on the terrace with the stunning view over the vineyards. We shared a couple of starters to share and I then chose to have the gnocchi. The meal was as impressive in size as delicious! We selected a few bottles of white wine alongside our tasty lunch. We had a wonderdul time meeting the owners Tomasino and Helen who are the sweetest humans! A massive thank you to each of the staff that made our day so special, I am so thankful for how well we have been looked after.
We absolutely loved Driftwood Estate. We went for a Friday night dinner - it could not of been better. The food was super fresh and yummy and their wine was a perfect match. Would high recommend the wood fired pizza. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was 10/10. We will be back soon!
Amazing food, perfect venue, great wine and friendly, helpful staff!
Our party of six enjoyed a wonderful lunch and especially appreciated their willingness to meet special dietary requirements.
My husband and I had dinner there a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to take our friends there.they all loved it!
We thoroughly recommend it!
Brilliant food, great wine and friendly efficient service. Sat outside overlooking the vineyards. Perfect day, highly recommended.
We visited in January, Saturday lunch, group of 6. Beautiful experience, amazing food and wine, creative takes on classic cuisine. But the staff stole the show, the owners are the kindest, most welcoming people and made our stay so special! Everyone went above and beyond, will definitely be back! Beautiful balcony overlooking the grounds, great for outdoor eating. Well priced wines with great selection and special offers when buying multiple. Highly recommend!
The family run vineyard experience we all dream about. Nothing pretentious here, just good food, stellar wine selection, welcoming smiles and big laughs. The food was delicious, I had the gnocchi and serving was sizable but everyone else was all too happy to eat what I couldn't. Others had fish and salads which were also delicious, but noted there were options for vegans too. The wine was beautiful (allowed to try what you like), something for every budget, and the chardonnay with lunch was perfection. The setting is peaceful and on the balcony we got the breeze and looked out over the vineyards. The whole experience was so memorable, very laid back European vibes, and at the end the owners even came and had a drink with us.
Thank you Driftwood, you made our weekend so special!
* I don't even write reviews usually but felt compelled to share such a great and unexpected experience
Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Driftwood. The food and service was great, and I loved the family feel of the place.
What a great experience. Great food, great wine, great staff, great environment.
Thanks. So annoyed with myself for not taking photos of our meals.
I had the rack of lamb which was amazing, very tender and tasty. My daughter had the Mediterranean salad bowl with Salmon, she loved it. Service with a smile, great sized serves, lovely view, best place around to go for a meal.
What a treasure trove! Fantastic food, stunning views, friendly and warm staff.
Thank you for a lovely evening.
We went for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by wonderful service followed by beautiful fresh food. The vista is lovely, we’ll be back again.
We arrived here on Friday 9 July after travelling through that dreadful stormy weather. Were greeted by friendly staff and both had the lobster lunch. Beautifully prepared and one of the best lobster meals we have had. Loved the wines with the meal so purchased a bottle each as we left.
Amazing food. Taste, variety within one meal, presentation, unique flavours and rocking Portions. Soooo sick of eating out and although delicious food, but miserable portions for hundreds of $$. Always leaving hungry. Not here. Great service and stunning surroundings. Very happy customer.
Just reopened with a limited luncheon menu. Wow delicious. Great food, great view, friendly staff.
Went on weekend for a wine tasting: attendant was uninviting and disinterested and had little knowledge of the wines being offered; one of many examples did not know the proportions of each variety in the SSB vs the SBS. Whilst the sparkling was enjoyable, I can't even comment on the other wines as I was the driver and on tipping my tasted glass into the provided spittoon was told quite rudely no spitting allowed - I have to drink the wine or not taste at all, so I left. I feel this would be very important information to tell guests on arrival, and whilst they are using COVID-19 as the reason no other wineries doing this. Why have a spitoon at all?
Driftwood Estate warm and inviting with the open fireplace lovely now In winter. Had a look at the amphitheatre amazing, could just imagine it during a concert, would recommend a visit
