I come in the other day and was taken back by the prices of the food most of it is dearer than the regular supermarket and everything is out of code shouldn't it be cheaper being out of code and isn't this to help out the needy. Been homeless for 2 years now and it's a struggle but still cheaper to buy food elsewhere. Being a Christian myself I'm sure this goes against what Jesus would of wanted, lselling the out of date products to people in need dearer than cost of fresh items must be a crime surely.

What a wonderful place cheaper items to purchase, great cafe inside awesome op shop always friendly people working there, free bread veggies n fruit
Also between six and seven free meals doesn’t get any better than that
What a great way too meet new people and learn about the community

One of my favourite shops for op shopping and free bread. My only criticism is that I noticed some items are priced way higher than the shop’s sale price of it and that each worker charges clothes items differently. The expired stuff should be cheaper too. I wish you were still based on Helena St…

I love this place. Everyone is welcome. You can pick up some free food, in particular, bread. The op shop has some great clothes, furniture and knickknacks

So glad this place exists for the vulnerable in our community. Opshop has clothes, accessories, toys, furniture etc. Cafe is great, with a nice courtyard. Mini food market with free and low cost options. Definitely worth visiting.

I've gone to go in after hours, A man has come running towards me, say, no, no you can't come, in here.
Hears a word of advice, when people have been traumatised and have lost confidence and have depression got hardly any money, this is not the Approach. Learn COMPASSION. & LOCK THE DOOR. NOT EVERYONE, KNOWS YOUR HOURS.they get told from other services around midland, go there, they can help.

They are the best place out.
The most giving organization that I am aware of. They really care for all people.

Great place for a coffee and meeting up with friends, free coffee for seniors on Tuesdays with a seniors card. Limited space inside for seating but loads in undercover patio area with a country feel to it. Staff are very friendly they have an op shop attached and sell food for low income families though I found prices to be on par if not slightly dearer than Coles or Woolworths but some bargains can be found especially with their premade meals.

It's a shame I heard great things so I thought I would take a look very uninviting when you first walk in.man on the front old grump, noticed food items on shelf out of date by adleast a few years prices are quite expensive you would be better off going too coles and woolies when they are there one dollar dazzle items and specials, I'm glad theres the salvos for the people who really need the help as this place just isnt suitable.

Good range of free food but the boss can be two faced and particular. Is only there half the time. Doesn’t get on the back of those who work there that don’t get on the shop floor and sort out stock on shelves, restock etc when there is no food or clothes to process. Especially the two morbidly obese fellas.

Awesome place for free fresh bread daily - by fresh, i mean it's on the expired date but still soft and edible, just I guess not allowed to be sold at coles/woolies. Op shop is really cheap and the clothing are all great quality too. A lot of the electronics, glass/tubberware are pretty sticky and dusty though.

Agreed with other comments that grocery section is pretty close or often dearer than bigger chain supermarkets, but I've been told it's not donated to them and they stock out of pocket. This makes me more than happy to help to pay extra to help fund this amazing place that really does seem like they want to help people with their free dinners, emergency vouchers etc.

Quality items, low prices and friendly staff. The organisation has been well known for its support in the Local area and so I can see it thriving here in its layout.

*I was happy to have found this cool retro game at an amazing price*

What can you say, free bread, vegetables, fruit. Then other products like tinned items, frozen fish, meat, cereal etc.basically everything else is chargeable.
There are the odd comments about these sometimes being more expensive than supermarkets, but the simple reason is these products are not donated, and are purchased by Dreambuilders themselves.i have seen genuine leather jackets worth easily over $, for as low as $18. Staff are quick and on the ball.
Helping the homeless and those in financial hardship is just awesome. You could actually put most of the clothes on the shelves of you Kmart, Target etc, and people wouldn't know the difference, except a saving to the hip pocket.
