On the 8th of July of the present year my Mitsubishi Delica 2000 Petrol V6  was  taken to Dragos Autos for a checking and general maintenance, agreed a few days before with the mechanic in charge.
As we spoke, we agreed that after the checkup I was going to receive the quote with the arrangements. But the mechanic started the fix the van without consulting me first.

From there, we kept a conversation via SMS, detailing all the parts being reviewed and whether a repair/exchange of parts was necessary or not.
The budget was NEVER presented, by the mechanic. Although it was requested on several occasions. I only found out how much the fix was worth the day I went to pick up the van. $4495 Aud.

Lastly, After a month (22/08/23) the car suffered a major breakdown, since the harmonic balancer pin snapped producing the crankshaft pulley to  get completely loose and roll over on the highway, and the belts getting loose as well on the AC, steering wheeling and alternator, leaving the van completely useless. The snap of the pin and the consequent loss of the pulley is an event very unusual, which might be related to an over-tightened pulley bolt  or a loose fitting on the contrary.
The car has been towed from Carnarvon back to Perth (1.650 Aud), requested by the mechanic itself for its review.
After waiting more than two weeks, Drago Auto fixed the van but at an additional cost of $1,232 Aud, which includes the new parts and the labour hours as well.  
He charged me again for the same arrangement/fixing that he had already done in July. I spend more than $7300 in 2 months.

I needed a transmission removed and refit a second hand one. I was given one that came with the VW van that turned out to be the wrong model so I got another one and took it there. The van went in with all the drive to the wheels removed already so it was just unbolt the transmission around 6 bolts and two hoses and for the replacement transmission and drive axeles. So for expert mechanics with a well equipped workshop charging $120 per hour to remove the old transmission of the bolts and hoses I was thinking 1 hour. To fit the new transmission and axles and hoses 5 hours, so say $750, but even allowing for 2 additional hours, let's say $1000. But no I got a bill for $1750. He said with all the mucking around "it had to be worth 2 days work". When I dared to question the bill he got angry and brought in the worker and said they spent actually 3 days on it! How could it possibly take three days for such a very basic old 1995 transmission swap out? ! I've had cars that had whole engine and transmission swap outs that hardly take one day! I'd already paid him$1000 cash upfront so I guess he'd spent that and wanted to double dip. Won't be going back. Off to court now because I can't get my vehicle back until I pay his extortion bill according to him.

A Mechanic I wouldn’t recommend.
Went to this Mechanic to fix water/oil leaks and to do a safty check. Doesn’t listen to what you want done and then tells you there has been a miscommunication. So has to redo the work. What should have cost $1800.00 ended up costing $3100.00. A great double dipping.
When the same problem started up again after 1500 k’s was told it was the part they use. Took it back 3 times to fix under warranty and on the third time was told he didn’t want to see the delica again if it starts up again.
It's up to you if you want to use them. I won't be going back

Drago and his team provides easily the best mechanical advice and knowledge for Mitsubishi Pajeros and cars in general. I've gone there for simple fluid changes to replacing entire clutches on an old Pajero and thrust bearings on a Nissan Pulsar. One of the best mechanics to go to and my favourite part is being consistently up to date on how the car is going, what is wrong and consistent communication between Drago and the customer. A must go-to if you need a local mechanic to work on any car you own.

Took my Mitsubishi Pajero into Drago’s for a standard logbook service and couldn’t recommend his knowledge and automotive services more.
Drago was thorough and clear in his communication and recommendations about my vehicle, honest about the urgency in repairs and gave me the choice to decide on all matters relating to my vehicle and pricing.
My car received the most care and attention it had since purchasing new in 2018 and now I will not take my vehicle anywhere else.

Good honest reliable mechanic. From pre-purchase inspection to 5 years ago to providing a complete mechanical service to my Pajero. I honestly wouldn't let anyone else touch my car except Drago. He is honest as the day is long and have complete faith in his automotive expertise.

He goes above and beyond for his customers. Case in point. I was on a 2-week overlanding and fishing adventure in Exmouth when my car started throwing codes. I rang Drago he guided me through a temporary fix until I could get home.

He will often send me video footage of Specific jobs I've asked him to complete. He will contact me before completing larger jobs including evidence of why they needed to be done.

I've recommended him to several of my friends and my family who now all use Dragos services.

I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
