Dr Michael Miu

From my first consultation with Dr Michael Mui, I felt at ease with the best course of treatment he recommended for my lumbar pain and sciatic pain on my left side.   After having four procedures, in June and July, then again in October and November 2023 in day hospitalisation, the care received by Dr Mui and his team before and after was excellent. After many years of suffering, my pain has decreased enormously and has made a positive impact to my functionality and life. I feel younger!   I am very happy with my experience. Thank you Dr Mui.
I will definitely seek further treatment by Dr Mui in the future if my pain returns and I highly recommend that anyone suffering with pain issues to make an appointment with Dr Mui. He is a first class pain specialist.

After nearly two decades of lower back pain, and trying many non-surgical treatments until finally having spinal surgery at the L4/L5 vertebrae in 2017, that didn't overly work as ther was pinched nerve pain still that the neurosurgeon wanted to fuse the vertebrae to fix, I was finally referred to Dr Mui who stated the fusion wasn't needed and was drastic and he could fix the issue.

Well after the first treatment, I was able to play with my grandson on the floor without making struggling noises or suffering pain or discomfort trying to get back up.
Sleep has been uninterrupted from back pain so my sleep pattern has improved and overall so has my mood.
After the second treatment, what residual discomfort that has remained, is slowing going away as expected as informed by Dr Mui.

I don't normally give five star ratings to any reviews, but Dr Mui has provided a great service that I wish I had of had years ago that could have changed my life back then.

I'd happily refer the Dr to any other pain sufferers.

Dr M. Miu is a great doctor with Wealth of knowledge. He has given me options to help with my back pain and ensured peace of mind. The options he gave me are minimally invasive and conservative without surgery as I'm frightened of it. Dr Miu is a very caring doctor and ensures he keeps in touch with his patients if there was any issues regarding their post procedures. Great bedside manner before and after procedures. He does the best of his ability to help when he can. Dr Simon Papaelias is a great Anaesthetists who is also very kind and professional. The Receptionist she's super friendly, wonderful and polite. It is unfortunate that I feel compelled to provide a 2 star experience; resulting in not seeing Dr Miu due to 2 receptionist's aversive non-patient-centred approach. The patient journey begins well before speaking to the receptionist. However, they are vital in supporting Dr Miu's positive patient interactions according to these reviews. This is a piece of the positive patient experience that I was deprived of.

Thank you so very much Dr Michael Miu, I woke up this morning to something I haven’t experienced for approximately 12 years. I had a work place injury in January 2011, and have been in constant pain since then.
I was employed by local government in NSW and believe me they sent me to many Dr’s pain specialists as well I was made redundant.
Anyway I was lead to believe that I would be on pain medication for the rest of my life (64 male with 4 beautiful grandchildren under 7yo) and getting around cranky bad moods.
But when we came home after 40 years over east and finding a great GP who referred me to Michael who actually listened to my complaints and after my first procedure has given me hope that I can push the medication away” thank you so very much Michael, I sure as hell will be coming back to you for my follow up procedures.
