This man is not only an excellent pain specialist he's an all round cool guy! The achievements he's managed so far in his life put most people to shame. He is direct to the point, doesn't mince his words and will call you out if you are. Well let's just say non compliant. Just the kind of health professional I respect, you don't leave there with any doubts about the care plan. Thank you Dr Finch, even for the times you came across a tad abrupt it's all good! I must also say the same for Natalie, she lets you know on no uncertain terms if you break a practice rule. Natalie's put me in my place for sure, but she's to the point and great at her job!

Dr Finch is not the pain specialists for everyone, he is blunt and to the point and he tends to tell it how it is.

He will ensure he has all of the information necessary to recommend the most appropriate and evidence based effective treatment, he is NOT the sort of doctor that just prescribes medication without reasonable cause.

If you are looking for a doctor that will be interested and invested in your personal story and treatment he will provide you with the most appropriate course of treatment for the best possible outcomes than he is the right doctor for you if you are willing to invest in yourself.

However.

If you are simply looking for a doctor to write you scripts for pain meds or medical cannabis on the first appointment then you need to keep looking, as Dr Finch will encourage you to attend an appropriate number of appointments so he is able to gather as much information and medical history as he needs, to make the best possible treatment recommendations.

TLDR: If you want a doctor who genuinely cares about you as a pain sufferer and takes the appropriate amount of time to make treatment recommendations then he is the right doctor for you.
If you are looking for a quick script for opiods benzos or cannabis, then you should probably find an alternative pain specialist.

I have seen Dr. Finch for the last 17 years unfortunately! He is excellent in making people feel less anxious. When I was in hospital he came into see me on a Sunday. When I had tests he waited around for the results. The whole team are so helpful
I am hoping Dr. Finch doesn't retire anytime soon. Thank you.

Dr Finch has an excellent reputation which I can certainly endorse because his care and attention in recommending and installing a Nevro Spinal Cord Simulator to control severe pain in my lower back and sacroiliac joints resulted in me going off pain killers (1.5 morphine patches) almost instantly.
