Dr. John Bandouvakis - Wembley Clinic

Purely writing this review after seeing the comments about what I assume is his previous receptionist (while sitting in the waiting room). His current one is lovely and helpful, including today.

I went today for a review and they forgot to tell me that I needed a new referral so I had to pay the extra money in full. The excuse they used was that there has been a change of staff and they’re also moving to 199 Cambridge St from 1st Feb.
If there were other available allergists, I’d probably go there but it’s been really hard to book an initial consultation with any allergists in Perth.

Turn up for my appointment on the 30/8. Driven all the way from Busselton. Apparently the doctor is away on a conference. They tried to call once but never heard back from me, I travel overseas often and never got the msg.
How about try and call several times to cancel an appointment or even send an email to the address you have of mine. Very rude. Im beyond annoyed. Would give zero stars if I could.

Dr Bandouvakis is good and seems very experienced and keeping up to date with the new treatments. Bear in mind that he makes his own vials so claiming it with your private health insurance is a pain. (I’m with Bupa and I haven’t been able to).
There’s usually paid parking on Cambridge st. I saw that there’s a parking at the back but it seems it’s only for staff or visitor parking are quite limited.
However, calling to book an appointment can be difficult. I left 2 messages on the voicemail, called 10 times over the last 2 weeks. The line is always busy and the receptionist hasn’t called me back yet. So now I’ll go in person to book the appointment! I’m tired of waiting…

I’ve been getting my allergies treated by Dr Bandouvakis for over a year. I find him to be really pleasant and efficient. His receptionist is lovely and if I call and they don’t answer, she calls back within minutes or faster.
I would highly recommend this doctor for anyone with allergies.

I have been Dortor Bandouvakis's patient for so many year. The previous receptionist, Janet was brilliant, always answered calls and messages. The latest receptionist is absolutely hopeless. I have been calling for the past 3 weeks, could never got through, left lots of voicemail, but never received any phone call back. Definitely not the first time I experienced this situation since doctorchangedhis receptionist. Absolutely unprofessional!

Rang to change an appointment & the receptionist rang back within 1/2 hour which as great.
Couldn't get a word in as Janet the receptionist talked constantly, talked over me & than ended up hanging up on me when I tried to say something. Need to actually LISTEN to their patients rather than talking like an excited teenager without regard for their CUSTOMER - yes that is what we are!
Will be finding another Allergist to go to
