My boys have been with Jodi on and off since she started. I think they were 4 and 5? They are 15 and 16 now.
She is a fab OT, and whilst she doesn't do our therapy herself now, if ever we need her, she is always there to help.

DST was instrumental in helping my boys get better plans at AAT recently, and I would 100% recommend them.

I have used them myself, as I have MS, and their physio helped me get a beach wheelchair, so I could go to the beach again. SO HAPPY!

When you have therapy as long and as often as we do, there is always bumps. It is how they are dealt with that matters. That is how you know how good a company is. This one is great.

My 10yo receives Occupation Therapy for emotional regulation amongst other things to support his ADHD in school and home environment. We definitely wouldn't be where we are without these sessions. My son loves his sessions with Grace and I am very happy with the services provided.
This industry has gone through extreme growth, so reading through the negative reviews, some seem more like people not understanding the demand on these services and the difficulty in providing required services with staff shortages, covid, and trying to recruit and retain skilled workers.
Ignore the negative reviews, give these guys a call.

Prior to being with Down South Therapy I was with a company who weren’t reliable, overcharged hugely and talked down to me. I used to dread my therapy days because I disliked it so much. Since being with Down South that has changed. My Physio Jill and OT Naomi have made every effort to learn about my very complex medical history, are friendly and always listen. My situation is constantly changing and I have more than my fair share of medical emergencies. They always deal with these professionally and adapt my therapy to suit my needs. My support workers often comment how much better my medical team is compared to other clients they work with, and I’d highly recommend Down South to anyone.

My Son has been receiving therapy for the past three years and I have had nothing but good experiences with the therapists and admin team. He has also attended some groups which he thoroughly enjoyed. The improvement we have seen in the past three years is largely down to the amazing therapy and support we have received by Down South Therapy. Thank you!

Disappointing and unreliable. Complete lack of communication, after paying $170 for the first session expecting to see a therapist fortnightly has been a nightmare to book in and a lot of “we’ll get back to you”

A company to stay away from.regular staff changes, unreliable service They assisted/advised me with getting equipment that wasn't really appropriate for my situation and could not help with getting it right. Set my rehab back about 12 months. I now have to justify to the NDIS why I need more equipment.

Some interesting points regarding DST response:

After being told for several months that no O. T.s were available to look at the equipment issues, I informed DST that I was looking to move to different providers. DST then offered to have a senior physio look at the equipment as an O. T.was not available. I declined this and ceased O. T.services as another provider was available to assist with obtaining the correct equipment. DST accepted this and did not offer to assist.
I continued with physio services with DST until I suffered an injury which was an indirect consequence of the equipment issues. As the injury required additional physio services, I ceased physio services with DST because it would be inappropriate for DST to profit from the additional services. DST accepted this and did not offer to assist. DST made no further comment until I provided feedback to NDIA commission about my experience.
I am currently working with new providers to obtain the correct equipment and will probably receive it around 18 months after receiving the original equipment.

My daughter has received ongoing treatment from Down South Therapy for the past 2 years, they have ONLY just infomed me her Therapist no longer works there & they have no other therapist available. Very dissapointing as we have invested much time & money over the years. Now I am back to square one trying to find a new therapist.

Update: I do not recommend Down South Therapy at all. Please stay away from them. As you can see from the screenshots below, that my son was a client of them, unfortunately, and now they are trying to save their face by denying my son was their client, they done us a favour by exposing themselves publicly, there's nothing I can say bad about them, they are actually saying it themselves, so please listen to them. Your OT Rene was fired because she took it upon herself to change course of therapy without discussing it with me, two weeks in a row. Despise me making it clear, before we signed agreement, what is expected of her, and never mind that she agreed to my conditions of what my son goals are. Your "Speach Therapist" was fired because she failed in every aspect of our agreement. At our first meeting I made it clear that our NDIS plan is about to finish in 2,5-3 months, so her goal is to build a relationship with my son, and to write a report to NDIS to obtain founding for a communication device, and once new plan was approved, communication device purchased, her role is to assist my son to use it. She agreed to all of the conditions above. She wrote her recommendation letter for a communication device, based on that letter we were almost 3K short to purchase it, she have displayed shock of the price? ! And adviced not to worry she will apply for a loan and based on that loan she will write a recommendation letter for second plan. There was a wait list for communication device, she cancelled one of her appointments, she knew well that there was certainly amount of hours needed to achieve with one device, and NDIS actually required trial of two different devices before they would accept recommendation letter, with wait list and and a luck of reservation from "Speach Therapist" there was not enough time. So your "Speach Therapist" failed to obtain a communication device two NDIS plan in a row, so therfore I've fired her. Oh just imagine how rude I am, how unreasonable. Even if I clearly stated at the very beginning what her role is, and what was expected of her, not to mention that she agreed to everything until I've signed agreement, after that it was completely different story. Also, meeting was organised behind my back, which goes against everything social services stand for, not to mention that I was never invited to that meeting, nor I've ever received minutes of meeting. And now you have a nerve to state that you have no record my son being your client. Thank you for broadcasting the truth, there's nothing that I can say about your company that would damage your reputation, you doing it yourself, so thank you, thank you kindly from the bottom of my hart, because I've expected good old of passing of the buck and blaming the victim narrative, I honestly did not expect of you to help us to uncover the truth. Again, thank you. I believe I need to be grateful becouse people usually jump to conclusions when they realise English is not my first language, so they think they can take us for a ride, guees what I still have paperwork and I'm writing a letter to Royal Commission into Disability Sector.

One star rating, only because there is no option for zero rating, unfortunately. Staff members, that I have been unlucky to deal with, are very unprofessional, higly uneducated, and have zero work ethics. At the beginning, they have had come across as higly skilled, and highly trained professionals, until you've signed agreement, then everything changes. All suddenly, without a warning, or communications, I have found myself trapped with a "therapists" in what it seemed like a parody movie, but unfortunately, unlike the parody movie, this was the real life, and unfortunate victim is a disabled child, who had no help or benefit from the said therapists. I hope this feedback would help future clients, to be aware of what they are getting themselves into, and hopefully by that, they would be able to amend the agreement with the Down South Therapy, that would benefit client/s, not just the company.
