Double R Equipment Repairs Karratha

As dodgy as it gets. Went in for a simple service and they tried to squeeze about a million dollars out of me. Avoid at all costs.

After leaving this review, Nathan the mechaniccalled me and aggressively questioned me about it and sarcastically said “thanks for the feedback, ” then hung up the phone. Not professional at all.

We dropped our caravan off as requested at 7am this morning for a wheel alignment on one wheel. I phoned at 12.30 to see when it would be ready only to be told it would not be ready until 4pm. The reason being that the guy who was to do the job had a late call out last night. I understand these things happen. A simple phone call to say the van wouldn’t be ready until 4pm would have been appreciated. Then we wouldn’t have wasted 5 and a half hours wondering about waiting on a call. We would have just went back and got the van which we did eventually.

Nathan was great and really helpful. He sorted my vehicle out and the staff were very friendly. 5 stars!

I rang Doube R after having brake problems heading past Karratha on a 3.5 Month trip from QLD. I spoke with Nic who said that they could look at my VW Amarok but wouldn't have time to fix anything as they were under the pump and down on staff.
We showed up and spoke to Nic. Nic saw our young baby and put us onto Jose who is their VW specialist. Jose quickly diagnosed our issue as stuck front brake pistons due to corrosion from excess water crossings and sand. (spot on). They were told 4 days for the parts.

Nic arranged a company vehicle to let us tow our van to a nearby caravan park to set up as our car was unsafe. After being told the following day parts were going to be 10 days and would ruin our trip, Jose was able to remove, clean and reassemble our breaks to get them working so we could get home. While there I spoke to auto electrician Caitlin who fixed a trailer charging issue.
I could not recommend these guys enough. You can get quality mechanics and auto electricians at a lot of places but the customer service of these guys was amazing. They went over an above to get my young family on the road again when they really didn't have to. We weren't a regular client or mining contract but they put other jobs aside to sort us out. They were dead set legends and really nice people.

Stopped everything to look at & advise us on our problem with our van, wouldn't take any money so lovely

Very expensive and time per job is outrageous but in karratha there isn't many other options
