D'Orsogna reviews
26Bought a 4 pack of Hungarian salami from Woolies in Townsville. Use by date of 13 March ‘24. Got to say this was inedible stodge.
Have just emailed d'orsogna today as i called yesterday and stated my reason to make a comment on a product that i wasnt happy with, put through to another dept, got a voice mail asking me to leave a number etc, no call back, your product of cooked german salami is terrible, no taste odd smell, nothing like a salami at all and at 73yo i have consumed some amazing continental meats and this on should not even have the product described as continental range its no more a salami than i am an italian.i am glad i decided to use it before i put it on my christmas platter.
The Block Riverland Sandwich Ham 4x4 is disgusting, full of gristle and bits of scrap ham glued together.
At new high price $9.20 a kilo for scrap ham, terrible!
Normally I buy the excellent Primo brand At Campbells but thought I’d give a WA company a go, but No good.
My slicer had to be sharpened 2 times for one block and the noise while it was cutting this cheap block ham, not good.
The use of the word Quality is used flagrantly now days.
It’s either good quality or bad quality.
You guys at D’Orsogna must think it’s very funny, well I won’t be buying again.
I am disapointed to find that the so called natural range of products contaions the flavour enhanser Hydrolized Vegitable Proteen this chemical made by boiling proteen in hydrocloric acid can contain up to 30% MSG. So I would not think one could consider it "Natural"I therefore avoid using any of their products
Ben and the crew are the best!
We have been coming here for years and always come for your pork and small goods and extras.you will always be happy spending money here
Forget about the great priceing and bargains. The kind and intentive staff, are great at customer service.
Not happy with what they call shaved Salami as most time you buy the packet saying shaved and only a couple of pieces are and the rest is just normal sliced. They need to quality control this more.
A hidden gem. Always good prices and the quality is literally straight from the market.
Regular specials mean we can have a Cavier lifestyle on a Bread and Butter income Single parent friendly AS
Sent an email through regarding their polony which has 50% imported ingredients wasn’t impressed with their response which didn’t help
I recommend you do not buy the Cacciatora salami, it is priced at $32.50 a kilo as if it is a quality salami. Nothing is further from the truth! You spend more time spitting out the indigestible parts which were many rather than eating the small percentage that was'nt! They are passing of a low quality product as a quality product on a public that does not know better.
Jeeze I love this place!
Great prices and a terrific range of pork and lamb fresh meat as well as their classic Cabanosi, hams, sausages, mortadella etc etc etc.
Covid safe Environment. Card only sales, No Cash! Quick and friendly service. Worth the 25 minutes drive if you love your pork products!
It's worth the 21 minute drive depending how heavy the freeway traffic is. Mother knows best, she told me where to get best pork belly in town. Do yourself a favour, disregard the 1 star ratings. If you LOVE PORK. Check out this place.
I bought a mini honey leg ham. Way Way too much salt. I've washed the slices twice and tney are almost ok. Tne smoke flavor is good but what with the salt. Yuk. Thankfully i have another meat backup
Good butcher place for meats, especially pork. Was recommended and came here to get pork belly, minced meat and ribs. Will definitely come back here again for regular visits!
I just bought some Dorsogna prosciutto from Iga. It is tasteless and looks like plastic. It's probably good enough for some people that got no idea how real prosciutto taste like.
I worked in this butcher shop years ago such a shame, Display fridges empty looks sad.and still work in food service not just a snobby bobby.
I'm gob smacked. Why is the majority of D'orsogna bacon, coming from North America and Europe. What is wrong with our Aussie Pork. I can't see how's you can justify it. Unless it's cheap rubbish, being offloaded on to the unsuspecting, Australian consumer. Please explain.
Nice meat, good prices. Some factory seconds at very good prices. Not fancy but more like an old style butchers shop. Parking can be a pain at busy periods.
Poor service. Rude staff. Martin needs a lesson in customer service. Disgusting attitude. Will never buy from here again
