Dôme Café - Port Hedland reviews
31 I went for lunch on a Thursday and the service was pleasant and staff friendly, though I'm not a fan of having to go to the counter to order. I ordered the fish tacos with wedges, and it was delicious. My only critique is that it wasn't quite spicy hot enough for me, but this dish will appeal to the masses.
The restaurant itself was clean, had plenty of space and felt relaxed.
I have frequented DOME at Port Hedland for many years, returning back there for a visit I found the food was still awesome. Tasty and well priced. Service good as usual.
Good place for a nice coffee and breakfast. Good view of ships entering and leaving port. Timings are very short.
Great place for coffee while watching the ships enter and leave the port. The sense of history is beautiful as the Dome was historically the District Medical Officer's Quarters
Dome cafe in Port Hedland is a lovely place to stop by for a cup of coffee and a quick snack. The cafe is located in a beautiful old building that gives a charming vibe to the entire atmosphere. However, I did find the food options to be limited and lacking in variety.
Despite this, the quality of the food was good, and the coffee was excellent. The staff was friendly and provided excellent customer service. Overall, I would recommend visiting Dome cafe in Port Hedland for a nice coffee break or a quick bite, especially if you appreciate historic buildings.
Very accomodating staff, very nice food, comfortable place to eat, they even have table outside.
I have always loved Dome, but since covid the restaurant does not "cook" food. You can order a slice of cake or a biscuit with your coffee, and there's banana bread or muffins as well, but the kitchen does not cook meals. It's been reopened for over a year but still only serves the cake cabinet, and I really miss the waffles and the eggs Benedict and the ceaser salad.
Stopped by to have brunch after morning exercise.
The building gave luxurious vibe with spacious lobby (ordering area), dining area (has 2nd floor!) also with Xmas decorations.
I ordered pancake stack (with maple syrup, berries and ice cream) and spearmint shake. Good portion and yummy.
Really interesting spot to watch the massive iron ore shops get towed out. Would be nice to have a better choice for lunch but I guess it’s covid or something
Gem of a place on the waterfront. Watching huge ships coming and going while having coffee and cake.heaven!
We go there for brunch and iced coffee. Parking across the street. The Dome business is a professionally run restaurant and eatery. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Over priced rubbish, coffee very bitter, the
Toasty said with chips the chips were out of a packet.
What a treat to find this place!
Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Food was great!
Coffee amazing!
Adults had Ham and Cheese croissants and coffee and kids had waffles and hot chocolates.
Kids were entertained with colouring books and pencils provided.
We sat out the back near the back deck and the music playing was lovely and the view over the water was great as well!
You have all done a great job!
Well done!
I was in love with the view from this Dome Cafe. They don't have much on the menu but I ordered the waffles with fresh fruits and was just lovely.
Very happy with the friendly staff. Reduced menu but what is being served is very nice. Can't wait till is back up running with full service menu and hours.
Very friendly staff, food and coffee was great but the menu was very limited to what Dome normally offers.
It's a Dome.
Not much to say.
Nice to watch the ships come and go though.
Just had the worst coffee of my life on Monday at Dome and I don't say that lightly. Love what they've done carrying for this historic building but the actual product ended up in the bin.
The friendly ladies working today were absolutely lovely. Such friendliness is rare to come across. Great job.
Driving into town i truly felt like a lovely breakfast, yes good bacon and eggs. The bacon and eggs were cooked on a plate that tasted like it sadly needed a clean, the eggs were burnt around the edges from old food scraps and the bacon was no better, the toast was badly burnt on one side.
The toilets smelled of old pee. I won't be coming back.
