Dôme Café - Eastend reviews
41Staff member making coffee was either having a really bad day or should resign from hospo work altogether
Great & fast service. Didn't have to wait long for our drinks and breakfast. The big breakfast meal was delicious.
Espresso filled in cold cups: Noone seems to understand the function of the heater plate on too of the espresso machine: stacking multiple cups above each other does not work as you always pick from the top and the cold one.
I love the Eggs Benny with the English Spinach and hollandaise sauce, I always wish for more sauce
I come here almost daily for the coffee,
The staff are quick, efficient and always willing to go that little step further.
This is the best Dome I've been to by far.
Will never go there again. The wait was so long for the coffee and they were not busy. Wait was longer for food! Pancakes were terrible and my beef and gravy roll pretty much came with no gravy. By the time they bought out extra gravy food was cold and not appetising at all. $45 wasted!
Dome is Dome is Dome! Just like every other Dome, you can rely on your favorite dish to taste exactly as it should or like you're used to it tasting. This is great if you're a fussy eater! Next time I'll order more marscapone on my pancakes!
This was my first time visiting this Dome and I loved it. It's a huge location with lots of seating available.
The customer service was friendly, efficient and professional. They were so busy but service was so quick. Staff worked really well as a team. Super impressed.
The scrambled eggs were amazing and my coffee was spot on. The ciabata bread is so delicious. Next time I'll have to order an extra slice.
My friend had the Big Breakfast and was not disappointed. It was delicious and well presented.
I always enjoy visiting Domes as they are so consistent with their wonderful menu. I Always enjoy the food and service.
This cafe requires a massive facelift. Unacceptable to sit on ripped worn chairs and old worn tables. I never been to such a tardy Dome. One star is for the staff which = 5 gold stars for service. Hot you lift your game Dome management
Coffee is ok and food is ok. Nothing special but a serviceable place to grab a quick and reliable feed. I had breakfast which was pretty good, nothing to write home about, toast with avocado, mushroom and egg. It's usually reliable.
Quick and friendly service at the counter and for food service. The table didn't get wiped as it was quite sticky, I'd assume they just collected dishes without cleaning it.
Ice chocolate was pretty good - it was with ice cream too. Waffle was quite sweet - if maple syrup poured into it, it'd be too sweet. The toppings: ice cream and strawberries - ice cream portion seemed not even 1 scoop.
We loved this place during out holiday. Much better than the breakfast at the hotel. The staff was super friendly. Great people and food
Not impressed at all, as an expert Dometrotter I am appalled by what was served to me for lunch today.
I ordered an avocado stack with salmon and a large cappuccino, the coffee was bitter and took me 3x sugar to mellow it out. The food, oh my gosh, the eggs were overcooked and had an immensely overpowering taste of vinegar. May as well have splashed vinegar all over the dish because that’s all I could taste.
They were very shy with the avocado, I can only assume there is some sort of worldwide shortage and they needed to ration it out carefully. Worst of all (puke) the tiny offcuts of salmon they gave me were old, smelly, and had been cooked in parts (spearing very pale and had a mushy texture), it was so awful I was in fact grateful they rationed that out too with an obvious and careful consideration of the over-fishing of our oceans.
Dometrotter score 1/10, feral, will not return.
This was the worst coffee experience I have had at a dome. Indifferent service and sub standard coffee, stale croissant.
Coffee is bad, breakfast is average.ordered the vegetarian breakfast and the tomato came out raw.cook your tomatoes people!
Asked for a Doubleshot latte got warm milk ham and cheese croissants was soft out of a microwave banana bread wasn’t toasted as it specifies on the menu won’t be coming back
Had stacked avocado with bacon. Meal was tasty, I can almost forgive the slightly undercooked poached egg, but I dont feel it was worth the $18 price tag. Overpriced menu, probably wont return here.
Good breakfast great service especially the table service she was very helpful, always good coffee
Just one of the run down places. Its not a cheap place but the sea food platter we ordered was one. Greasy onion rings, over fried prawn fry, squid and dry potato chips. Even the apples used in the pie was sour with minimum cinnamon. May be the chef had an off day, but hey my lunch was ruined.
Had toasted sandwich. Outside of Turkish bread was super hard to bite through and even harder to cut. The inside became the outside lol. Had it Saturday arvo so must have been a bun from the weekday.
