Tired rooms, frosty reception. Our flight was delayed by cyclone Jasper and they were 100% inflexible on fees. We paid $580 for the one night instead of four, that we we could make, for a basic double cabin.

Not up to the same standard as other G’day Parks and a hell of a lot more expensive. The amenities are old and quite dirty due to all the miners that stay on the camp, however the staff have advised they are in the middle of refurbing the facilities so hopefully they’ll be easier to maintain to a satisfying standard.
The sites are quite crammed in, but you do have a big slab for your car and some grass space.
The staff have bumped my rating up due to them being very understanding and lovely.

Be prepared
As a short stay you may be lucky enough to not have to deal with the toxic behaviour of the front desk because never have I ever seen such horrendous customer service before, if you catch them on a good day and they are nice then cherish it because it doesn’t happen often.
As a long term stay be prepared to get over charged for electricity bills and rent payments as it seems to be very hard to stay on top of it. Be prepared to be spoken to and treated like dirt. If you don’t stay on top of your own things they will try and get away with what they can get away with.
We have been living here for 6 months and they are trying to kick us out before our contract finishes, they are trying to over charge our neighbours who pay in advance, they miscount electricity bills, they don’t have a proper system so everyone will get different procedures for an agreement, the list could go on and on. The people running this place have no idea and will turn a blind eye because they don’t want to deal with it.
If your looking to stay long term, as good as the location is, the drama the discovery team brings ruins it all.
Honestly go somewhere else.

Large grassy sites. Space for parking car in front of site. Amenities good, but could be cleaner. Laundry $4 per wash with plenty of hanging space. Good for families as has playground on site and other kids for your kids to play with. Local IGA and Pump Park close by.

We stopped here for 1 night and left early the next day.
Close to town, good for children. Van had to be parked on the concrete slab.

I had a gas bottle refilled here. The staff were lovely!
They let me leave it and do some shopping in town, then pick it up when I was finished.

I would like to thank Lisa the breath of fresh air at the park, She was always cheerful, professional, and helpful giving the park the welcoming touch it so desperately needs. Lisa found time in her obvious busy schedule to stop a nd say g, day. Our unit was very clean on our arrival. The park is very lucky to have such a kind genuine hardworking employee. She represents the park is such a great way. As a business owner with many staff I would like to mention she has what it takes to make a business shine Great stay. A smile to remember.

My mum stayed in a single person cabin. There were to a block and no room to move on verandah. The room was clean. I stayed in a powered site and the camp bathrooms were clean and the shower was good. The buildings all looked like they needed a good clean outside. I know it’s a dusty town but just saying.

The room was clean but stunk like cigarettes. Skirting boards eaten by termites and mouldy so had fans going. Cockroach in bathroom. Plumbing made noises all night, keeping us awake. Do not recommend.

I booked a chalet a 2 bedroom chalet for my parents and us weeks in advance. We arrived very early and at a reasonable hour in morning sent an email asking if we could get early checkin we were willing to pay the extra. We got a response to the fact, short staffed, cleaning cabin but would let us know if they could accommodate, that was the last we heard from them. The chalet was dated, black mould in the shower in the ensuite, door catch didnt work so door banged until wr stopped it. We had to race out and buy our own cutlery to eat our dinner as there were 2 forks and 3 knives to share betwern 4 people. We discoverd the shower water ran under the chalet, not down the sewage chanel. Front of office staff, unhelpful not very friendlu and even though we spoke this through eith the managet, who seemed nice enough to our faces, never followed through with anything. As past long term residents of karratha itself, we were very disappointed at the service and the standard of accommadation thst people visiting our lovely town are paying a fortune for.

After shower hoping from shower to shower to get hot water finally get one and the drain is blocked. Not happy. If you have a long van and vehicle it is very tight to get around the corners.

An oldie but a Goldie. Nice sites although a little worst for wear. The sites are too too small for the modern vans, still the trees and.the layout of the park is okay, just a little bit of a need of a refurbished and tidy up.
The staff are friendly and helpful. But the reception staff are in need of a reminder to be courteous and friendly to the patrons staying in the park sites.
Overall we are happy and healthy and enjoying the stay.

Large caravan spots
Friendly staff
Only thing why not 5 stars, only one washing machine working but not working properly, still washing powder on clothes.
Otherwise everything is clean

Showers are pretty gross looking, quiet park, pool is only open 10-5 which is disappointing

Only stay here as a last resort. Toilets are only cleaned twice a week. No toilet paper in stalls. No hand paper to dry with. Dirty floors. Cold showers on 3 occasions. Unclean sites with debris including rusty wires, nails and bottle caps. Unpleasant patrons partying hours past quiet times. Management are welcome to contact me regarding a refund of my costs as I will be putting my Discovery membership aside in favour of other branded parks for the rest of my travels.

Possibly the worst stay i've had anywhere, to start off the door to our cabin was broken, obviously had been kicked in and they just tried to screw it back together which did F' all, a 5yo could push it open, the shower was just a dribble and useless and too top it off the aircon in my room was F'd which made it impossible to sleep which was the whole point of staying here, it's not like i came for the view, SHOULD BE 0/5 stars

Stayed in a Deluxe cabin with 2A and 2CH. There are plenty of cabin choices all lined up. We had 2 Queen size bedroom with there own aircon and own TV. Kitchen is equipped for 4pax but the pots are fairly small to cook for 4. The shower didn't have a door or curtain, water everywhere. The park is missing some love, feels, looks very dated. Best part was the solar heated outdoor pool (1m - 2.10m) for the kids. There is a playground for little kids. Wifi is not working in cabin.

Staff were welcoming at the front office but park presents as overrun and unkempt. Broken glass over the roadway out the front of our ensuited caravan spot. The light inside the ensuite didn't work, fixed the second day, no grass just dirt around our spot, The swimming pool has grime all around above the waterline, camp kitchen was dirty with cupboards hanging off. General ground maintenance was poor. Not a pleasant stay and highly unlikely to return.

I like the trees in the park cannot expect that in Karratha. Camp kitchen need to be clean and revamp lack of sink to wash the dishes it stink like an off oil because the sink is in between the bbq. Friendly staff. The timetable of swimming pool area is ridiculous opens at 10am closes at 5pm. Unlike here in Discovery Port Hedland opens at 7: 30am and closes 6: 30pm especially for this hot weather season. Toilets need more toilet paper so disappointed when your using one because you’re busting and there’s no toilet paper in first three toilets in a row.

Only stay here as a last resort. The office staff are poorly trained and rude. The price charged online does not include an apparent undisclosed 25% booking fee if you book in on arrival. The online price was $47 but the price they want to charge in person was $62. They said it was for labour costs!
The washing machines are filthy and in a couple of them the clothes would come out dirtier than they went in.
The showers are hot but rubbish was left in all stalls in the men's and hair all over the floors in the ladies. Dirt is left in corners after cleaning.
At 10: 00 this morning, the office was closed and staff were seen out the back having a smoke.
The dump point is in a rock garden in the parking lot.
Discovery really should pull the franchise, it's just not good enough.
