Discovery Parks - Lake Kununurra reviews
60 Nice place right on the lake. Unfortunately in the approach path.
And the wifi is bad
It was a smallish cabin, clean with a good bed and everything needed for my, all too brief stay.
The staff member I met was very polite and helpful.
Friendly, helpful, staff. You can genuinely tell they take pride in the park and promoting tourism. Gardens were tidy, pool was clean and shady. Amenities were also clean. We also didn't have any issues regarding safety or crime. Park was nice and quiet.
We had a trailer tent pitch for two nights. Facilities were clean and all tidy, the site was quiet after 9pm and so was perfect. We went to the pumphouse down the road for dinner and it failed to impress. The campsite is a good location, worth a stop on a nice bit of water.
Very nice park. Decided to stay an extra day, and it was no problem. Of course, it depends on how busy they are.
Lovely cabin overlooking the lake, quiet, comfy, safe and lots of great amenities. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed, we had a great stay.
Great location and very peaceful, fortunately not many kids around.
However would recommend better cookware and cutlery in the rooms and especially better WiFi. 4G coverage is very poor in the area.
Great location, just out of town on the Lake. Good sized sites, clean amenities, nice pool area. Nice lake frontage for fishing & a good spot to watch the sunsets. Walking distance to the Pump House Cafe.
Nice lakeside cabins. Clean. Helpful staff. Cabins have A/C and are self contained. Laundry facilities elsewhere on premises, costs about 15$ to use washer and dryer, or you can just hang your clothes on the clothesline.
Had powered site. Staff nice. Amenities clean. Loved the bird life around lakes edge. Quite enjoyable.
**** noted on other reviews people have said the same HOWEVER THIS REMAINS UNCHANGED. Toilets are sad.they hose them out VERY SLIPPERY.not clean per sea.just hosed out
NO SOAP IN ANY FEMALE FACILITIES
NO DISHWASH OR PAPERTOWEL OR ALIKE IN CAMP KITCHEN.but does have a microwave and fridge, one has bait in it even tho it's clearly signed.very minimum gets done here for an expensive bit of dirt
Fantastic location. Just finished working there, but would not advise staying there because of Anni the managers attitude. I have witnessed her on many occasions when guests arrive. Been a discovery park member for 6 years you expect to be greeted with gday. On many occasions I have witnessed her saying to the guests what do you want? Then tell the guest we are fully booked even though we have plenty of sites available. Not a pleasant experience. Other staff that I have met say the same thing. She goes through staff like nothing I have ever witnessed because she makes it so uncomfortable. Hopefully in April may when she is finished it will be a great park to stay at unless they give it to the new incompetent assistant managers who know nothing and never run a caravan park before.
Great park and very clean amenities. Annie at reception was so nice and friendly, and contributed to us enjoying our stay there. Had a great level grassy site by the lake, and was treated to the most unforgettable sunset.
Was zooming through from Broome to Darwin. Super clean. Had everything you needed and very comfy beds.
Nice park appears best situated in Kununurra. We had lake side frontage which are the best sites but they do come with a hefty price tag of $65 a night which is the most we paid going Around Australia. Seems WA pricing is much more expensive then the rest of Australia.
Nice park in nice location next to lake. We booked and paid extra for deluxe spa cabin but spa did not work. Told reception when we checked out and was told yea we are waiting for parts. Would be better communication to tell clients when they arrive and maybe off a partial credit.
Could also do with some bbqs around near villa 12 as bbqs near lake are too far away.
Thanks for a wonderful couple of days stay.
Location is amazing, amenities clean and fully serviceable. Wonderful location and heaps of grassed areas and shade.
Had a very nice room. The park is quite. The sunsets by the lake beautiful. The boat tours drop people back to the park. Going to book a room next to the lake on our return to Perth. Thank you
Nice location right on the lake. The first afternoon experience was spoiled by constantly barking and growlng dogs. Can't believe these are allowed here. It got better after that. There was a burger and hotdog truck that came in on the Saturday night, but it was excruciatingly slow. There was a very long line and everyone was ordering burgers for the whole family. They were being cooked 4 at a time on a Forman grill. Gave up and ordered hotdogs, but these were only just warm. The amenities were large and clean. The staff were helpful.
No one was concerned about the fresh water croc that comes to visit, actually he is kinda cute.
The van spaces are tight and the water and power points are not next to each other so lead crosses the entry but not to much of a big deal, the park is nice enough.
