We have been to many BnBs in our lifetime of getaways, can say with hand on my heart, without an inch of a doubt, owner and host Chris at Dingup Historic House is by far truly the best we’ve ever come across! Her partner, Shane and her walked up to us and welcomed us to their beautiful home. Chris is the definition of “truly-lived”. Her love and passion for what she does can be found in every little corner of this beautiful home. The essence of life and love for people is what Chris is all about. She’s lived the real life in fulfilment, learnt so much from her being a governess for kids at stations, raising 5 kids with the best values; Chris is so so easy to talk to and can strike a conversation at ANY topic. Shane was always ready to have a chat and made sure we were okay every time he saw us. Chris’ love for cooking and her spiced up kitchen really fascinated me and enlightened my love for cooking. The accomodation had breakfast included and guess what, Chris cooks it herself for you from her own curated menu using fresh produce from her veggie patch and eggs from her chook pen. Every corner of her home has a story to tell. My husband, also Chris, loved walking around and photographing different parts of the property. We will and are going to come back here, in a heart beat we would!

Love, Chris and Nakita

See you soon for Dal Makhani and Palak Paneer!

It was our first time travelling and staying overnight with our toddler and it was such an easy stay! I'd highly recommend it for a break from your normal routine.

Messages on maps were responded to promptly. Chris and Shane were very friendly. We used their kitchen to wash bottles and prep part of her breakfast meals. There were heaters in the rooms and in the beds too. A cot was provided for our toddler. It was a hard base but we padded it with some blankets and she slept fine.

I loved the breakfast bowl Chris prepared.

The owners are the highlights of this place. Extremely hospitable and they serve tasty breakfast here. A quiet and old house with lots to explore. Enjoyed a night stay here while on the way to Albany. Only issue is no phone signal here. And it would be great if the heater in the room is more powerful, as it can be rather cold during winter.

We loved our stay at Dingup house. It was exactly the vibe we were hoping. Chris and Lady Lola were exceptional and waking up each morning to home made breakfasts was the icing on top. We'll be back for sure

What a wonderful find! A beautiful homestead, lovingly cared for by the welcoming hosts. Each room decorated with warmth and reflecting the host's style.
The breakfast choices were fabulous - I chose the haloumi with salad. Delicious!

I would definitely recommend Dingup House to anyone paying a visit to Manjimup or Pemberton. Cosy rooms, friendly staff, great food and a relaxing atmosphere. Shane and Chris (and Lola) have outdone themselves. What a place!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Dingup House. From the moment we arrived, Shane was incredibly welcoming and helpful, answering all of our questions and offering recommendations for things to do in the area.
The room was immaculate and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The whole property is wonderful, in particular the gardens.
The breakfast spread the next morning was a highlight - the food was delicious and there was such a great variety to choose from. We also loved the outdoor seating areas which are the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink.
Overall, our stay at Dingup House exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely be back in the future and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Definitely one to stay at. The owners are amazing and so welcoming. Rooms are beautiful and well looked after. If you are looking to stay in an old style house then this is the one for it. Sad that i wasnt able to stay for breakfast, but work calls.

Chris is such a lively host! We were a big party of 18 and we literally took over the place. Had a fantastic New Year party in the barn. Chris and Shane were amazing and joined the festivities. Will surely return sooner than later.

We went to spend New Year's eve (30 - 31 Dec 2021) at Dingup. There were 18 of us and we had such a lovely time! Chris is such a good host. Extremely accommodating. So, obliging and ready to do anything to keep us happy. Very comfortable stay. The barn is really awesome. We had our New Year's bash there and there was nothing better we could ask for. Thanks Chris!

I stayed few nights in year 1995 when its still under renovation. I experienced someone talking outside my room at mid night, so scarly.

What horrible service, let us know 2 days before arriving the room was not available anymore? Which sometimes happens, but expected us to pay more money for them to fix their mistake, otherwise we wouldn't get a room. Wondering if they do this often to make more money, as some of the other reviews seem the same. Big yikes!

Thank you Chris for accommodating me with such short notice. The breakfast was amazing along with the homemade feta. The only downside was doing that bloody census form. How dare the government interrupt my getaway) give Lola a pat for me.

They double booked our room, offered us an alternative room but we had to pay $20 extra per person. For their mistake? How rude.
