Dianella Tavern reviews
7If beer and bets in the middle of suburbia are your thing then this the place for you
Really lovely people own/run this cosy little local pub and liquor store. Friendly service and clientele.
Great real Australian local pub. It is small but that helps the great atmosphere, which the locals ensure is felt by all. Great friendly and helpful staff, that informed me they were all like a big family there. I felt it too. Great range of TVs across the bar displaying all the sport you could wish for and I happened to be there for their Jag the Joker night on Wednesday night. You get free raffle tickets with each drink purchased and the lucky number drawn gets to choose a card. There was not a lot of cards left that night and maybe the size of the crowd reflected this, but I am told it is like that every Wednesday night. There was $5,200 on offer this night and if the lucky person turns over the Jack, $520 goes on the bar and they get the rest. So everybody wins. Kerry the owner does the draw and I would love to be there the night the Jack gets turned over.
Cons, no food, no music and no outside drinking area. Although there is an outside smoking area and a bottle shop. Overall, had a ball.
Busy little watering hole. Full of locals when I was there. Lots of games, chase the Ace, Footy tipping etc. Bottle shop at the front.
This was OK as far as local pubs go. Barman tried to convince my husband to stay longer. He didn't win that argument.
Could do with a revamp and clean up
Food is miserable
Beer is beer
Wine has dust on the shelf
Great location though
Please invest in your business
Shame about the neighbors ruining the beer garden. Still a great small pub for a lazy pint.
