Wow! After reading these other reviews it seems I must have caught Trevor on a bad day. I have just this minute got home from attempting to talk to Trevor about sanding and painting my kitchen cabinets. I walked into the office/reception with a sample door which upon viewing was met with an absolute reluctance, almost hostility from Trevor. As if sanding and painting the sample I bought was going to be a hassle even though it's exactly the service the company provides. Having been a builder/renovater for 30+ years I struggle to think of anyone i've dealt with who, as the representatitive of the business, seemed less interested in a job. Having found mostly positive reviews for Trevor and Dianella Polishing online i'm left scratching my head as to what his malfunction was this morning. Regardless i'll take my business elsewhere.

I located this business on the internet whilst searching for a way to retrieve my vinyl wrapped cabinets, which were simultaneously peeling/disintegrating after 11 years of intense usage by 3 growing kids. ALL my cabinets had the same doors though these were customised for our home by the installing cabinet makers. When contacted for advice as to how to manage the peeling/detaching vinyl they initially suggested gluing the layer back! When asked to come see the extent of the deterioration[kitchen[very large with multiple drawers and storage cupboards/cabinets], laundry, 5 bathrooms/toilets and storage cupboards, they suggested replacement with a figure of $40000-$60000 quoted depending on materials chosen. That was clearly NOT a reasonable option.
Within 24 hours of my email query I received a phone call to arrange a site visit-The owner Trevor, turned up punctually in person to assess things and was also bearing a sample door of the end result -MDF that had been painted. I decided I simply wanted the original colour [neutral] that Id chosen and was reassured that the colour could easily be matched. Trevor explained[and demonstrated]how the doors could be detached, explained that a clear record needed to be kept of which doors went where[ie a diagram and each door labelled in pencil on the inside as they were removed]He explained how to remove the vinyl and also the door/drawer etc hardware. With the aid of a local handyman this was achieved in 5 hours and stacked in the garage. Trevor picked them all up on the Monday and said he'd call to ensure I was happy with the colour. Within 48 hours I was told to visit the Wangara paint works and was very pleased to see a sample of the matched colour and the extremely attractive finish. The job was done in 10 days and delivered back to me for reinstallation. I was delighted with the end result but best of all, the very reasonable quote-about one tenth of the cabinetmakers charge for new doors!

The quality of the painted product is exceptional-I think it is far superior to the original vinyl wrap. The friendly, prompt and efficient service was also a very pleasant surprise. I will be recommending this business far and wide-well worth the extra effort of seeking them out and doing the removal/reinstallation yourself. Thanks guys-this means I can spend some of that money on my kids!
