Di Candilo Steel City

I've been buying steel from these boys since the 70's both here and out in Midvale when that was running. You no longer get to meet people in business who understand how important it is for a man to be able to wander around any kind of yard at all. Or around any kind of shop. And that's what I like about this company. You know what you want. You walk in and find it and if you can't, then one of the staff will give you all the help you need. But never does anyone tell you to stand back or to go do your business in the office only and to keep clear of the yard. Everyone who works with steel gets made to feel just as welcome and important as the next whether its only a few kg of scrap they want, or a huge order. I just like the way Di Candilo's do business and I always have and might suggest that a whole lot of Perth businesses should take serious note of how they go about it as well. 5 Stars

The front desk made a mistake with my order but the young fella out the back on the floor fixed in 5 mins. He was super polite and professional. I’ll be back for sure

If you need metal this is a good place to go.
The office team knows their stuff and the workshop team are super helpful!

Edit: Found cheaper! Still a good place but Total Steel flog them on price.
Great place to go for any type of metal project.
The other metal shops like Midalia make you buy whole lengths even if you only want a meter or 2.
They also have a large range AND let you walk in and look at the racks to get the sizes you want. (Steel caps and ear plugs recommended)

I'm a dumb woman and know the difference between a length of flat bar or a length of angle steel.

Had to book a time to pick up because of covid got there nothing ready waited about 10 minutes just to be served and then at the end about $2000 worth of damage to my tradesman rack and didn't even get an apology for the damage

Love this place as I have a love of working with steel. The staff are great and more than helpful in fact whilst awaiting confirmation from them as having in stock what I required I had a great chat to the counter attendant which made my waiting time very pleasant. Cant wait to visit there again.

Having recently started a small fabrication workshop I searched to find a steel supplier. I've tried a few but none of them can match these guys for price and service. I have been dealing with Nev who is always a great guy to speak to and has helped me with many steel orders. Quality of product is fantastic and they have a rapid turn around. I'd recommend trying Di Candilo, you won't regret it.

One of the few places that sell off cuts to the public, staff are very helpful and prices are great.

This is a great place to purchase offcuts and cut to size for hobbyists, staff in the warehouse and the office are all equally helpfull, it is a pleasure to recommend them to anyone who needs steel as I am sure they won't be disappointed.

I am a amateur car restorer and went to candillo to buy the steel for building my car rotisserie. Spoke with waz who was helpful on the quote and they even took me out into the warehouse to check I was purchasing the right steel. Had them deliver it too which went smoothly, chose a day and it was delivered, easy as.price was better than the other quotes I got. Will use them again for sure

Legends, got exactly what I wanted at a fraction of the cost everyone else around Perth wanted. All cut to the size I wanted & not having to buy 6m lengths like other companies said I needed to buy. Champions. Highly recommended these guys

This is a great place for hobbiest/handy person getting offcut steel for home projects. Also provided laser cutting of stainless steel sheet offcut to cover a gap on the bench top that our replacement cook top now sits on.

I have sought stainless, mild steel and aluminium from Di Candillo dozens of times over the years. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful especially John Vaccaro in the recycle section. This place is very professional and reasonably priced.

Easy. Walk in, order at front counter, give paperwork to worker, 5 mins done. Price is ok. All good

These guys are super friendly and helpful. They know their products well and orders are always ready on time and correctly cut.
Dont waste your time being ignored by rude staff who dont give a rats at other steel suppliers in Perth.
