Namaste
Such a wonderful and peaceful monastery to visit, whether you want to listen to some very practical teachings to help you be happier in life, meet some peaceful and kind-hearted nuns, sit in or meditate in the calm energy meditation hall, or walk around the serene Perth Hills grounds. All are welcomed and there's daily talks with reflections to bring positive and encouraging energy, as well as food offerings to the nuns followed by sharing of that food where visitors join in eating the pot luck style pre-noon meal.
Before visiting, you should check the website for the schedule of daily events so you can plan your visit during opening hours as they shut the gates outside of visiting hours. If you time it right you can visit a Kuti or nun's living quarters, join in on the entry into rains retreat and the end of rains retreat i.e. Kathina.
It's a great community and the people are all very willing to help if you ask.
Beautiful place to getaway from city life and work life.
Beautiful driving experience and wonderful place, simple and elegant structures.
Vast and plenty to explore and very clean surroundings. Plenty parking and accessible to all people.
Strictly be mindful as there are nuns meditating and teaching seminars.
The main hall is spacious and central Buddha statue is just wonderful. Loved the floor boards and design of the monastery.
Lovely Theravada Buddhist nuns monastery.
Very good place to meditate and learn Buddhism and dhamma.
Love visiting this Monestery. A world away from my lifestyle. If you need peace, quiet and tranquility this is the place this is the place to be.
A place where you will be inspired by the kindness of people, the beauty of silence and the magic of practice.
Very extensive grounds in a bush setting a lovely place to go and celebrate Buddhism whether you are a Buddhist or not. This temple seems to be mainly run by Vietnamese people but there are Buddhists from southeast Asia countries including Thailand.
Beautiful place, calm and quiet. Gives a feeling of inner peace. Worth visiting if you are interested in meditation and Buddhist practices.
One of the very few Buddhist nun's monasteries, and also the first of its kind set up in Australia, it was started and developed by reverent Bhikkuni Vayama.
