Brunch at De Honey, told by owner from Penang about their satay special. BBQ Honey Chicken with rice taste good, authentic Assam Laksa on Wednesday. I had their nasi lemak last week, it was yum as well. My daughter love the BBQ Honey Chicken, definitely come back again

They are selling packet nasi lemak starting from $4.90. I’ve the chicken Nasi lemak that cost me $5.50.

Based on the picture, there’s a quarter of a hard boiled egg, individual pack of sambal chilli, anchovies with peanuts, and a small mid chicken.

Rice and sambal chillies go well together. Crispy and delicious is anchovies with peanuts. It complements rice well. Their chilli is the highlight of this dish.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. Very authentic satay with the Ketupat and rich peanut sauce. The menu is quite restricted but the taste is authentic Malaysian. The food was fresh and was reasonably priced. Strongly recommended.  If you happen to be in the coventry village definitely worth a stop for a quick bite.

Another quick lunch trip. Service was friendly. I got two kuih from the counter to bring home. I have tried their Kuih before. I dont think they made the kuih at the premises. They were supplied by Ikhwan bakehouse. The Onde Onde or Klepon as some call it and their Kuih bakar are two of my favourites.

For the main dish, we had their nasi lemak bungkus. It was pretty good for the price $4.50. On the salty side but the sambal was nice. We also ordered their Jumbo satay combo of chicken, beef, lamb and tripe x2 each for $28.50. You could smell and taste the charcoal. All the meat have the same seasoning profile. They were on the sweeter side. Some meat like chicken came out sweeter than others. Our favs were beef and lamb. Peanut sauce were generous but a bit runny. Loved the rice cube, red onions and cucumber. Just like how I would do it at home.

3.5 stars. We been wanting to try the popular satay which most being raving about which wasn’t bad, has that char taste. Although pricey for a stick $15.90 with 2 chicken, 2 beef and 1 lamb. But the sauce was runny not like peanut thick sauce. The ketupat not as hot. The nasi bungkus was ok $4.90 but the Ikan bilis bungkus just had Ikan bilis only. Chilli was spicy yummy. Tau fu fa dine in better than takeaway. Dissapointed with the takeaway size. Rather get in nb. Is ok to dine once in awhile. Service is friendly!

Big fan of their Honey BBQ char siu chicken rice which is delicious, well priced and is a good portion size. Their satay and sauce is very good too. Glad to have them in Morley!

I loved their Nasi Lemak; fish and Ikan Bilis, serving is about a small now of rice. $4.9 for a quick lunch.

My favourites meal is the Honey BBQ charsiu chicken, my 3 yrs old who is a fussy eater absolutely smashed this meal by himself.

As for satay sticks, right up there with Kajang satay in Malaysia.

Easiest access is to use entrance with the 6 painted roller door on the side of the building.

Nasi bungkus are pretty good. The chilli is quite spicy which we loved it. Otak otak is pretty average.

Must try their Tau Fu Fa which we loved it. Air Bandang is a nice cold beverage which you can try if you haven't.

As for their satay, my wife loved it but I felt it's slightly underwhelming. Maybe I was expecting a bit too much due to the reviews.

Satay was the best I've tasted in Perth! Juicy, full of flavour with a hint of charcoal that you get when it's cooked legit. Nasi lemak and tofu fa were also yummy and a nice way to round off the meal. Will definitely be going back.

Been wanting to try this place since it opened in Coventry Village. We go to the one at Cambridge Foodcourt when we have the opportunity. Satay is good as is the honey chicken rice we ordered. Sadly they ran out of nasi lemak when we got there but we had a late lunch. Ketupat was not warm and slightly hard, that was our only complaint. However an enjoyable lunch after all and nice cosy atmosphere.

Best satay in Perth, so glad that they’re in Morley now. It’s a bit closer to me! Highly recommend

Its a small place and the location is not the best, but this place will tantalise the taste buds, well its one of the best thanks also to the Indian and Chinese influences. But this is 100% Malaysian tho no Pork and grilled so healthy and tasty. Best satay
