Dalkeith IGA reviews
33 Fruit is fresh and Australian grown.
Purchased Apricot squares in a large tub. They overcharged me when on special.
No wonder they were on special they were horrible, it was like eating an orange sugar cube. I could only taste a hint of Apricot, not actually sure what it was plus the colour was different. I should have known. They went in the bin.
Fruit was great.
Lovely store to work in with amazing management. Theres been so much growth in how the store has been run from a few yrs ago till today and the customers are still letting us know how well Tucker Fresh is doing.
Great customer service especially from the impeccable Alice I love seeing young people giving great customer service keep it up!
The deli meals are a nice and easy cheat way for me to get quality food without the mess! Now that winters here theyve also started making soups and ive now gained another choice for dinner.
A big shout out to Rachel who delivered some Easter eggs for me as a last minute gift
Can’t speak highly enough of her service.
Absolutely horrible, sorry not sorry the manager 2 years ago belittled me … made me feel like a peasant
We are putting it out there for those people putting in terrible reviews from local nearby IGA’s to try and make this store look bad you have been caught out and reported back by customers
Our recommendation is to stop as this store has fresher and way cheaper deli and fruit and veg and their grocery is a whole lot cheaper than all the local IGA’s in that area
Thankyou to all the loyal shoppers, supporting the Dalkeith IGA and making us aware of what is happening
I just wanted something satisfying for a late lunch and wanted to know what was close by. When I saw this mixed bunch of reviews I thought I'll have to see this for myself.
So, some say the prices are high. I'd say they're on a par with late opening grocers. The muesli price was opportunistic perhaps, but otherwise there was something for everyone. The cheese and ham I bought was certainly cheap enough, but good quality.
The shop reminded me of grocers from years ago so no, the shelves are not constantly full in Woolworths style. The place is well swept and clean, with a nice variety of goods and a few things you can't find in the bigger shops.
All in all I'd say it's sensibly stocked and well run.
I visited this shop on a Sunday 2nd Feb 2020 morning to buy few things for a community activity.
I was amazed at the helpful attitude and excellent service with a smile. Whether it was the sales person or the manager on duty, they made me feel very welcoming customer. They took my groceries to the car park. Also I was offered a cup of coffee.
Food quality was fresh. Prices were acceptable. Service was far beyond my expectation.
Keep it up folks. Strongly recommended.
Although this store is quite small, they have everything I need, the staff are always friendly and smiling
Things are improving right after the change of management. Well at least the daily needed stuff are at reasonable community price and all stuff are fresh. Gd job
Easily the worst iga I’ve ever been to in my life. My dog could manage and give more of a sh! T than what the current owners/operators seem too. Unhygienic and poorly managed by inexperienced, clueless and careless foreigners
Had a much better experience when compared to previous, The manager is friendly and loved the ambiance.
Good for all types of daily needs. Fresh vegetables and fruits are available with affordable prices.
This IGA is my go to for groceries. The staff are super friendly and happy to always help out. I love the deli food as well. All freshly baked food that is great to have for lunch.
Such a great IGA, huge range of things you can pick up and particularly great for picking a lunch up during work, their self service area is awesome, wish they had more IGA's just like this one.
Much better after the change of manager. Daily essentials are available at affordable price and all the products are fresh.
Manager was very helpful when went last weekend. Though am not local great to have iga amongst the cafes and other businesses to get some shopping done.
I bought a muffin for my breakfast and I had a terrible stomach ache after that for whole day. I vomited and felt sick and couldn’t have anything after that. I don’t know how many days was that old? ! It tasted quite aged and i had to eat it cause i was hungry but i got really unwell with lots of bloating and tummy ache all day.
Under new owners it seems and nicely done up but, beware of the Manager a stocky man who seems to only want rich dalkeith monied folk buying his grocery's & stuff. Because almost as soon as I entered the shop on this day he after having giving me a fairly suspicious very unfriendly 'once over' like he thought I was casing the place. He then took it upon himself to follow me about. Making me feel decidedly unwelcome. I appraised some of his watermelon would have liked to have bought some but decided best to put it back on shelf & go buy elsewhere. Bossman really creeped me out, potentially very nasty individual. If he only wants WASP 'richie-rich' McMansion owning snobs in his shop he can have em!
