Dale Medical Centre reviews
44 I know Dr. Jay for the last 11 years. She's are family GP. Happy with the provided service especially the way of talking to the patient.
Wish all good luck this medical centre.
Only recently transferred to this surgery. I am very happy with my decision.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and the Dr Janaki is friendly, caring and professional. And explains things so you understand.
Lady at Reception very good service and doctor janaki very helpful and answer all your questions.
Doctors are professional, yet also friendly and approachable. They're really take a holistic approach and make you feel as if you are family/community member r not just another number to pass in and out.
Reception staff are always a pleasure to speak to and go above and beyond to accomodate where they can.
A very experience and knowledgeable doctor. I brought in my daughter today for an appointment and she carried out a very thorough assessment. I am very impressed with her wealth of experience. The receptionist was a very gentle kind person and he was proactive in helping me with the faxing of the paperwork referral. Great experience
Friendly service from reception and finally a fantastic knowledgeable and patient Dr who went well above what I’ve been use to from other drs. Very grateful to finally have found a GP I can trust.
Had similar experiences to other patients.
•Repeatedly ignoring my health concerns and not making a record of health issues raised at appointments
•Failing to pass on information to other health professionals when referred on for further tests
•Lack of feedback on my health issues, failing to disclose information and rushing through results
•Allowing me to book double appointments then pushing me out the door within 5 minutes and telling me to book in again
• Reception man being rude and disrespectful to patients, and Doctor yelling at me when I raised concerns about lack of professionalism
So far, so good. As long as you don’t need your appointment with your GP today… Remember, doctors can’t backdate medical certificates for your workplace. But as far as professionalism and caring go, they’re top notch.
Excellent GP, and better than Haynes Medical Centre by a country mile. I don’t care that they have mixed billing - I’d still much rather come here lol. I don’t know how these clinics are associated as they’re completely different. All the staff here, from the receptionists to the doctors and nurses are friendly and extremely nice (unlike at Haynes where almost everyone is obnoxious and ignorant). Plus at Dale Medical Centre, they really know their stuff!) You can always count on the doctors at Dale to give the best medical advice. Worth it to book here instead!
This practice us both professional and friendly. Well located with plenty of parking. Appointments run to time.
Not good, trying to update my daughters asthma plan and on three occasions I was told the doctor will call me when it is ready. Yeah no calls or emails. Not very professional. Moved on to another medical centre now.
I had a great experience using their services.
They have a good booking system and very efficient customer services.
Dr Shanil is, by far, the best GP I've had a consultation with in Australia in the last 12 years.
I highly recommend Dale Medical Centre.
Brilliant Service. The Medical Reception is always kind and welcoming. Dr. Sathiapal is exceptionally good.
Sat waiting for 50 minutes which normally would not mind but reception advised he wasn’t with anyone and should be right with me - 50 minutes later. If the doctor needs time to catch up then book out the time and not have people waiting for that long.
Every time I rang or the time that I went to the practice, all the staff were friendly and polite. The doctor that we saw was also very polite and had a caring manner. After we have been to many practices in Armadale, I would safely say that Dale Medicial is the best one so far.
Went to the dale medical centre on 16 6 met a lady doctor this lady was switch on she was right on to my ptoblem its great to be with a doctor who knows what she is talking about i have another doctor in byford the same
I visited Dale medical centre and their service was outstanding. Doctor was not in rush and listened to me. She gave me full attention. It was very satisfying visit ️
Excellent feel about this place.
Good to see reception guys that give a very friendly service.
Got an appointment through Haynes Medical centre for the Dale Centre all so very helpful (other centres I tried hadn't an appointment for a week or more).
I am new to the area and would recommend the thorough consultation with the Doctor that I saw there.
A big thankyou to all
Dr day an staff are amazing nurse are great even the bloke behind the counter, for a caring doc highly recommend this place
My family had a distressing experience at Dale Medical Centre at a time of need. I want to warn others to approach this practice with care. I do not believe they are respectful to families nor do they seem to treat patients, children & families with dignity.
I submitted a query directly to the centre prior to posting this review. This was acknowledged over 3 weeks ago. I sent a follow up email asking for a time frame within which I could expect a response to my query. This wasn't responded to. I have hence posted this review.
The website states "We treat all our patients as family with careful consideration & respect, offering the utmost in comprehensive care. "
This was not my family's experience when we needed respect to be shown to our lives and experiences.
The site also states "GPs at Dale Medical Centre have obtained special training on Mental Health, to be able to help their patients with depression, anxiety & related disorders. Speak with your GP about a Mental Health Treatment Plan or about referrals during your next visit"
This was directly counter to what my family experienced. I visited the centre with my teenage child who is Queer and has Learning Disabilities. These things are automatic clues that their mental health should be considered carefully and respectfully. This is known by my family and we endeavour to show respect to my child. My child also has a family history of other Learning Disabilities. This is what the appointment was for.
We wished to obtain a referral for a developmental assessment after my child demonstrating certain struggles. The GP acted hostile about this request for a referral. Their first words were "Who told you this? " regarding our concerns for our child. This was immediately disrespectful. It implied we weren't capable of asking for something from our own observations, family history or family knowledge. The implication was that we had been fed information & were ignorant about what we were discussing and requesting.
The GP demanded that I prove how my child displayed certain behaviours. They began to read symptoms from an Internet checklist. The GP did not seem trained in this area to my observation.
I expressed politely that I didn't want to invade my child's privacy by speaking about them in this manner, and that the developmental assessment would be invasive also. I expressed that there were other ways we could talk about it that didn't invade my child's privacy. There were other ways we could work toward obtaining a referral with the GP. The GP stated that they had to agree that my child had a disorder before agreeing to provide a referral. This isn't true.
The GP seemed to believe that my family was acting above themselves in wanting to show respect to our child.
The GP refused to provide a mental health referral for this service. My child requires this assessment. We feel that we have no choice but to proceed with this assessment for the wellbeing of our child. Because of the refusal to provide a referral under a Mental Health Care Plan, warranted due to my child's other Mental Health risk factors alongside family history of Learning Disabilities; my family cannot receive any Medicare Rebate for this needed assessment.
I sent an email asking for an explanation about the refusal to provide a referral. I didn't receive an explanation or response to a further follow-up email, so have left this review in the hope that other families can avoid the distress of undignified, disrespectful, and upsetting treatment as occurred to us.
I have allowed adequate time for resolution and any apology to be received. I have politely and in detailed fashion, put forward the issues that have occurred and regardless there is no resolution provided by the practice. At the time of my appointment where a referral was refused, I also provided polite and detailed communication. This did not prevent the disrespectful way we were treated.
I don't recommend this practice. I suggest it is damaging to attend this practice for Mental Health reasons.
