Extremely Rude old man who works/owns the store! Was excited to visit this store but left feeling really awful after the horrible way he spoke to me. Will be spending my money else where!

Purchased a couple of hard to get albums from Dada and the process was very easy with quick postage to Victoria and really well packed. Will definitely use Dada again

My favourite haunt and the best record store in Perth! Wide, eclectic selection of genres in all formats, vinyl cds, even cassettes. Great range of alternative and hard to find gems, if it's not in stock the super friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to order in even the most obscure niche based items. I have been shopping here since 1994, and I've always been satisfied as a record collector and afficcionado! Also being musically open minded means I can find everything I love under the one roof.
All the staff here are tops and have a genuine passion in music, and will take all enquiries seriously. Highly recommend checking out this great little indi record store! Thanks to Rob, Chris, Chad Will and Howard for going beyond the call of duty, especially for eccentric groove diggers such as myself!

Not essential. This pmace has seen better days. Generally good selection and competitive pricing. Next to nothing in terms of used. You do get the "record store experience' though: Musty air, grumpy store clerk, records and stuff lined up on the floor that you've got to navigate around.

I’ve been going to this marvellous place for a few years now (mostly with a friend) and it has grown to be one of my most fave places in Perth. Great range of CDs (though some titles I’m after are missing, that’s ok), so much to explore, and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. In my perspective no trip to the city would ever be complete without a trip to Dada for sure.

Bought these two fantastic records. This store has a great collection. I was lucky to find an elvis record from the ones which were stored on the floor and not tagged as a part of the units on sale. The owner refrained me from scanning these though since those were not tagged and not ready to be put up on the display racks
But he was kind enough to sell me on of the elvis record from that set.

Amazing stock levels and categories of Vinyls street level and another world downstairs of CDs and hip Hop Vinyl. Spent hours here. Knowledgable staff as well.

There are some hidden gems there but that is the problem very untidy to get around some of the displays of great records new, wouldn't bother for 2nd hand lot better places around and have been going there many years nothing seems to change

First time going, the store has a wide range of music, sadly not much on metal but got 2 queen vinyls for 70, which is a lot cheaper than going to jbhifi

Very underwhelmed by their collection of genre specific collections in vinyl. Shop keeper in the record area didn’t appear to know much about music or the albums they offered. The music playing however was spot on. When asked what music was playing was told “I have no idea, it’s coming from down stairs. ” A bit of a disappointing experience.

The front window was dressed in the 80s by Stevie wonder. Some of the homeless in all the doors steps close by have mad more of an effort. Even the rats have packed their bags.like the band The Specials said -Do you remember the good old days before the ghost town?
We danced and sang, and the music played in a de boomtown

Does not have the stock levels of yesteryear but still love to visit DaDa as it is one of my favourite record stores anywhere.

Massive sentimental value as I have been coming here since I was 14. In those days it was spread over 3 floors and I spent more time then money at DaDa records.

An excellent range of stock. Though I would like to see the 2nd hand vinyl stock strengthen I still regard DaDa records as one my favourite places in Perth and always look forward to visiting.

Great shop with fantastic stock of records, CD's. Also sold t-shirts Has a downstairs section which gives huge floorspace. My son had a hard time deciding which records he wanted to buy there was so much choice. Looked to be a busy store too. Noticed it's been there 50 + years so they are doing everything right obviously. Check them out I don't think you will be disappointed.

Excellent staff, Manage to find the CDs I was looking for at reasonable prices and the place felt cluttered, but intentionally to add to the experience of it

Incredibly poor/rude customer service. Head to a store that deserves your patronage. Midland Records, Junction, Mills, Diabolik or Urban Records.

A good range of albums and EP's etc, and for reasonable prices. However we were glared at, hovered over and spoken to very rudely by the man at the counter while browsing. Many Vinyls were placed in piles around the floor that weren't marked in any way but we were nastily told we "can't touch those ones" as if we were to know. One album we purchased was incorrectly priced and the customer serviceman was almost accusatory at us for this mix up, we paid the full price regardless with no fuss and took it home, only to find that it was warped and unplayable.

This place is amazing. You have a great selection upstairs and then you go downstairs ands its even greater. Great hip hop vinyls and cds too.
