We camped here a few months ago as part of a longer visit to the Dampier Peninsula. We enjoyed our stay. The land itself is beautiful and a good base for visiting Ardyaloon and elsewhere on the peninsula. Erin's Discovery Tour was informative and interesting, and our kids loved finding a pearl. Consider supplementing the Discovery Tour with Terry Hunter's history and culture tour, and the intro to the Art of Riji. We felt that doing all three tours together provided a variety of perspectives into the different and intersecting histories of Broome and the Dampier Peninsula, along with the place of First Nations people in the history of pearling and in the region. Thanks for the great tours.

Staffing was low and inadequate. Had to manage our own stay and ask for everything we needed or wanted, which sounds normal, but it felt like no-one was available to give us information about anything. One particular staff member was a bit rude and condescending. Shell Island trip was the only redeeming aspect of our little holiday. You feel like you have to fend for yourself at this farm stay. They don’t offer keys to your accommodation either, to keep your things secure. They say you need to keep valuables in your car! Disappointing

Most amazing place. Staff are amazing and thought of everything to make our stay superb.

Accommodation was so well thought out and luxurious. Pool and air-conditioning was lovely to relax in after the fantastic tours on and off the water.

This place is amazing for every type of traveler. Waking up to the sound of birds singing and seeing beautiful scenery right from your bed.

Well worth the drive. Definitely will be back.
Thanks to all the wonderful staff.

Raw, rustic, and isolated Cygnet Bay Pearl farm is a unique getaway. There is not a lot to do on land, apart from viewing how the pearl farm works, all the action is on the sea, with some amazing sea trips around the islands, and if you time it right, you can witness the king tides, whirlpools and waterfalls, Our guide was a local who knew the history, culture and nature of the area - it was a fascinating couple of hours on the water. It's definitely worth a visit if you have time on your hands!

I cannot speak highly enough of Cygnet Bay, and in particular of its staff. We recently booked the Master Pearlers Retreat for our family and friends to celebrate our wedding and we had the most incredible weekend. The house is just the perfect private getaway - large open communal area, comfortable bedrooms and the views and private beach are unbeatable. Hayley and the team at Cygnet Bay also went absolutely above and beyond for us throughout the weekend. Special mention to the chef and restaurant team for the delicious canapés, salad and meals the night before our wedding. All of our guests raved about what an experience they had. We have also previously stayed in the new Pearlers Village Safari Tents and had a wonderful time. We can’t wait to come back in the years to come. Thank you so much!

Great spot to park the van (unpowered area) and spend a few days between the lovely pool, fun mudflats full of life for the kids, and a well equipped camp kitchen. The toilets & showers could use a refresh though.

On the negative side, we pondered a lot about doing a Waterfall Reef tour given the high price point for a family of 4. I asked if it was just a case of going, seeing, returning and was assured that no, there was a tour of archipelago islands and we would spot some wildlife. Convinced by the raving comments online about how good the tour and guides were, we decided to spend our limited budget on this.

I am utterly disappointed we forked out $730 for us to literally go on a boat, drive to the reef (already above water), spend a few minutes looking at it then head back.

I had high hopes about insightful commentary from the guide, although should have been concerned when he announced he would "keep quiet to let us enjoy". We had to coax comments out of him with questions. Being in the area with the 2nd highest tides in the world, one would hope that the guide can answer something beyond "well according to Google" when asked about the reason for this phenomenon. I can Google things myself, thanks. No insight, no stories about the history of the area, nothing about the pearl farm itself. Basically we had a boat driver, not a guide.

What a joke. I was this close to asking for my money back. The value for money compared to other tours is ridiculously bad.

Want to improve?
- Train your guides properly, not seasonal passers-by with no clue about the area. If you can't find a boat driver who knows the area, surely you could put a driver AND a guide on the boat!
- Consider small value-added like coffee & muffins when heading out at 6am, and/or morning tea upon returning. Doesn't cost much but would improve the tail ends of the experience.
- Offer better family deals and/or discounts for people already staying in the campground

It was frustrating to end an otherwise lovely stay with the feeling of having been ripped off with that tour.

Last week, my husband and I had the sheer privilege of visiting Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, and it was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of nature, the village safari tents we stayed in offered a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. Every morning we woke up to the serene beauty of the bay, and every night, we were lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of nature.

But it wasn’t just the accommodations that impressed us. The meals served daily were culinary masterpieces, each dish telling a story of local flavors and traditions.

The journey into the rich history and intricate workings of the pearl farm was eye-opening. To think of the hard work, passion, and dedication that goes into each pearl was truly humbling. The hands-on pearl grading experience was the cherry on top, allowing us a unique insight into the art and science of pearl cultivation.

Our day trip to the Horizontal Falls is an experience etched in our memories forever. The raw power and majesty of nature at play were awe-inspiring. I would say it's an absolute must for anyone visiting the area.

As for the ‘Staircase to the Moon’ - it was pure poetry! A celestial ballet of light and shadows that left us spellbound.

In essence, our time at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm was a tapestry of unforgettable moments, stitched together by the warmth and hospitality of the staff, the captivating history, and the sheer beauty of the surroundings. It's not just a visit; it's an experience. Highly recommended!
Thank you Geneane

We booked our stay through the amazing Stephen @ the Cygnet Bay Pearl showroom in Broome.

Stephen was so helpful booking our accommodation, tours and giving us advice on what to do/see while at the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm.

We had a powered caravan site at Divers Creek. It was very quiet and the spaces are large with bush in between each bay.

There were showers n toilets which were cleaned every morning.

We had a lovely meal at the restaurant. We also did the Waterfall reef tour and the coast to creek tour. Highly recommend both.

We didnt do the pearl farm tour this time as we visited the pearl farm back in 2017.

The staff at the showroom in Broome (especially Stephen) and the staff at the farm were all so friendly and helpful.

We will definitely be back if we ever get over this way again.

Thank you to all for such an enjoyable stay at the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm

My partner and I are already telling everyone we meet, who are headed that way, that Cygnet Bay Pearl farm is a MUST DO!

We stayed 2 nights at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm in a Pearlers Village Safari Tent. The Room/Tent was very comfortable and provided a level of luxury but with a camping feel to it. We self catered in the camp kitchen one night, which was OK, but could have more cutlery and crockery and would have provided more options if it had a BBQ. We ate at the restaurant the other night and each day for breakfast. The restaurant meals were great, with a lot of variety, although no vego options. The highlight was the 3 tours we did. The Waterfall Reef tour was extraordinary and our boat driver, Alan, was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Our Secret Beach Sunset trip (where Alan was also our boat driver) was also a lot of fun. The whole experience was made all the more enjoyable by the extremely friendly and efficient staff. Everyone from the restaurant staff, to the room service staff to the front desk staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. We will be coming back here!

This was a good tour as part of our Horizontal waterfall excursion from Broome. The guide was excellent and explained all about the farming process and growing the oysters and pearls.

We came here and stayed in a glamping tent overnight to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was beautiful and we ate in the restaurant for each meal. Absolutely delicious food and gorgeous staff. So friendly and made us feel very welcome. I wanted to swim in their beautiful pool but it was freezing. We did the pearl grading and the farming course as well. It was so interesting. I can highly recommend this to everyone.

At Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm on the eastern side of the Peninsula, you can camp or stay in safari tents and cabins. Enjoy the restaurant and pool facilities, and join tours of the working pearl farm, as well as cultural and sea safari tours.

Dissapointing. Not the accommodation But the Restaurant.
I thought it would be a nice drive to make our way to your location for a nice lunch have a swim and just relax. As I've done this before and very much enjoyed it.

Last Sunday we arrived at 12pm found a nice spot to enjoy our lunch and great view.
I was a little dissapointed with the menu and it was pretty simple.
Oh well.make the most of it. On ordering it was explained that there will no chips available as no stock but will be replaced with rice. Ok it is what it is. We ordered grilled Barramundi 37 dollars each. When delivered it looked pretty ordinary with a bit of salad and plain rice with reasonable piece of fish. However as I started to eat, my friend asked me is yours cooked? As I was trying to cut into mine found my piece was RAW. The meals were sent back only to return with the fish looking more cooked back on our old plates with no attempt to to make it appear to be a fresh meal. I requested the staff to take it back and do it better. They returned with two more meals, with a much smaller piece of as before. I said to the staff are you serious, the response was a shrug. Take it back I'm not interested anymore, give me a refund. Which they did, we returned to Broome, purchased Subways as we were starving. 5 hours we will not get back.

A picture-perfect part of the world. One word of advice is to book meals and tours as you book, it's too late when you get here. We would have loved to have a meal but was booked out each lunch and night. The tours we thought we'd like to do were the same, all completely booked out. They were having staffing shortages, so we understood, but.
Stayed in the caravan park closer to the main facility. Still off grid. New camp kitchen wasn't operational yet, but showers and toilets were good.

Our stay at the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm was rewarded with friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. We stayed in a Safari tent that felt remote, yet attached to a caring community of people, staff and guests.
A paradise for nature-lovers with a lust for a natural experience.
We will return. Thank you.

We camped on an unpowered site for a few days and had a great time. Lots to do including some tours. A welcome swimming pool particularly in top 30 temperatures and a good restaurant. Happy hour too.

Wonderful day out here at Cygnet Bay. We ate delicious meals, the view was incredible from the pool. The kids played on the playground and the friendly Shay minded our dog, Casper while we went on the tour. Highly recommend
