Great mechanic very reliable, friendly and helpful. Also won't charge you more than is needed.

Never again. Took car for roadworthy inspection. Came back with a huge list, some of which I informed the business owner (Jason) of before he encouraged me to bring my car straight there.

Of course it failed.

If I had known this beforehand, I would have rectified the known faults first.

(I just wanted a list, not a formal DOT test)

He then informed me that the second inspection was another $60 or so. He checked over the car and invented problems that didn't exist. Made out that one inspection diagnosis was part of the inspection, but then charged $88 extra.
Poor form, poor service. Never again thanks.

Awesome service! I bought my new car from a car dealer and I did immediately the check up by Jason who noticed a lot of issues. He called himself the car dealer to find a arrangement. After a negative answer he called the customer affairs government for me and thanks to him I found an agreement. He doesn't give up until your car is perfect and you are satisfied. Honest and good price! I definitely recommend!

I've recently had to relicence an AU falcon ute I'd purchased, I took it to Crypton Auto's who had unfortunately ceased part of the business of vehicle inspections and licencing, but did point me to the nearest Licencing agent, as I was there, and the proprietor was very courteous & professional, anyway I asked whether he could give it a once over look and give me a list of what work I would have to undertake to get the vehicle over the pits (licence inspection), of course I expected a fee.he did an unofficial inspection and gave me a list of faults some semi serious eg.power steering rack boots, but mostly aesthetics like droopy hood lining for example he changed out faulty park lamps (which I would never even consider looking for) cut a long story short after I fixed these problems and took the vehicle to Kosteras in Kalamunda the vehicle passed with ease and surprisingly Cryptons only charged 1/2 hours labour, as I was expectations of at least 2 hours minimum! Overall I would recommend Crypton Autos to anyone!

Don't go there unless you want to be ripped off! Terrible experience, wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. They changed my coil pack for no reason, only for the new one to fail a month later. They charged me the price that a genuine part costs but had put a cheap replica in. Not only that but they wouldn't replace it. Prior to that it took me 6 weeks to get my car back from them because they were waiting on 'parts'.

I recently asked Crypton Auto's to conduct an auto Inspection as they are a licensed government agent.
The car, a 1969 jag was failed for a few oil leaks and some worn rubber bushes. Fair enough. I asked them to wash and degrease the underside so that the source of the oil leaks could be found. I paid for the test and the wash and at their suggestion took the car down the road to a Jag mechanic who attended to the faults.
When I returned to Crypton for a re-test, I was told that the car was filthy underneath, so I pointed out that I had paid them to clean it! They blamed the jag mechanic for making it dirty, but I has seen what a poor job they had done when the car was up on the hoist in the first place. In fact it actually wasn't that bad, the only thing that was bad was the owner's attitude.
I will not be using them in the future, that is for sure.
