Content Living

We are currently building our first home with Content Living and I cannot say one bad word about them! Right from the start our consultant Nick Dalili was fantastic, he was so patient with us when choosing designs, blocks etc and is always available if we need any help. The liaison team always update us with how the build is going but it’s so nice to drive by and see how quick it is all progressing! So glad we chose to build with Content, thanks guys!

After looking an established home we made the mind to build our own home. After receiving good reviews from the previous costumers of content living we chose the same company.
Mark Broomhead from content living was our consultant he was very professional and was able to design the home as per our requirements. We are really happy with our choice untill now

As Content living completed brick work and roof frame work, we organised private building inspector.

Our building inspector found more than 30 BAC non-compliance, major and minor issues.

3 weeks ago, we requested content living to fix these issue and the liaison officer said it would take 1-3 weeks, however they haven't fixed yet.

We also found some nails in the roof frame were out to our head as per the photo attached and we asked content living to fix this problem to prevent any worse situation, however the nails are still there.

Feng from Content Living has been extremely helpful for my unique block layout and views, presenting designs from day 1 and being more than happy to work on the many changes we proposed, and perfectly adjusted everything to suit our ideas and vision.

Feng was more than happy to redraw and mark-up designs in front of us to confirm everything met our expectations, lined up, worked well, and was cost effective.
This included repositioning and redesigning the kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, garage and storage, and energy rating compliance, to design the best possible modern first home for my requirements and to suit the unique block with views.

Other builders were telling me that this would simply be my first home that I'd get my grants from then move on to another build quickly, but with a unique block that has views this was not what I wanted to do.
Feng and the Content Living team were more than happy to design and architect a long-term home that worked for me, while still being eligible for the first home build grants.

We worked with Robbie Wright during the process of trying to create the right floor plan for our oddly shaped block. In the end we have chosen to go with another builder but the time and effort Robbie put in with us deserves a good honest review. He is super helpful, doesn’t force or pressure a result but is there to make sure you are entirely happy with the big decision. Feng is prompt design solutions, with calls and responds promptly and nothing seems to hard with all the changes we had made, communicates everything to detail, listens to what the client wants and if it is not possible Feng is up front or comes up with a solutions that works.

PAY MORE MONEY FOR A QUALITY BUILDER. Very Poor workmanship and trades used and the end product is a very poor quality home. I built a home with them in 2011 and had a shocking experience, made me not want to ever built again. They wore me down and i just stopped asking them to fix issues after it was built as i couldn't keep staying home from work to let them continually come to fix problems. In the end i just had to live with it. I have since sold that home and have just purchased an established home that was unfortunately built by content in 2012 and the exact same poor quality issues exist in this home too. (sagging roof, cracking bathroom tiles, bad plaster work, uneven walls, twisted sliding door frames, and the list goes on. Big shame they don't have a good quality control with their home builds.

The integration of design and sales bundling is definitely a great idea.when I first met "Feng" and I was impressed by her swift ability to transform my nascent ideas into detailed structural diagrams with professional insights. Her expertise and professionalism solidified my decision to select her as my designer. "Feng" patiently listens to my feedback every time and always proposing well-founded modifications. Rob provided unwavering support throughout the entire process (Though I am based in Sydney but because of Rob I never have to worry about anything). From material selection to colour schemes and spatial arrangements, he left no stone unturned in providing his help remotely to me.

Do yourself a favour and don't sign up with anything SSB (Content, Momu, Dreamstart). They are the worst and turned our build into a nightmare atm. Lies after lies, waiting for months without any progress. Stay away from them for your sanity and mental health. I'll change the review if they get their act together.

We had lovely experience building our new home thru Content Living. Both Pre-Start and liaison we had wonderful service they always kept us updated.

Building with content living and it has been a slow frustrating process. They take up customers promising so much! We signed up in august 2021 and the sales representative said we will be in our house by Christmas 2022 and we don’t even have a roof on at the moment. They gaslight their customers and don’t take us seriously. I have seen very different experiences from customers tho. Some get fast tracked and have good experiences with them while others just get pushed back in the queue. It’s very unfair and not sure how they choose who gets trades and materials. As much as it’s area dependent I do think 3-5 month discrepancies are ridiculous. Someone who got a slab in July 2022 has a roof on while we had slab down in May 2022 and our roof cover (colourbond) hasn’t even been ordered. They also kept us in scheduling for 15 weeks before site works which was ridiculous.

We met originally with Mark Broomhead and he started what has been an awesome journey. He bought our dream home design to life, no amount of changes was too many and he worked with us to get it perfect for us. From here on out we have dealt with Shannon and Jacob who have always kept us up to date, under promised and over delivered at every stage and we are looking to soon be completed.

Really happy we chose to build with Content living and would choose them again.

Even with the building boom where materials and trades are hard to get and delays are evident Content Living worked closely with us during our build with them to keep us informed on progress, our liaison officer was excellent.

At no time did we feel that our house build wasn't important or suffered any bad workmanship, they maintained the quality that they said they would and when issues were identified they made every effort to get it resolved and to achieve a positive outcome for us.

We have now moved in and really enjoying it, Content Living provided as a great information package on our new home and advised to keep any notes of items of concern so that if required they can assess and resolve it so the supports still there.

My wife and I wouldn't hesitate to build again with Content Living.

We recently had a ceiling collapse in our living room, cause unknown. (no rain ingress) When we contacted our insurance company they came immediately to secure the room and make it safe wich was fantastic! Upon an assessor review though, they concluded that the collapse was due to age, wear and tear therefore not covered by our home insurance.we contacted Content to enquire about their lifetime structural warranty as the original owner is still living in the home and were told that ceilings are not covered under this warranty as they are not considered "structural" unlike walls, roof and concrete wich are structural and the house was built over 17 years ago.
A company employee was sent to assess the damage anyway and after a good look at what had happened he whent back to their office to report on the damage. After a few days of not hearing from them we had started to lose hope and where extremely pleasantly surprised when they told as that since the original owner was still in the home, they would as a gesture of goodwill fix the damaged ceiling at their expense and we would take on the ceiling painting ourselves.
We just want to reiterate how fantastic their help was in this situation and we would happily recommend them to anyone that is thinking of building a house. The trades people were great and Content living is a company with great integrity.

Poor workmanship! Tiles falling off the wall, roof ceiling had to be replaced twice because of the loose and cracked tiles on the roof which I had to pay for. Major cracks in the cement flooring which they refused to patch up. It's always someone else's fault. No responsibility taken. House is only 6 years old. Avoid these people if you can.

We loved building with Content Living; the process from start to finish was enjoyable, and we appreciated the care and detail that our designer took in bringing our vision to life. We especially loved the 3D walkthrough that Content provides during the design process.

Communication was good throughout, and items which needed adjusting were done so efficiently.

The quality of the build itself was very high; we had a very competent site supervisor who ensured that the trades on site were up to standard and that incomplete items and poorly installed items were corrected.

Delays due to COVID were inevitable, however Content were open with communication the whole time and still seemed to get the build finished quicker and to a higher standard than many other projects going up in our estate.

Highly recommend content living if you are looking to build! Amazing designs to choose from and our consultant Joe Gugliotta was super helpful and made our build journey really smooth. He helped us accurately put our ideas on paper, answered all our questions and always reassured us that we were in good hands. Liason Team also done incredible job Holly was quick to respond to our Queries. Can't recommend this company enough!

We used content living to build our dream home and from start to finish and it is beyond amazing we can not fault content at all. Taylor was absolutely amazing to deal with nothing was to big or small and very responsive to all my emails.
