Commodore Chinese Restaurant & Takeaway

Made my son and I very sick the day after, and we both threw up in the morning after our dinner there.

Amazing and delicious food and the ice cream was the best finisher; food for the soul! The special fried rice couldn’t recommend it enough. Enjoy

Great sized portions at an affordable price. Professional service. Always prompt with food. My favourite is the Beef Satay.

The food at this place is great. Unfortunately Menu Log lets this place down really badly. Not like we can drive down the road so rely on delivery. Cant use a place that does not deliver. Waited 45 minutes for a 7 minute delivery. Sorry Commodore you have lost a customer due to Menu Log.

The food has always been good and tasty and the service I have received has always had a smile behind it.

We have been buying since 1980 when they opened up. Now it's changed hands and the food is VERY OVERPRICED and nothing like it used to be. So expensive, $20 a dish for VERY AVERAGE food. Rubbish. Don't bother! Buy a pizza.
I have just read other reviews and they are consistent with my review. Lift your game as we will NEVER buy again. If there was a ZERO rating I would have given it ZERO not one star.

Will never dine here again.extremely upset with their poor servicr. We dine in with our friends few weeks ago and we ordered chips but it was served to next table of moee tgan 10 minutes and they have started eating it and the lady who served it took it away from them and instead served the same chips to us whih is so diagusting and I told them i am not happy for what they did. I end of cancelling the order and did not even offered any apology from the gil who served it. I was so embarrassed with our guest as I told them that commodore restaurant is a goid restaurant and served good food.unfortunately they have changed ownership according to one of the staff. That is probably the reason why apart from their food is not as goid as it was before.the service is extremely poor.

Very tasty food, would definitely recommend! My favourite are the Singapore Noodles and Laksa dishes! Amazing

I'd heard such great reviews about the honey chicken so bought it & I was so disappointed. Firstly the honey came in a separate container to the chicken which I've never received like that before from any other restaurant & the honey was so watered down. It wasn't think, so bland & watery. Never again.

Long wait for food, not friendly to children. Had banquet for 16, good food but very rushed to get us to leave. Probably won't go back again.

Also asked to have remaineder of a full plate of fried rice put into take away container it's almost quarter as much that was left.

I would give 4 stars for the food but only 1 for the service. The lady was quite a bit rude while taking the take-away order, even after telling them so many times that one particular dish was to be without egg, they made it with the egg. And they packed one of the dishes in a plastic container with broken lid, we had to keep checking for broken plastic pieces everytime we took a serve.

Use to really love this place but has changed completely.
Prices at the front counter (takeaway) aren't the same for dine in, it's about a $5-6 difference.
Got a massive plate of fried rice that cost $15!
Asked for the rest to be put in a takeaway container and only put about a quarter of what was left of the fried rice in the container, asked about it and they just denied. Made sure when I got home and only filled a small plate. Utterly a waste of money, not full and mad that they ripped off us and had been so rude when we asked about the pricing.
This use to be a great place. Sad to see it has gone down hill.
Will not be coming back.

Oh my goodness, this is like walking back in time 40 years ago when Perth had restaurants like this that changed their traditional style of food to cater to the bland tastes of Aussies, I am not a fan of this restaurant but clearly there are a lot of people that enjoy this restaurant, the service was polite and friendly but the food was so strange to me and quite a lot of MSG. No chopsticks.what's up with that? So, if you want to eat genuine Chinese food don't visit here but if you enjoy traditional Australian Chinese food then this is for you.
