Collie Ridge

Enjoyed a very pleasant meal for my Wedding Anniversary. Chicken Parmy was very generous, the Salmon has very nice.

Three of us went in to the restaurant for a meal. Meals were average for a pub. Staff not very experienced or well trained on how to serve meals, one female staff member was happy to stand behind counter & ignore us while checking out her phone, even when we had to indicate that we required more drinks. Obviously not trained in how to serve meals properly to diners, meals in on the left empty plates out on the right & seriously never stretching across in front of other diners to serve a meal. Toblerone cheesecake was a surprise with a bland serving of cheesecake served with a chunk of Toblerone on top, a bit more imagination needed with it, try grating Toblerone through cheesecake or even on top. We assumed it may have been a bit more upper class than your average pubs, but no standard of dress code applies here, workers were coming through in work clothes, boots, shorts & thongs. Bathroom had no soap in, so I approached counter to advise staff & all they did was lay blame on previous day shift plus hand sanitiser on counter, where the female staff member had the spent the evening on her phone, was empty, also down to day crew apparently, not good enough for in a dining room. Won't recommend or return.

4 Star for the room only because the TV was not streaming friendly but otherwise the room was spacious, had good lighting options, was well equipped with utensils (not a standard) etc and very accessible between car and room.
The best part of my on/off 3 week stay at various motels in Collie was the meal at the Ridge restaurant both in value, quality and most of all, the generous size of the meal and beverage prices, all accommodated to by attentive staff keen to make you feel welcome and without.

We had a school reunion in the Function Centre. It’s a great venue, the staff are lovely and most helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

It was very clean and very relaxing there is also a pool the restaurant is great great food and drinks love it

Grateful for the late check in. Room clean with good amenity. Beds are rock hard to sleep on though. Good room service attendant but menu is expensive and limited

The standard has dropped since I first started using the facility some years back. Meals could use a review

Stayed one night there while in Collie for work. King Spa Suite. Really spacious and has much more than you would need for a typical one night. More importantly in my case it's quiet at night. Easy check out by just dropping the key in a box. Good one day/night experience.

Food was good but it took over an hour and they forgot one of our meals, service was pretty average

As a regular customer and constantly bringing visitors to the Collie Ridge for a meal, I was disgusted on the service provided and the time it took for our meal to arrive, then had to wait another 20 minutes for forgotten meal to came out. Pork belly was burnt on the bottom. When staff were asked about the meal, eyes were rolled. All 5 guests were very disappointed. Not sure I will ever return.

Thought we'd try somewhere different other than the usual pub meals. Tried the Ridge. Very disappointed. Food was cooked with no love at all. Flavours were added afterwards so the meats were very plain tasting. My pork ribs were some of the worst I've had, at least my dogs ate well.

Had a group meeting in the morning and we have been well catered for. Lovely venue and lovely staff.

On the top of their features list is WiFi but we had no connection. Came out of the bush to do some important tasks and had to go sit in the office to get any kind of signal. In '22 no WiFi in rooms is a poor effort.

Thoroughly discussed had booking for work booked for 14 to 17th of December 2022 could not stay the 14 so rang them said would not be there due to work commitments.so lost Wednesday which was our problem.went down on the 15th got work completed rang them at 3.30 and said i would like to cancel booking for the 15,16,17 they informed me that they could not cancel because the required 24 Hours notice. This is a scam at the utmost so take your money then rent out the room to someone else, double dipping at its best. It is hard enough for small business to survive now with out getting rip off hard from a hotel which you would have thought would understand it not as if they can not rent the room.
THE MOST IRONIC THING IS I WAS PLANING A TRIP OF 15 PEOPLE TO STAY HERE IN COLLIE
WELL THEY HAVE JUST DONE THEMSELVES OUTOF A GREAT SOME OF MONEY.

Have stayed at the Collie Ridge regularly over 12 year's ago and now once overnight again enjoyed the experience of good accommodation and great food.

The 2 bed unit was spotless and well set out with plenty of room. Unfortunately where we were located in room 102 even though internet said it was connected it just kept buffering and we couldn't get any service.we tried to use the BBQ facilities but that was mission impossible and we ended up going back to the room and finished cooking there. The double bed in the main room was terrible. I could feel every spring in the mattress and the pillows were all lumpy. So was a bit disappointed.

Have been staying at the Ridge for at least 10 years. Made a booking 2 weeks in advance. It’s 8.15pm Friday night I’m 2 minutes away from Collie. I receive a phone call from the Ridge requesting my vaccination information. I can’t supply it and I’m not welcome. Zero notice, Zero warning, Zero f@&cks given. I understand it’s the Ridges right to refuse but the unprofessional manner undertaken astounds me. Luckily the Collie Motel looked after me, even after hours. Not as nice a place, but better people and that’s important. Collie Ridge you won’t ever see another cent from me or my mates.

Just drove 3 hours, to be turned away at the door at 8: 30pm due to the inability to produce a double vaccination certificate. Had made the booking over 2 weeks ago, no mention of the requirement. Luckily for us, the nice man at Collie Motel, found us a lovely room with no issues at all. Collie ridge will never be receiving another cent out me again. Been a loyal customer for over 20 years. Disappointed
