Coles Hillarys reviews
33The worst supermarket I've been to in a long time. The self serve checkouts are the slowest I've ever experienced. The staff were too busy having a chat to help. And it was typical of Coles with the self-serve interface being terrible to use and the meat prices excessive.
Although this Coles is not large, it has a wide range of products, and the staff members are very friendly. The keypoint is that it is conveniently located nearby.
Great little Coles store, very busy today, staff were very good with all check outs attended making for a quick exit.
I needed some talcum powder
I spent ages up and down the isles, none to be seen. I followed a shop assistant. I asked the young man if they sold it. He went off to ask. He came back. Isle 10 he said. I said. I’ve been up and down there 10 times, it’s not there.
He shrugged.
I looked again in isle 10. Not there
I gave up, went next door and bought it from the chemist.
Ignorant little sod.
Not my preferred place to go to. The fresh food section especially seafood is often disappointing. Vegetables are sometimes good but overall often lacking flavor.
Wanted buy fruity water can pack as seen on catalogue coles sent by email but couldnt find them in hillarys coles! Apart from that all good
I’ve lived in the area for years now and have always enjoyed shopping local, it’s convenient and love talking to the regulars working, but lately, it’s been a absolute downer not so much with products but more with staff’s customer service! I’m not one to be making complaints after complaints but lately I’ve had to ring to give Feedback on staff incompetence, rudeness and failure to even acknowledge customers. I’m tired off hearing We’re short off staff it’s ongoing, fix the failings or give more training in conduct and customer service.
I waited in front off front counter for 30 mins to see staff approach, to then be ignored and when I asked could someone serve she rudely said she can’t leave her position but had no common-sense to ask anyone or even say someone will attend to you. But instead she had attitude. I have no time for this behaviour and am happy to go elsewhere.
Prospective employee. Tried to work through the complex process, when I tested positive for covid, only to be told "best we part ways" from store manager.
It may not be as big as some stores but they do have a good range and staff are very friendly.
Ok, good parking and an adequate aamount/range of stock (for a small Coles outlet). Friendly staff too.
Normally good, some things are not in stock at the moment due to current conditions with transport of goods
Staff are always smoking out the front of the store. I've complained almost a year ago and nothing has changed. They go by the Thai restaurant and all the smoke gets stuck in the roll down blinds. It's disgusting.
The parking is a joke at the best of times. Food is always low on the shelves no matter when I go. And I'm about to go back because my online order was wrong. Again.
Used to be a favourite local supermarket, not any more. Poor customer service and an unpleasant experience let it down.
When I unpacked a roasted chicken, purchased at Coles Hillarys today, I found that it was partially eaten. Absolutely disgusting.
Despite being busy, I had to go back, not so much for a refund but hoping that this issue will be followed up and staff will make sure that this won't happen to someone else.
After a long wait I was told by a store assistant, whose name was covered up under the clothes, that "this is impossible", literally meaning I'm lying.
I never got an apology, but the funny looks and poor attitude from the staff members.
I received my refund, but not sure if any action will be taken to prevent this from happening again.
Nice and local. Plenty of specials and always tidy. Staff are always super friendly too. Also like the undercover parking
Its just as good as any Coles. The deaf dude with a hearing aid is always very friendly. Where's the Lady with the limp gone?
The young lady called Olivia deserves a pay rise, every time i go there she has a smile on her face constantly helping customers and is very professional at what she does.
Excellent service in Coles Hillarys. The young girl in the bakery section was extremely helpful. Thank you
Love coles hillarys.its like a cosy gourmet shop.i hunt for the pork shoulder.like a 2kg footy and cut it up like pork chops.i get the chicken for good chicken rice.and the free range eggs.its got reasonable priced fruits n veges.avocados are always fresh n bargain price.onya coles!
Pretty good Coles. Always tend to stop here when I'm in the area (usually appointments nearby). There's a really good public toilets right near the entrance as well.
Outside parking can be tight, but normally plenty on offer and nice & close to Coles. There's also undercover parking where the travelator brings you right coles entrance.
Love the style of the little area - all outdoors with plenty of greenery as opposed to an indoor complex.
I love this tucked away coles. Undercover parking, wide, well stocked aisles and no waiting for checkouts.
