Cockburn ARC reviews
55Quite a bit more expensive than I thought, coming from Sydney and a similar setup (government owned) ARC is a lot more expensive (and crowded) so needs more facilities like more saunas and steam rooms as there wasn't even any room.
My son is 7, I was asked by every single safeguard who walked past me: “how old is your son? ”which was annoying.
Children under 6 need adults go into the pool with them, I didn’t because my son is 7.
Please trust parents as we DO CARE about our children’s safety, don’t judge a kid’s age by his height.
If you want to make it more specific, add another policy like children must be minimum height 120cm to enter pool area on their own.
Thanks
It's a really cool place. The basketball courts are perfect for any type of use (casual/recreational) and the water park is huge and quite entertaining. Wonderful place to come to, if you're alone or with people.
Looks like there are some good activities to do including basketball, gym and pools.
Went to the pool side, great splash park for older kids. Not many swimming options for toddlers and young kids.
If you have noise sensitive kids I do not recommend the indoor pool for them as it is very loud with the splash park on. If you have waterproof ear muffs highly recommend taking.
Staff were friendly and helpful at reception.
One of the best leisure centres you can go to in my opinion. There were prices increases recently, but still lots of value.
From the pools, group fitness classes, and personalised workout plan, plus body scans and feedback from the results.
Nice place for the kids to join teams or spend a few hours. The café surprisingly made a decent coffee. All round well organised good arena
Have attended the 7: 15am Aqua class. Heather is the teacher and is both energetic and encouraging of our efforts! Good sound system too, you can hear her instructions which is so helpful!
The gym is great but the some machine are weak some not.seated leg cruel it’s hard get two legs in and get legs out and rowing machines is weak can’t fill anything my shoulders and core not working. Cross trainers are weak to.
Local gym. Great pool for the kids with water slides for 7yo and above. Good amenities with plenty of parking
Inside was so hot it wasn't comfortable to watch younger children swimming. The cafe closed at 2pm due to running out of food.
Very large complex. Different slides and pools for kids of different ages and appetites for fun. Cafe serves decent food. Can be quite a wait for the slides if it's busy, especially The Tumbler.
Perth’s newest water park Cockburn ARC is insane! Featuring three amazing water slides a huge area for children, basketball courts, and four pools. It’s fantastic value for money and a great family day out. Rather than drive, take the bus or train to Cockburn Central and avoid the traffic. Actually there's way more, but we didn't get time, so we have planned to return. The staff are friendly and professional, plus the cafe makes a mean latte.
If your 4 to 9 year old requires water they can stand in to safely swim for leisure within arms reach. This is not the centre for you. Always swimmjng lessons going in the one pool with no room left for anyone els. You are not told at reception. You are somehow expected to know. Its every afternoon and throughout the weekends. Visiting honestly a waste of money.
Great staff Great venue. And their aqua membership pass is excellent value if you want wet not land based exercise It includes locker and all aquatic class access Spa. Sauna etc
Very disappointing. School holidays and 1 out of the 3 slides that you have to pay extra for STILL isn't working. Also the big bucket in the childrens section isn't working.also the spa isn't working. Not worth it
There are many recreational centre plus huge water slides and pools. The basketball courts there are great and require cheap prices to enter. This infrastructure is very modern and highly invested. I would recommend anyone to go here, play with your friends and family.
Well designed with excellent swimming facilities for little ones and their families. They have a family change area which is revolutionary. And the locker system is also handy.
Friendly staff and, even though the facilities are newer and better, it costs less than most other public swimming pools.
My 4yo loves the giant bucket and slides there.
The Cockburn ARC - pool is great with a spacious steam room, sauna room and nice heated pool. Joined late last year, staff are always friendly.
Hair dryers only for women. I am a support worker who has come here with my client. I will never be back as he can potentially get a flu and this is a sort of ridiculous discrimination. Can a man have long hair?
What an absolute headache. I suspended my membership due to pregnancy and informed the ARC I wanted to cancel membership, they were misleading and uninformative and convinced me to stay till baby was born and then restart membership to save money. I was unaware I was accumulating Debt with them and they charging me membership charges. When I visited the Arc I pay normal admission fees as I was to believe I was “suspended” I spoke to numerous staff members over the phone and was told something different every time. No notes recorded there end apparently. Issue hasn’t been resolved and caught them out lying. Beware! It’s a trap.
