Club Hotel Southern Cross

Spent two nights at this hotel in Feb 2024. Really impressed with the effort the new owners and staff have put into it. Lynn was amazing and made us feel very welcome. The steak was the best I have had in years. Highly recommend staying over and enjoying the food and great service.

Only place in Southern Cross to accommodate me as was driving through heading back to Perth from eastern states with work.
Tried other places for accommodation but were rude.
The Club Hotel and ALL STAFF are beautiful, friendly and genuine people.
The food is to die for (SURF AND TURF)
The beer is ICEY COLD AND LOCAL TO THE GOLD FIELDS region (LEGENDS)
The room (5 STAR AND THE CLEANEST I HAVE STAYED IN FROM VICTORIA TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA (would not let my dog stay in anything there sorry).
THE CLUB HOTEL SOUTHERN CROSS IS THE PLACE TO STAY EVEN FOR AN OVERNIGHT STAY OR WEEKEND GET AWAY.

It was a pleasure to stay here, the service and hospitality is very welcoming.
Its everything you want in a small town outback pub.
It's definately a must stay or stop in for a beer or meal when travelling through Southern Cross.

Beautifully renovated pub! Staff at bar super helpful, laid back and friendly. Lovely little breakfast bar with cereal, many teas, coffee and toast on a help yourself basis, lovely to see!

Lunch time meal was 5 star. Had the
scotch fillet was cooked to perfection.
Meal was cheaper and better quality and price than alot of city restaurants. Was given a lovely pot of tea free. Service was wonderful! What a delight in a small town

Having read some reviews about the accommodation which appear to show issues with the standard rooms, I booked one of the deluxe rooms. I arrived, paid by credit card and was given a key. I got to my room and found out that instead of the deluxe room that I had booked, I had been dumped in the smallest standard room.
At no point was I told that my reservation was not being honoured. They did not even have the courtesy to apologise or explain that I was not getting the room that I had booked. If they could not honour my booking, I should have been pre-warned so I could decide whether to continue with it or make alternative arrangements. It appears that regulars or groups are given priority over rooms. If you are not from Australia, you may want to bear this in mind.

The room i was given, is the room that other reviews complain about; the one that has frosted glass and smelly drains in the bathroom - and yes, it stinks!
It was also freezing, I ended up wearing two layers of clothes to sleep in including socks, which I have not worn in bed in over 30 years. There was also some sort of generator clunking off and on all night.

A hotel does not have to be fancy but a decent night's sleep is a basic. Between the cold, rhe smell and the noise, it failed to deliver the basics. An extremely disappointing stay.

Absolutely beautiful ladies. So so friendly and welcoming! Very very lovely. Could not fault them one bit. 100% recommend this place. 10/10

Enjoyed a lovely dinner and great craft beer before heading off to bed. Pub atmosphere was relaxed with friendly. Lynne and Shelly (?) were super attentive and made everyone feel like a regular. Thank you

Had a fabulous time enjoying the ambience this beautiful PUB offered. Our meals were huge and tasty. The service provided by Keri and Lyn second to none They were attentive to our needs, and really interested in our 'story'. Stayed for 2 nights in Southern Cross. Decided to try the Club Hotel. I heard it had been refurbished and it was worth a visit.
I wasnt disappointed.
Modern bar and surrounds and facilities.
Would put some city pubs to shame.
Back packers as bar staff but were brilliant. I felt so comfortable just sitting at the bar having a taste of their local brews.
Great artwork adorne the walls.
Steak for dinner was beautiful.
Chargrilled with steamed vegies and mash.
I will be back and will be booking a room next time.
Lynne the proprietor was pleasant and easy to have a chat. Kept a close eye on evrything.

Stayed a night with my family on our way from NSW to Northern Perth the rooms were fresh, clean and newly renovated. The food was exceptional we ordered the pizzas and chicken parmigiana all were fantastic. The staff were friendly and had great personalities the manager even gave the kids free ice cream after dinner, the kids where so happy to get dessert after the delicious dinner. For the adults the craft beers were so good.

Had a truck breakdown phoned hotel for a meal had an amazing steak and veges. Fabulous staff and great Reno on an old pub. Highly recommend

Club Hotel Southern Cross - An unexpected oasis for us when our first EV West to East expedition left us stranded for a recharge.
Tastefully refurbished, friendly and helpful staff, great accommodation and delicious food with an in-house brewery, 10/10.

Nice town too - with an informative museum about the Yilgarn region. Great stopover destination - especially when it updates to a more comprehensive Electric Vehicle recharge system for future travellers. The one at the oval didn’t suit our BYD type 2 connector.

Called in for a great meal and excellent premium beer. Staff and the meal did not disappoint for a great night out

Had a great big table for 12 in the Brewery room. Enjoyed the meals, and new beers brewed on sight, and the staff where very helpful

Staying in Southern Cross for a few days and have been dining out at the Club hotel. It’s bloody marvelous. Greeted by friendly staff almost before you get in the door, they brew their own beer, meals are bloody sensational and the sound track is tailored to my vintage Do yourself a favour and call in.

Wow a newly renovated pub, and so lovely.tahlia made us all welcome and would recommend a visit or stay upstairs in their comfortable rooms.food was awesome

The hotel has been tastefully refurbished and is very neat and attractive inside. The counter staff are welcoming and friendly and the meals are great.
