Didn't stay but called in, looks like a great place to bunk down need to be self-contained though

Pros: we went early October
sites by the caretaker suitable for caravans & the roads graded so don’t even need 4WD.
Looks picturesque with good sun sets and in the ocean is calm with reasonable tides so don’t have to walk far.
Firepits provided, site 124 had a good one looked like an outdoor fireplace in the evening
Easy to throw a line out the fish were biting using squid as bait, although caught no keepers.

Cons:
Sh1t loads of flies.
Also sand flies
And ants.
It was very hot, during the day not enjoyable.
The ocean had some sand but a lot of rocks and soft seaweed covered coral. Ok to cool off but not enjoyable swimming in.

Overall:
It made us appreciate a caravan park, Onslow where we went next was like paradise on arrival, with only 1 fly to the 10 at Clearaville.
If you want to appreciate somewhere else better, then go to Clearaville!

Great cliff top Beach front camp!
Sea breeze was welcomed on those hot 37deg days! Cooling down of evening to enjoy a nice open fire.
Beautiful shell collecting and reef exploring lots of sea life to see.
Whales are breeching about 2km off shore yesterday.
Yes midges are about so lather up!

Lovely to camp right near the beach. Plenty of midges at night. Beach to walk on in my campsite was average, choose your sites wisely… no facilities at all. Need to be self sufficient. Dogs welcome. Unlike 80 Mile Beach!

Another piece of paradise on the West Coast of Australia. Good for fishing, cheap camping.

Great spot near the beach, but no toilets near our site, if you are paying there should be a drop loo at least and lots of midges!

Amazing free campsite (off season)
Stunning views, plenty of spots, next to the ocean.
