Civeo Karratha Village reviews
20Good location however, rooms and the food are very poor. Stayed here for 3.5 weeks and had my room cleaned 3 times to a very poor standard each time. Showers and floors are very dirty. The single beds are OK however definitely need updating. Food was absolutely terrible, many people survived off yoghurt and crackers. The quality of the meals provided was so bad. Many complaints were made but still no change to the quality. Avoid if you can.
Good central location at the corner of Madigan Road, and small enough to not get lost (unlike Gap Ridge).
Food options are limited, apparently it was previously much better. But town is close by for outside catering.
Buildings look new, and breezeways are covered, with plenty of cooling greenery planted. Rooms are in generally good condition, but shower heads are lime scaled and do not work well.
Beds are atrocious. The mattresses should have been changed long ago. All springs and no cushioning, with collapsing edges (I fell out of bed twice.).
Stayed here for around 6 weeks on and off the rooms are in dire need of a proper clean dirt and grime all over the walls and bathroom. The food was mediocre and the crib in the morning was terrible same fruit was actually rotten in the bay-mare for over 3 days wifi isn’t in all rooms and when asked was told that we did not pay for that. Personal I would avoid if possible
Great tucker. Need to have aluminium foil available when making lunches. Need to be able wrap wraps in foil to heat up for lunches at work
Nice place to stay and away from any shopping centre. There is swimming pool and nice gym. No lunch served here.
Tasty food. Nice clean kitchen area. Rooms small but clean and in good condition, gym equipment in great condition,
My dog eats better food, head chef is rude and arrogant when asking for an eta on an order after waiting 40 mins
The staff where lovely and helpful. However food was often cold, many mattresses had Springs digging into you. Food depends on the crew that was on. However it was normally stone cold. The rooms were quite old and shower hear held together with sticky tape. Shower basin was peeling. Again several rooms were the same.
The manager is absolutely rude and felt like she was personally attacking me. Not sure of her name but described as a larger woman with blonde hair. Her customer service is disgusting on the other hand the other staff have been amazing in helping me with my requests where she did not
Very standard camp, rooms look like there from the 80's you feel every spring in the bed and they dont use a fitted sheet so you wake up wrapped in bottom sheet, showers are hit and miss you either get hot water or you dont, no wifi in current room but can get outside, food is also hit and miss cribs are very standard
A "standard" camp with around 500 beds (I guess), open also to the public. What I noticed when comparing to many other camps I stayed:
- Standard size rooms, interior looks a bit like it is from the 80s but ok.
- You don't get a "half-week cleaning" (new towels, emptied bin)
- Breakfast options are standard like in most camps
- Dinner is a bit hit and miss but you can order a few dishes (fish, wok, steaks)
- Crib options are limited
- No wet mess
- Decent gym
- Swimming pool
- Lockers to store your stuff when on RnR, note: You won't be able to store a big suitcase, a "standard" one just fits
- Decent WIFI (I think 1.5 GB/day)
- Due to the layout you walk quite a bit from some rooms to the food mess
Not sure where the negative reviews come as the food is really good. Accommodation is what you would expect from a workers camp but it has better tv options than most hotels in Perth! Great camp to stay in. It doesn't have a bar which is probably a good thing
Rooms are comfortable enough, although extended stays would be uncomfortable. The person who designed the layout of the place needs sacked. Reception and the mess are in the very back corner. So if you get a front room, you need to run the gauntlet of flies everyday. Foods terrible.
Good quality workers village. Wifi seems good enough, clean rooms, usual gym etc. Food has been reasonably good so far. Pretty much what you expect and I've definitely stayed in far worse.
Food is atrocious! Accommodation is fine, nice rooms. Repairs are slow in response for room issues.
Food occasionally reaches the heights of adequate. Bedding is clean and furniture OK, if sparse. Bedroom floor is grubby (makes your feet dirty) and bathroom is very basic and grimy around the edges. Not recommended.
Nothing to write home about here. And i thought all the Gas workers had great Accommodation, fairly standard food and digs.
Civeo is in a great location for me personally. Has serviceable rooms. Food isn't great. But then again thats just my opinion
Nice peaceful place, small kitchen, WiFi for each room 1.5 GB/day limit. Room cleaning service is once a week only, donga style rooms, mainly for employer sponsored accommodation. Laundry needs improvement. Those who have resource sector background can't expect much. Tiny dust bin in room. Allergic to air con noise? Avoid this place.
Pretty good units to stay over. Good gym facility and nice private out door pool. Car parks lots well layout. Good dinning too.
