So great! They let you explain what you want and then show you what to expect by the end of the session.

The team and Ginette at circles did a fantastic job on colouring and styling my hair for a last minute photoshoot I had, they worked professionally and fast to get me out on time.and I will most definitely be coming back to use as my regular salon!

I was initially very excited about coming to circles of hair as i am not one to splurge on my haircuts, however i was unfortunately very disappointed with the experience I had at Circle of hair (Subiaco). I had booked in to see Emma and my hair was cut by someone else, this change in detail wasn’t mentioned to me until after my haircut when I asked why I couldn’t see Emma - they replied saying she was booked out today. Which makes no sense as I was able to book this appt with her a week prior. I had a talk to the hairdresser, who cut my hair, about my hair type and I mentioned that I have psoriasis along my hairline and said my hair is quite dry. Despite this when she was washing my hair the temperature was very hot and was burning my scalp. Safe to say that was the most uncomfortable hair washing experience i have had. In spite of this i had high hopes for the haircut, however, there was zero communication between us and it was quite frustrating that she kept leaving me to check on her other clients - I think my experience would've been a lot more pleasant if we weren't sitting in silence. As a result i was unhappy with the hair cut as she had cut of more than what we had discussed. And it seemed as though she just wanted to get my appt over with as soon as possible and use little to no effort in doing so. Which is disappointing considering the amount i paid ($300) and that it wasn't what i had asked for. Definitely won't be coming back or recommending this place.

Been coming to Circles of Subiaco since I discovered their salon early this year. I live in a regional town and I have been to Perth three times since Jan and have visited the salon at all three occasions. To me it was a no brainer to choose Circles of Hair as they have won a couple of awards for best hair salon in the last couple of years. My first appointment in Jan was great and I had nothing to complain. So I returned to the salon in June for some hair makeover and makeup. I still loved it although the first colour application was not really what I wanted so they had to tone it down a little. Overall it was a good experience so I decided to go back for a Keratin treatment a few days ago when I was back in Perth. I must say my stylist seemed friendly and did a good job with the treatment, my hair looks and feels really good. However let’s just say I had to suffer before achieving the result. There were a few times where she had the hair dryer on a few spots for too long and too close to my scalp where it got really hot and I felt like my scalp was burning and I had to duck away to make her stop. The worst part though was when she literally burned one side of my face with the straightener. I am now left with two black scars/stripes on my face. God knows if they’ll ever disappear: (I have been going to hair salons since I was 13 since 2000 every single week because of my frizzy and curly hair that constantly requires maintenance. My ears have had a number of contacts with straighteners over the years but I must say no one ever left a burnt mark on my face with a straightener or anything at all, not once before. I definitely think the staff needs further training on the correct handling of hair dryers and hair straighteners.

I am very disappointed and to be honest quite traumatised with my latest experience: (

A little on the pricier side, but soooo worth it! Eliza gave me the most amazing blow dry ever and was a pleasure to talk to Instead of cross selling hair products, she told me how hair fall could be the reason behind my hairfall which is exactly what my problem was hahah! I appreciated her honesty. Don’t hesitate to ask for her! Looking forward to booking a cut and colour soon xx

I had my Hair cut by Claire last Tuesday and was very happy with her service. Claire went above and beyond to help with what I needed. I was so impressed with her professional etiquette. Best hair cut I have ever had! I will definitely be back, Thank you Claire!

I decided on a difficult combo of blond with black extensions. Ben my ‘ person ‘ blended and snipped and tweaked til it all came together in a perfect graduation of light to dark. I knew what I wanted but Ben made it a reality.
I recommend this salon and Ben in particular for those who wish for something unusual. I do believe he’s capable of anything.

Claire did an amazing job on my hair here:) I had a bad dye job from a previous salon and Claire completely corrected their mistakes while still leaving my hair super soft. Claire listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me really good advice and tips. I ended up leaving with a look that was even better than I had hoped for. There wasn’t a single staff member here that wasn’t friendly and it’s been the best experience I’ve had in a salon so far.

I paid $417 for a 0.5cm haircut and hair colour change, the lady specifically said she ‘specialises in trims’ although the price is just extreme, I still had dead ends after it. I was a natural blonde wanting to go brown, I specifically said that I will want to go back blonde eventually, the hair dresser (who returned from leave and it was her 1st/2nd day back) said that it was very possible and a semi permanent hair colour will do just fine. After leaving, my hair was red instead of brown, I then called up and I was able to come in for a free redo, during this redo I had my hair washed with cold water, my hair was brushed with a ladies fingers instead of a hair brush, and the staff that was doing my hair was bringing down the trainees talking to them rudely. It has now been almost 6 months, my hair still has a red tinge, and it is still very much brown even though the lady guaranteed me it would wash out very nicely in about 4-6 weeks. It is very obvious that the lady was misleading and I am very disappointed after seeing my hair this colour still after so long. I constantly have people telling me my hair is red and it’s just something I’m not comfortable nor confident in. I have already mentioned to my friends where I got my hair done and they stated “why there? , I’ve seen many complaints there”. It is a big disappointment as the hairdresser was very reassuring and was telling me this would just wash out.

Really disappointed in my hair cut and colour yesterday, I asked for some lightened colours through the front Instead it’s a dreary dark brown. I won’t be going back.

Super happy with my consultation and cut. Easy to book and they understood my needs in terms of after care. Suggested tips to keep it looking good.

I am sharing from my experience last year which still frustrates me. I went in for a quote of which was around $350 for long hair balayage to lighter brown and trim, i also was told it would take about 5 hours (i already had some grown out balayage so they had to bleach some more and colour it). When i returned for my cut a couple of days later i was then given the reciept prior to starting which stated around $550! After some time having to think if i should fork out an extra $200 or not, i decided to just do it as i dont often get my hair done and it was a gift for myself. The whole thing took 7.5 hours, my hair felt like it was pulled off my scalp 3 times as the colour didnt take the 1st time round and after all that i felt the colour started to rinse out after a wash or 2. Honestly a really bad experience from me. I dont often have my hair done and its really put me off from doing it again.

If there were negative stars, it would be more applicable in this circumstance. For background, I spent $1000 on a flight and a large sum of money for accommodation as I flew interstate to attend this appointment after being impressed with the instagram photos, none of which were substantiated from my experience. Firstly, don't bother providing a photo of a colour/cut you desire and want to achieve. You'll only be disappointed and told that "it usually takes more than one appointment to achieve this look" after reassuring you that the look can be achieved prior to commencing and "that picture (you supply as an example) is photoshopped as hell". Secondly, when you express that you are not satisfied with the outcome, you will be approached by the Manager; Kirsty who lacks resolution strategies, who comes in hot headed and speaks to you in a condescending manner, telling you to sit down as you appear intimidating and further cutting your words short stating "let me speak". You will be told you're wrong multiple times as "customer needs" does not apply here. You as a costumer won't get to decide how your hair turns out, you'll just be told you must pay their hefty price. I asked for a all over colour stemming from the roots as per the picture I provided. I was told that I agreed to not have colour immerse from the roots and when I attempted to correct them, my comments weren't considered. Further, the stylist concentrated on the ends, lightening only them. When I told her I wanted to cut my hair shorter, her response was "but then I'd cut all the hair I've coloured off". If the colour of the picture I provided was achieved, it would not have impacted the cut length. Further, when you negotiate a resolution strategy, you will be spoken to to aggressively stating, I quote: "WELL, WHAT DO YOU WANT" (Kirsty). When you advise them that you wont pay and you'll leave your details with them to pass onto the owner for them to contact you as you weren't wasting anymore time being abused, they will deprive you of your liberty and demand payment. Lucky for them, I did respect the owner; Sharlene (via phone) who was professional, polite and was willing to come to some sort of resolution. I still paid for the service but I wasn't satisfied and left the salon disappointed. Kirsty has ruined my experience and I would recommend that she attends a conflict resolution course as she was very rude and made my experience really unpleasant. This course would benefit her immensely as she clearly struggles with simple customer service skills. It's unfortunate that I did not get the look I was really hoping to achieve. I definitely am not happy with the colour. When I sat in the chair I clearly stated that I didn't want a subtle change, I wanted a drastic change and showed the hair stylist a picture. This wasn't conveyed as the hair stylist who took a photo struggled seeing change indoors stating that the lighting was poor and to go outside for a photo. I was willing to have my hair corrected by the owner; Sharlene, but the abuse and service deliverly from Kirsty left me so humiliated, that I couldn't bring myself to revisiting.

Rhi did my hair today and it was honestly the best cut and colour i've ever had, it feels so fresh and I couldn't be happier! Definitely worth the money I love it! I like how an effort was made to style my hair nicely before I left as I feel many salons charge you for drying it and let you walk out with wet hair.

I got a balayage and I love it, on my black hair it turned out so much better than imagined. Recommended good products and everyone was so nice and it’s a welcoming environment, it was so relaxing from start to finish, I had to be somewhere and they worked it out for me to leave in time, they gave me good advice since I’m close to clueless when it comes to what’s good for you in products and how to look after your hair properly, it was a great experience! I would definitely recommend coming here ️

I told the young lady that I only wanted foils as not alot money, she gave me a quote for $500 which included treatment, cut & blow wave, she didnt like it when I said No No No. I felt like she was pushing for me to do the works. I then got 1/2 head of foils & toner which she then left on too long & now my hair is dry & over bleached. Wont be going back.

I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH.

I walked in last-minute after a different hair salon completely ruined my hair - uneven cut, yellow and grey colouring and dry as a bone. The staff were kind enough to make time (4 hours) for me and were incredibly nice when I came in crying.

The staff COMPLETELY transformed my hair - platinum blonde blended with my natural colour and a very nice bob cut. They even sent me home with a goodie bag of hair products that would help revitalise my hair after the serious beating it had gone through that day.

Circles completely saved my hair and I cannot thank them enough for it. DO NOT try anywhere else - JUST GO HERE.

Looking for a good hair cutter, then Jeanette is your go to person, she is fantastic, your hair just sits where its meant to when she uses her craft on it.

Way overpriced, if you’re happy to pay a high premium to substitute the champagne and an espresso machine then go for it, i get the same for half the price, just as good, minus the champagne and Expresso, so.

I recently returned to Circles! This has been my go to salon for years. However due to illness I had neglected my hair.
Definitely the best salon in Perth! Just when you think the best can't get better!
The staff are so gorgeous and professional
