Absolute joke, CONSTANTLY drops out. Speeds are trash, price is through the roof. Customer service is laughable, always say they will ring back and fix the problem, say they won’t charge me for that month ect but i always get charged. If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could select no stars I would, that's how disappointing this internet provider is and definitely not worth the one. Surprised I was able to even submit this review.

The team at CipherTel recently installed an internet connection at our remote site in Kununurra. The service was fantastic and the connection is perfect.

Where do I start. I do not understand how a company like this is still allowed to operate. To start the area I live in does not allow us to sign with any other company bar this one under a contract, that means we are forced to sign. $85 a month for 500g download limit and max speed of 18 mbps. This is borderline extortion when you compare what other companies offer. Which we can’t sign up with. House is 4 years old and a box in garage so how is it so slow?

Next is the staff. If you get the lady then expect a friendly conversation she really tries but as a receptionist she has no influence over the running of the company. The 3 guys are rude and just bad to deal with. It’s actually a pain in their backside when you ring with issues your having with a service you pay their wages to provide to you. Pull your head out of wherever it is and realise this fact! The only reason you have customers is because we can’t go anywhere else or is this the reason that you are probably the worst internet service provider this state will ever see.

When the contract is up barring other companies from providing internet service I have all the information I need to legally break this contract and will be doing so as soon as I can.

When having issues you can wait for days to get a resolution.
When the internet goes down on a Friday night there is no 24 hour call or even 10-2 on Saturday so expect the entire weekend without it. While these ciphertel workers are at home enjoying lag and drop out free internet provided by another company.
I’ve had to wait 2 weeks to get an issue resolved and had to do 5 follow up calls to get sorted as they have no rotational staff when on holidays
Bring your own modem. When having issues the staff can’t direct over the phone to fix these issues. So they say bring it in. But please call a week in advance as we will be busy
If one house has bad connection it affects all the other houses near by
Having rude and unhelpful staff
Having to hotspot your own devices to watch Netflix
Playing online games and constantly getting booted part way through a game

In summary I hate this company, over priced & under delivered, forced into using this company and wish there was some sort of board I could report them too. There should be industry standards not a cowboy company acting as they please and you can see the highest rating is a 2. The other 100 probably didn’t have the internet to leave a review or got stopped hallways through.

I use my own data from Optus to make sure I can leave this. I have stressed this to the company on numerous occasions to no avail except I think the lady is aware of the battles the company faces

Completely unreliable Trash speeds
Do not choose this service

Have blocked 99% of all mainstream internet applications including games, Facebook and other social media, have to use a vpn to bypass the block, and even then they just block the vpn that i am using at the time. Don't fall into this company's scam
