Churchlands Optical Optometrist

We have been to optometrists from Cottesloe/Subiaco and the optical chains. I can not recommend the team at Churchlands Optical more from the initial consultation to ongoing support. I recently had an issue with a broken frame, that needed to be rectified within 3 days prior to an overseas trip, it was resolved with professionalism, excellent service (which is so rare these days) and under warranty at no cost. My family and I are life long customers.

I buy frames once every 10 years. I was looking for a no-compromise rimless frame and knew about Lindberg. I visited my local optometrist Churchlands Optical to trial a few Lindberg minimalist frames to replace my hard working Silouettes, which Silouette could no longer source replacement parts for. Katherine patiently assisted for about an hour and a half with trialling frame and lens shapes that I was happy with. I could even select laser engraving with my name and phone number at no cost, which was a nice touch.

The frame from Denmark arrived in 6 business days and the glasses completed in 9 business days. On pickup the lens arms and nose was fitted. I went back 2-3 times over the next few days to fine tune points of contact at the ears and nose and each time poor Katherine was so patient. Writing this now, the lenses are very light and comfortable while have a reassuring stiffness that I now prefer over the Silouettes.

After a few days I noticed a small lens defect that didn’t annoy me hugely, but I thought it would be worth bringing to Katherine’s attention for future improvement. I didn’t expect anything to be done since it was a minor cosmetic flaw on the rim of the lens and I honestly wasn’t too fussed, but Katherine immediately said that it was a lens defect and would organise a replacement immediately. I was surprised and happy about that.

Lindberg frames are expensive but I feel that they are worth it if you are a person who values quality and ‘buying once’ with an expectation a product will last 10 or so years (with due care). But the frame is just one part of the equation. To support a premium frame like Lindberg requires coupling with a quality lens. Equally as important is that the Lindberg experience is managed by an optical dispenser experienced with Lindberg frames and committed to each individual customer. Churchlands Optical as a retailer are not the most expensive nor the lowest priced, but from my glasses experience over the last 20+ years, they provided the best total service and customer care. It is no surprise they are a premier partner for Lindberg in Perth. Thank you Churchlands Optical.

I have been visiting Annie for many years. This store has a great range of rimless glasses - probably the best range of Lindberg I have seen in Perth. Would highly recommend.

I find it hard to find glasses that fit well, but Katherine and Annie took time with me until I was satisfied. I noticed young families and people with mobility issues come in and leave with a smile too. Competitively priced frames help also.

Unimpressive service - 1 staff member was particularly grumpy / didn't respond well to questions. Another (assistant) said they were going to do something but when I came back after a few days, they had forgotten.

Probably the best Optometric shop in Perth.
Honest, knowledgeable (no sale fluff), fair price.
All the eye test/fitting tech you would expect.
Plus, complementary supply of cleaning equipment.
Highly recommended.
