Ordered 1 Grilled Snapper & a Battered Snapper & chips with a curry sauce. The grilled snapper was the worst piece of fish I have ever had it was grey and undercooked the batter on the other fish was very greasy we won't be back

Food arrived over 1 hour late. Cold and undercooked. Overpriced and small portions. I had to contact the store twice to find my "missing" order. Clearly organisational skills and substandard management practices are detrimental to this once excellent business.

Full order wasnt given to uber driver and when i called the store to follow up advised they couldnt help. Was refunded a small portion of the actual cost of the fish.

All they have is fish and chips, no meat balls. I traveled all the way from Spain to get there meatballs. They said they don’t sell meatballs when there website says meatballs. Oh never mind, I was on the wrong website, silly me

This is my forth review, 3 years after the last. Guess what, no change, in fact it's even more expensive, see the $14 piece of fish, chips extra.

This is my third update over 7 years. Yesterday was an all-time low for Chippy's.

Not only is the whiting not Australian, the portion has been reduced once again.

We ordered two fish 4scallops 4 prawns what we got was three scallops 4 prawns the size of a 10 piece and one of the fish was supposed to be Spanish mackerel and we got the same two fish when I went back and complained they said they only have one sort of fish that they serve but I had to pay extra for the Mackerel and the prawns were $1.90 each for a. 10 piece prawn and chips where not double dipped so they where soft this place is a absolute rip off the poor young girls have no idea what they’re doing and no one managing them they look about 15

So annoyed that the heavy handiness of the server with the overdose of salt ruined our fish and chips. Why? So much salt it was inedible

Absolute rip off. Tiny portions and items missing. When I called I was told it was because they were busy! Not even an offer of a refund for missing items.

This place has gone downhill. Potato cakes were undercooked and hard in the middle and the chips tasted like grease. Wont be back. I now go to Ashby fish and chips and its miles better

Worst fish and chips I've ever "tried to eat" nothing was cooked the batter on the fish and squid was white.like how do you stuff up frying fish. I should have just drank a pint of oil and some cold half cooked fish and chips I'm actually beyong perplexed on how you can cook such terrible food. I mean uncooked food is cool for animals and this was about all of was good for.

Placed an order for chips. Waited 30mins still no chips asked how long told 6mins. Now waiting for 40mins asked again how long was told order nowhere near being next. People behind counter were too busy socialising and standing around doing nothing while only a couple were actually doing any work and with each order there seemed to be a lot of confusion even telling a customer that her order was not received through menu log and took the customer to point out the order to the 3 staff members looking at the screen. Requested a refund went and got alternative chips elsewhere and was served and given the order within minutes. I understand a Friday evening is busy at the fish and chippy however the utter lack of coordination was disgusting and very disappointed

Absolutely disgusting, spent over $40 last night, fish was off, it was yellow inside and smelt terrible
Sea scallops not much better, even dig wouldn't eat them.
I have been sick ever since
Plus very over cooked and just bad
Get your act together guys before the health inspectors close you down, or you get sued.

Ordered from here loads of times over the years and it's always amazing! Never had a bad thing from the place. Just like the good old fish n chips shops from when we were kids, barramundi and red emperor was perfect, potato scallops awesome, chips are a massive serving and the oysters were perfect! Delicious! All these people that complain, most have ordered through menu log or some other third party, order directly through their website, we have over the last 3 years and every order has been spot on and the food excellent

Have had plenty of great experiences! Mostly teenagers working behind the counter, people seem to forget that when they complain and talk down to them. Do need a bit more guidance or a manager on staff for sure to deal with peak times and busy periods
Wait time always says 30 mins online but during peak times make sure to take into count they are extremely busy. Can be a very long wait but Still good food and lovely girls doing the best they can

It is so weird, I have seen other reviews on here with shocking photos and poor write ups. I myself have never had a bad meal here. My go to order is a chicken Burger with sweet chilli and mayo, small chips, crab stick and a dim sim, so maybe I am lucky with what I chose?

Chips have always been crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and well seasoned. Can't really get a deepfried crab stick or dim sim wrong. The chicken burger has been my standard order since I was 13 ordering from the Butler shop!

Giving this pace 3 stars. Service is average. Times give are always a good 10min late. Been here a good 10 times and it hasn't changed. Hit and miss with the food. Not much consistency. Worth going to Ashby or banksia Grove. Sorry but I will not be back given the other options in the area

NEVER ORDER FROM THIS USELESS FISH AND CHIP SHOP!

We have ordered from here numerous times and without fail the order is always screwed up. There are always items missing from the order, one time it was all the fish (considering its a fish and chip shop, you would think they would remember to put the fish in!)
I always ring to speak to the shop but I'm pretty sure this place is being run by children. I asked when the owner is in so I can speak to them but the answer is they never come in! Not helpful at all and never do they offer to fix the issue.

After giving them numerous chances we will never order from Chippy's Carramar again as they are just money thieves. I would never recommend this business to anyone, you are better off going to McDonald's for a fillet-o-fish!

Poor attitude from staff… Rude to be honest…. Order was wrong… not the first time either…
Will be my last time putting money over their counter….

Won't be ordering from Chippies again. Longtime customer but fish portion size collected this evening way too small for the price. Very disappointed!

Just wanted to say thank you to Chippys Carramar, just ordered and picked up the portions were huge and food was amazing. I am sitting here so tummy happy, if you are looking for some amazing service and food go here! Highly recommend thank you!
