You can change the school but you can't rid its past reputation.
Teachers were nice though.

My child's year 7 transition into high school has gone extremely well, he has settled in very quickly. He loves all of his teachers and tells me how interesting he is finding all his classes, he has been very engaged and his grades have improved significantly. I was worried he would struggle with the big change as he is on the spectrum however he is thriving. It's a big relief to know he is doing so well, and is happy.

Our eldest daughter started high school this year. My husband and I both have private school backgrounds and university degrees. We heard great reports via word of mouth from other parents and friends about Champion Bay. The induction program is fantastic for students and gives the students a true taste of high school life. Everyone we have dealt with at this school has been very helpful and enthusiastic. The parents information night last year really reinforced our decision - all who presented impressed, especially Mrs Cotterell who works in the library. Fabulous in house programs and support for students. Our daughter has made good friends, feels happy, supported and safe. We are very pleased we chose Champion Bay. Jude and Hamish Darby

Champion Bay Senior High School has been an excellent educational choice for our family. Staff are engaged, enthusiastic, friendly and helpful.
Students have been given outstanding opportunities over the years, such as the music program, debating, after school dance program, homework club, art club, camps - including an international tour, and opportunities to be part of student leadership.
My year 11 student is studying the ATAR courses of her choice, with excellent support and mentorship from the school.
Champion Bay is helping our student reach her potential, and it is a school community we are pleased to be a part of.

Our two children have attended Champion Bay senior high school and have and are achieving academic success at a high level. The extension class is a fantastic asset to the school and the teachers and indeed administration staff, are all very supportive of the children in their care. They encourage the kids to work well, both independently and under supervision where necessary. I would encourage parents to take advantage of this fabulous learning platform for their children. My eldest son has been going to CBSHS for the last 3 years. He started in year 7 and has had a good high school experience. The school provides a comprehensive extension program for their students which seems to be very successful. CBSHS also offers the GATE program which allows regional students to study core subjects online through Perth Modern. He has studied maths and science online since year 7 and it has been a great challenge and opportunity for him. The technology learning area is excellent as well. Supportive staff.

The teachers are lovely and try their best to educate the students. It may not have the best reputation but it really is a lot better than that. I fully recommend this school to parents that want their child to grow up in well put together environment.
