Carnarvon Hotel reviews
62 My colleague and I had the pleasure of stumbling upon the Carnarvon Hotel during our time on the road, and we were pleasantly surprised by what we found.
The pub was packed with caravans and backpackers, making for a lively atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the service was quick and friendly, and the staff made us feel right at home.
We both ordered food and were impressed with our meals. I got the chicken breast and mash, which was tasty and filling, while my colleague ordered the Parma. Let me tell you, that Parma was something else! It was huge and cooked to perfection, with crispy breading and juicy chicken.
To wash it all down, Little Creatures Hazy, and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect complement to our meals, with a refreshing taste that hit the spot.
All in all, we had a great experience at the Carnarvon Hotel. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively. If you're ever in Carnarvon, we highly recommend checking it out. It's a great spot for a hearty meal and a cold beer on the road
Friendly staff, cold beers, great views, my grilled fish was yummy but unfortunately my husbands chicken schnitzel was raw in the middle was given another meal (not the chicken) and a drink, seniors discount available on certain meals
Every time our family travels through Carnarvon, we stop for a bite to eat here. The crew are extremely helpful and family oriented, going way beyond expectations to make sure we are comfortable. Food is fresh and the kitchen staff obviously take pride in their service. Don't usually write reviews like this but feel compelled to given how well the place is run!
Very pleasant in the beer garden with a view of the sunset over the water. Food was quick and efficient. Standard pub food to a pretty good standard.
I thank the owner for replying to my review (see elsewhere below), but unfortunately if the owner thinks he has travelled widely more than I possibly do (travelling archaeologist) then he has another thing coming. Even on my way home from Canarvon - through Perth - I managed I ate at a number of cafes and restaurants that supplied similar food cheaper. Yes I understand the food must be shipped in to Canarvon which is a great inconvenience and possibly a greater cost to him, but to argue with me that his food is not overpriced is ridiculous in the extreme. I looked at many of the items on the menu and their costs then I can tell him quite assuredly that they are more expensive in C.than elsewhere. Eat here for the sunsets, but be prepared to pay for the privilege.
Stayed in a single motel room. It was very clean and well appointed (fridge, tv, lovely big towel!)
All the staff in the bar and dining area were extremely friendly.
Decent food. Nice view.
Ordered a salad with chicken and came with sand in salad and a large 10cm piece of plastic, response from staff oh will let the kitchen know. What did you want to do? I can offer a drinknon the house. My response was yeah ok, waited then left, as we were leaving they looked at me and quickly turnt away to avoid eye contact gum and cheek inflamed.
Food is just acceptable, quality, wise, prices however, are not.prices exorbitant for a lunch menu. The dinner prices extreme over priced. Certainly the sunsets are worth it, but you’re paying for the view not the food.
Great location with great views of the west coast sky for sunset. Has the potential to be a great pub but our visit was a bit disappointing.
The staff weren't very friendly or welcoming on the night we went unfortunately. One of the dishes ordered was not as described on the menu. We also only initially were given 2 of the 3 meals ordered as there was confusion over what was ordered due to the way the menu is set up - and were told this isn't the first time it's happened. They enjoyed the meals once fixed.
Fly screens would be nice on at least one window and cleaners should look up in bathroom because cobwebs with bugs in them
It was our Second visit here.
View is amazing looking out to the beach ️
Bar tender we meet yesterday was very informative with the specials available
Tried Iron Jack beer which I quite enjoyed trying it for the first time.
Staff were friendly and very hard workers.
Okay so the eggs don't look perfect but the rest on my plate was fine.
Fish and Chips was quite average.
Overall our little stop there for dinner turned out great.
Enjoy peeps should you stop there and dine, with a few beers
Pre ordered to save the wait time and continue on the long drive north. Ordered emperor expecting it to be nice n fresh. Not so fresh n tasty.
Pre ordered $43 t-bone steak to be well done with 25 mins notice. Steak came out medium. 1st n last time for us l think I'll stick to road house food from now on. Cheaper and same qaulity
Good dinner at the pub tonight. The fish stew and the fish and chips were tasty and big serves. Great outlook over the water.
Nice food and location.
Stopped in for lunch, sat in the beer garden and it was good.
Plenty off street parking available
Can recommend
Accommodation i cant answer food was good and a quiet relaxing place to spend the afternoon with beachfront views enjoying a few coldies and company of a few friends
Great hotel, excellent view, yummy meals, friendly staff, reasonably priced beer. Love it, my favourite place in Carnarvon
Meals were just ok. Coffee was worse than terrible and was so hot burnt. Sweet options were ok. Good for a drink and sport on tv but set your expectations to low on meals and you won't be disappointed.
Good food, super quick service and friendly locals! What to want more? Definitely go for the special of the day! We will back!
Went with friends for evening meal and drinks, service and staff were friendly and good, meals were very poor, wife ordered garlic prawns as main, very small portion, friend order grilled fish came half grilled another piece fried, two scallopini veal bmeals just about edible, very disappointed
Had several good meals here while in Carnarvon would definitely visit again. Inside a little noisy so if an issue try getting a table outside.
