Captain Cook Cruises - Perth

We live in Perth but haven't been on a river cruise for years. This was a great way to see Perth and Fremantle and find lots of little spots to explore in the future. Would recommend to all our friends.

The cruise & staff was very good, the Lancaster winery was very disappointing. We had visitors from Spain, Germany and Denmark the wines did not reflect the Swan Valley as they were both very expensive and certainly not the quality that you can find in the valley. To top off the real poor tasting the staff left the driver to look after us so there was no one to talk about the wines to the group all in all a very disappointing experience and represented very poor value for money

The cruise was excellent. However, the booking process is very vague about the itinerary. I could have assumed a lot of things, but we all know what happens when one assumes.
I booked a round trip from Perth to Fremantle, but there was no mention of it stopping in Freo. Had I known I would have got off & caught a later return boat to Perth.
But as I said the actual cruise was terrific

We experienced a wonderful adventure on Captain Cook Wine Cruise up the Swan River in Perth to the Swan Valley. The service was amazing, the visit to Sandalwood winery was amazing with wonderful food and wine. I would definitely recommend this full day cruise.

Lovely cruise to Fremantle and return. Luncheon supplied. Good variety of foods and plenty for seconds if wanted.

Excellent all round. Departed on time from Fremantle to Perth. Friendly helpful crew. V clean interior with large veiwing windows. Captains commentary was informative and easy to listen to.

We enjoyed a fantastic river cruise. The Year 10 students loved the whole thing; the sights, the pizza, the dancefloor and the photo booth! Thank you, Alana, for helping us to organise a successful school event.

Wow - fantastic day and value. So relaxing - great wines.and food (we obviously did the day vineyard tour with lunch). Heaps to drink and eat and sing songs on the way back too. Crew really looked after us. Totally recommended.

Great night, excellent service and live music, very pretty way to see the Swan river.

Loved our cruise to Freemont especially seeing Perth and all the beautiful homes from the water! Smooth and relaxing. Clean and nice service.

Very disappointing today with the counter or cashier she was being very rude and laughing at us because I was asking for information.

Booked a private river cruise, cocktail function package, for my birthday. From organising and booking with Alana, to the actual night everything was so easy! We had a great time with the friendly crew, DJ Al, and the photo booth. The cruise down the river, past the stadium and back to Perth was ideal. Would highly recommend if you want something special for your next function.

Amir was the best cruise host, if you get a chance have a chat to him, he has a wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humour.

Totally enjoyed the cruise to Fremantle and back. Nice scenery along the river. Really relaxing. Highly recommended to everyone

We got the Freemantle to Perth one way service that departed on time from the B Sheds in Freemantle. The actual 1 hour cruise back to Perth was OK. Not a lot of commentary on the surrounding area, however still a pleasant way to travel back to Perth. We got the train from Perth to Freemantle in the morning. The boat itself was comfortable with a couple of bars for light refreshments. The staff or crew all were friendly and courteous.

The cruise is worth the trip and I would recommend.

Booked the Perth-Fremantle lunch cruise which we did today. As some others have mentioned, we were disappointed with the "quality" of the commentary as it was hard to hear much of it. The problem is that it is too bassy, which conversations nearby drown out. I feel more treble would help it being heard. Apart from that, we really enjoyed ourselves. The commentary, what we heard, was informative and interesting. The staff were lovely. The food was on par with what we expected. This is not al la carte dining and we didn't pay for that, though I agree the gnocchi was a bit blerk. The curry and jasmine rice was nice. Lunches on cruises like this should be considered a filler, not the highlight. Fix the bass, guys, and you'll have happier clients.

I’ve been on the Captain Cook cruise twice and loved it both times. The first time I went on from Perth- Fremantle return with lunch and the other day we just took the cruise from Fremantle to Perth and had lunch on there. The food was lovely- a buffet lunch with dessert. It was nice to go outside onto the bow to capture the views. We saw hundreds of jelly fish. I found it so interesting when the captain informed us of the house that is worth 57 million & it doesn’t seem like anyone even lives there! My favourite part was coming into Perth city.

Went on the perth river cruise tonight. Was an excellent night with great music, staff and food. Weldone

Great day out in Swan Valley topped off with a leisurely cruise back down to Perth serenaded by the talented crew of Lauren and Olivia.
