Canning Vale Markets reviews
55 Canning Vale markets on a Saturday provides you with meat and fish. Sunday is vegetable and stall owners day. If you go late, you will always get a deal. You need to look for bargains. The cross section of immigrant diaspora will be present.
It’s a melee of people milling around boxes of vegetables scattered around the floor carefully navigating through the countless "buttucks" of men and women who is rummaging through the boxes for the best shaped vegetable.
You will hardly see a handful of “white” people. Indians, Taiwanese, Chinese, SriLanka, Bhutanese, Nepalese, Africans …you name it. Every part of the world in represented in the markets.
My first visit was marked by a culture shock. I bumped in to every other immigrant who has moved to Perth. They offered their own tips on how to deal with the sellers!
The prices will show a marked decline as the market progresses. I notice Saturday vegetable market sells ’seconds’ vegetables from the big vegetable retailers along with seasonal produce.
The fish also cost less towards the end of the market closure.
Heaps of parking.
Run down, waste of time and space. I wouldn't recommend coming here. It has really go down hill over the last 5 - 10 years.
The market is not that great and not cheap good’s either as they promote and on top of that they charge you $4 for entry
Great markets, good way to spend a Sunday morning, went there today to buy some more of the great Sri Siam Bakery products, the 2 Thai sisters are a great friendly team and so talented
It's fantastic it has everything and more you'll ever want. Be prepared to be taking home more then you you went there for.
$2entry fee. Plenty of Parkings. Good place to buy cheap plants. Fresh produce is also cheap. But you have to find good quality. Bring cash. Most of the seller are cash only. 3/4 food trucks was available.
The market used to be amazing experience but I heard from sellers who had there stall that due to the new manager … lots of seller have left …Now there is only few seller.and not that lively like it used to be few years back
Went to canning vale markets today met a lovely lady at Dooley's treats great selection and variety if she doesn't have what your looking for she will make it for you. Bought alot of stuff for my dog highly recommend.
Any market which charges entry to purchase produce just doesn’t make sense to me… in addition the market is below par, has potential however doesn’t deliver, I think there is other places in the area which suffice.
Great fresh produce and food at cheap prices! Absolutely no second hand goods though! Lots of cheap imported plastic novelty items. The world doesn't need more plastic!
Nice way to spend a Sunday morning.
Good food stalls. I like the variety of fruit and vegetables that are available.
Lots of different cuisine not a lot of second hand things mostly food if u r looking for second hand things I would recommend Belmont or maddington Sunday markets
At the gate entry next to pho-ever, I asked the lady working there what time these specific gates shut because this is where my car is. She said 2: 00pm. I came back at 1: 45pm and it was all locked up and everyone was gone, so had to walk around 1km carrying bags of fresh fruit and vegetables. I don't understand why they would just lie to you, huge dog act.
Great deals. Meat/seafood cheaper than at the supermarket.
The stir fry beef was not from the best cut of meat however. Still, the meal I made from it was good.
Vegetables are fresh and cheap.
We get a lot of plants
Mobile covers, cheap umbrella, cheap rugs.
Nice place.
Entry is $2
Great place to find pop culture toys and collectibles.
Lots of stalls with unique handmade and custom arts and crafts.
This place was a bustling market full with many stalls and many small vegetable and plant growers. But since the change yo a new managrment. Only half -full now. The food stalls are better but only a few prkducers. I sude to go 2 a month. I go anout incrin 4 months now. My friends don't go anymore so disappointed
Had a nice asian style lunch in the eatery area. Handy to some asian food suppliers too. Always interesting when the markets are on.
A good spot to shop. Good prices and good variety with good quality. Fish market, fruit and vegies market and meat market are all next to each others.
A place not to be visited very often if you are shopping for your household supplies, hyped as cheap, but found almost same price as stores, above all you have to pay $2 as entry fees•
