Canning Medical Centre reviews
19 Was issued with a paper script which I hadn't filled and misplaced. Called the clinic requesting it to be emailed or sent as an e-script, reception advised me that the prescribing Dr was not in and a different Dr would have to re-issue the script. As I did not need a consult this was fine however I received a phone call from the Dr (I did not ask for this!), I advised him I just needed the script to be resent. I had 2 missed calls from reception when I called back they informed me it was to make payment for the consult!
Both the Dr and reception failed to inform me that there would be a consult fee for literally 60 seconds of a Dr's time to re-send a script I already had. They should be aware that whilst this may be their policy, I was not informed of it before accepting the call from the Dr. If they had informed me I would not have gone through this clinic. The fact they had to call me to take payment and did not do so prior or at the time of the call with the Dr would indicate they made a mistake.
Lack of communication and customer service as well as charging for re-issue of a script. Very disappointing, will not be returning.
Ben Buxton is an inexperienced doctor, who needs more experience under his belt. But it's the Corporations who run the medical practices;have a clearly bums on seats policy. They need junior doctors, who aren't yet registered as GP's to bring home the bacon.
Untrustworthy they assume instead of diagnose they are only interested in payments people health and wellbeing is. Not regarded as their highest priority I had a car accident I was injured but because canning medical centre sent a letter to my insurance company saying I didn't deserve anything and was left with my injuries untreated shunned Infront of other clients and on top of that I am on unemployment injured no medical certificate was ridiculed by Dr William sands when I asked for a certificate he is saying a torn acl is not serious and I can still work
Reception service is extremely rude. I called to book travel vaccination, booked for my whole family, drove half an hour only to be told that because I arrived for my double appointment for 1: 15 at 1: 10, although I did fill in the forms online, we can't see nurse because we are late. So we need tosee them again. No admittance of receptionist making mistake. Fell absolutely scammed for money and because we are forced to go see doctors for travel only at their clinic being the closest. Reception woman on phone was extremely rude and receptionist in person was rude as well. No apology, nothing! Perhaps racist too as the receptionist asked me after knowing my non aussie name if I had Medicare but did not want the Medicare number, was just checking. If someone won't have Medicare, they will pay fee what's your problem.
Thank you to the warm, friendly reception staff and Dr John Varona who took the time to explain things, upfront about being a non-bulk bill clinic, and made me feel welcome when needing a doctor quickly when on my travels and from out of town.
I didn't got the help I was searching for. The reception got really unfriendly on the phone and couldn't solve my concern nicely. After all I felt pushed away.
I felt it's more about the money then my actual health.
I have had no issues with this clinic as of yet. I was recommend to see Dr. Atoosha by a friend, and I am really satisfied with her service!
Refused to give out information in relation to covid testing and all around bad experience over numerous visits.
Professional competent friendly business like reception and compassionate doctors in a great location for pubic transport with free parking in Fremantle. My wife and can thoroughly recommend and cant speak highly enough of all the people at CMC, over the last 4 years of experience and contact.
I've been going to a different Medical Centre other than the Canning Medical Centre and I'm so impressed with the friendly service from reception and prompt attention they give your call/ needs that i will no longer be attending my previous Medical Centre that I've been going to in over 15 years.
Thank you for displaying the kind of service a Medical Centre should be operated
Can’t speak highly enough about Canning Medical Group. I had my second AZ vaccination there recently because I didn’t want to go all the way to The hub at Claremont. The staff are friendly, extremely helpful and quick so you’ll save heaps of time too if you’re a Fremantle local.
Tried to book the second astra zenica shot but they do not have any
that is a very bad fail Its been two years and they are still not ready
They replied to this post saying they have plenty. If you go to their site it still says they have no second shot.so still a fail.after all this time
Requested to see a doctor and got told they don’t bulk bill through Medicare which is fine as each practice is individual to there own standards however when I had mentioned that other practices don’t charge me for consultations and that it is taken care of by Medicare the receptionist laughed. I can’t even begin to explain how unprofessional her attitude and demeanour was.
When asking to book in for an appointment she also asked me what I was coming in for. Due to the privacy act it is within our rights to not disclose medical information. I had expressed that I don’t feel comfortable disclosing my reasons for seeing a doctor. She is only a medical receptionist. By law you don’t need to disclose your medical information to anyone other than a registered GP
Anyone else needs to request a court order and stand before a judge before requiring your medical information/medical reasoning. I don’t appreciate being treated this way
They only cover health care cards and concession the rest of your consults have to be paid for out of pocket.
I went there for the first time to have my Covid-19 vaccine and I was very impressed. From the receptionists, to the doctor, to Leslie the nurse, it was smooth sailing all the way!
The lady who answered the phone to book my appointment felt rude and condescending but Toni at reception and Dr. Varona were great.
Dr Varona is outstanding! Very thorough, friendly and non-judgmental. It was my first visit and will 100% be going back to Canning Medical Centre!
Despite a glitch in the online booking glitch booking my daughter in for the wrong date, having us turn up to find this out, staff were extremely accommodating and fit us in regardless. Prompt, polite and very helpful. Will recommend.
Though we live in Booragoon, we still come to this centre. New device, new building, helpful and friendly staff. Five star service.
Best GP I have ever been to! Dr Jenny Donnelly is fantastic, she explains everything really well and takes the time to talk things through with you.
