Literally one of the best places to do foundational studies!

Did Yr11 and currently doing Yr12 here and all that I can say is that its FANTASTIC.

The staff are just amazing and always prove to be helpful. You can always ask for help no matter how big or small the problem is. The facilities are also accessible and really convenient. They have music rooms, a recreational centre and also a gym. There's a Cafeteria too and it has tons of microwave and two fridges that you can put ur lunch in, so you dont have to buy food from outside (Always found it handy to buy a large tub of ice cream, place it in the freezer then eat it whenever schoolwork gets the best of me).

I also love how it's an open campus and you can walk around during your free time. The campus is surrounded by nature and it's just magnificent. During Spring, Entry B would be blooming with vibrant roses and you could hear so many birds just singing to welcome you in the morning. Theres a lot of benches and tables outside which is highly utilised by students during warmer seasons and they are quite grounding and relaxing especially after a hard lesson.

Education-wise, its a good institution to grow in. It provides a fun and healthy environment for you to be comfortable to ask questions and ask for help or advice even outside classes.
It just is wonderful because it made learning fun for me and I actually enjoyed going to school for once and believe it or not, it made me look forward to Mondays.

Staff members and teachers 10/10
School psychologist, THE BEST. I have never seen a school psychologist that is as wonderful, caring and understanding as her. Slayyyyyy. Definitely deserves an award. For real.

Why study at Canning college?
You'll be showered with love and support from all staff members that truly cares for you and will go out of their ways just to help you.
If they need to climb a mountain just to help you, they would. Jk. But you get what I mean.

100% guarantee yall that all staff members is trying their best to help even behind closed doors.

Mental health?
Without disappointment and failures there will never be success. Patience is a virtue.

Bored during breaks?
Walk around the school and chat with friendly and entertaining staff members.
If your lucky, you would be able to meet Jonathan. The man behind the camera / marketing guy / idk he has too many talents or work that its hard to keep track of what he does as he tends to appear out of nowhere HAHAHA

Conclusion: Canning College is an excellent and perfect school for you:)

Great teachers. But if you’re under 18 I urge you not to attend this school, as you’ll have to be put in a host family house and if the family are not welcoming or abusive to you, you’re on your own. The principal Lisa will not help you at all. Having troubles with mental health and difficulties studying? Guess what? The “school psychologist” is as useless as Lisa.
2 stars only because of the teachers

Studied here in 2017/2018. Carolyn who use to work at this place was amazing with helping me out with my maths and Sheryl Butcher was an inspiration for creative english these guys helped me in so many ways and made a few friends too. Was sadden to hear that our local government decided to make this an international school only as i wanted to learn chemistry here, because i work close by to canning college is its more convenient studying and working closely together. Its sad that domestic and international students cant study together and become an equal society here in WA.

You can get personal with the teacher here. You can get more out of a lecture and tutorial than a typical huge university room. No more bad guys around the corner ever since they lock the entrance after the college close.

Had a STAT test in the cafeteria. The staff were pleasant especially the guy greeting us as he had a calming demeanour. The only negative experience was the level of lighting seemed inadequate for a test environment as I struggled to read some of the information especially on the front page when we were required to shade in squares

Ample parking available. Internal Roads from Entrance A and B connected are connected behind. ATAR Language exams were held here in 2017.

Not accepting EFTPOS at your food facilities for clear tax evasion and to then charge your students a fee to use the nearby ATM. I mean really?

Canning College is a great educational centre if you want finish off Year 11 and 12, do a flying start course or some of the Curtin Enabling units there. Staff are really good (Peter Samuels is my favourite teacher), and the ammenities are good given that there are constraints with the internet, the downside is that the buildings are outdated to a regular eye (not me, I’m not fussed) and there needs to be places that students can sleep in privacy instead of sleeping in the student lounge

Parking is ample and free as well!

What a rude service and phone management skills. How can you go to a college that cant even be polite and well mannered.
