Can’t praise these guys enough! The work car had a Friday afternoon meltdown - clutch was slipping. Called Daniel and he said bring it straight down. As the hubby is a subcontractor time off the road means no income and Daniel and his team got the clutch sorted and took the opportunity to do an overdue service and a couple of other items that had just been put off.

Had to take my wife’s car back to replace poor quality brake pads noisy and powdering up even though assured when quoted they only use reliable parts and don’t have a problem! Regrettably only GP pads were fitted instead of heavy duty for the RAV4. Despite their oversight and our inconvenience my wife had to pay an additional $218 for the two new pads! I’d prefer to add to the rave reviews which attracted me to Canning Automotive In the first place, but people reading this want an honest opinion. I found the staff there somewhat arrogant and preoccupied, not really customer focussed unless you’re a regular it would appear. One things for sure our old mechanic recently shut up shop and retired would have never have charged for parts and labor twice, disappointing the ‘don’t work for nothing’ attitude of some mechanical workshops these days, you would imagine they have a law or specialist medicine degree, honestly!

Daniel and his team are helpfull and professional. John did a neat and tidy job sorting out our cars solar and second battery set up including bcdc charger and trailer breaks. And adding charging points to our landcruiser. Very happy with the quality of the install.

Was driving a prado that had just had new rotors and brake pads put on and the brakes were very squeaky. Pulled up at traffic lights next to Daniel from Canning Automotive and he told me to put my window down. He asked me if I had just had my brakes done and told me it sounded like the backing plate was touching the rotor. I told him I was from the country and my Dad was coming to Perth to take the vehicle back home to be fixed by the mechanic who installed the rotors. He told me he owned Canning Automotive and to swing by whenever and he would fix it free of charge. I went the next day and it was done within 10 minutes. Daniel refused to let me pay. I don’t think there are many mechanics out there who would go so far out of their way to help someone they don’t even know. It goes to show the type of business Canning Automotive is, they aren’t one to stick you up and overcharge or just do things for the money, they genuinely care about cars and their customers. It was also very impressive that he could diagnose the problem just as I was driving past. It was an easy fix but they have made a life long customer.

These guys did an excellent job, friendly staff and the owner is hands-on. Had an emergency to get back to Bunbury, and they helped me right away. Thanks Daniel and team

Was recommended to use Daniel to have a look at Toyota Prado I was thinking of purchasing, after Daniel had looked at it, purchased vehicle the next day, and have and will be using there services from now on, good advice great service friendly and I actually enjoy using his Landcruiser whilst they work on mine

Nice to find a mechanic that actually gives you advice and helps you through a plan to improve your 4wd that does not break the bank.

Cannot recommend Daniel and his fantastic team enough! Daniel is so straightforward tells you how it is, which is fantastic! I've even leant a thing or two from him about what is actually under the hood.
Not only that, the team at Canning Automotive have gone about and beyond the call of duty to help us out with my leaky Commodore. From Nick going above and beyond to helping me get there car dropped off and picked up, not to mention spending long then expected to bang, twist and modify the new radiator to fit and managing to squeeze it into their packed schedule to get it looked at and sorted. Nothing short of amazing! Will not trust another mechanic with my car.
