Candlewood IGA

My local, normally does the trick if I've forgotten to buy anything and it's too late to go back to the shops. Bought a pack of ham maybe only 2 days ago and turns out it's expired (use by 22nd, today being the 24th), wasn't discounted or anything. Didn't even grab a receipt or have to time to go get a refund. Just disappointed.

Ok for basics. Bit expensive like any IGA, check dates on fresh produce is always a good idea.

Recently improved layout and staffing numbers seemed to have increased.

Some items that you don't get at other supermarkets, expensive and particularly lacking in the fresh meat department

Bad customer service almost every time no hello or morning or thank you or even no good bye

the last 5 times i’ve gone to Iga candlewood the female older staff are very rude again this morning politely said after the cashier said $11 you should not be working in customer service your so rude no acknowledgement, continue chatting with another worker the who time i was being served until when i gave the cashier my money and had to politely educate and remind you in customer service u should not being getting treated this rudely it’s unprofessional

staff need training on customer service
they clearly need to be retrained on the basics! How to great a customer waiting to be served or at least acknowledge or use manners

I would put 0 stars but won’t let me! So $24 for a rotten salad and fruit salad that I just received on Uber eats! Absolutely a joke! No stars for Uber or iga!

Check dates on all perishable items!

Staff are usually polite and courteous. The Store is strangely hidden in the corner. High ceilings yet still somewhat dingy.

If you're going to charge premium prices.at least have your stock in date, this is a repeating issue, read through other reviews.

Good Deli gone bad!

Previously used the Deli frequently before they made it self serve. Now I go else where, as you can’t tell how long the stuff has been sitting there in the bags. Had a few soggy old pies and gave up.

Keep a close eye on the expiration dates on everything in store, it's becoming a regular issue.

Candlewood is getting old and tired, it was a niche little shop back in the day, but I guess all good things get tired. The staff don't seem to either know or care what to do about it! They seem to blame the customers, they must be bored, no thank you what so ever, no matter how long you've been going there or who you are, they're just not interested.

Love this IGA great fruit and produce section. It has a self serve hot food and excellent salad bar. Lots of premade tasty meals. Good vegan range could do with more. Great keto selection. Lovely staff always very helpful. Theyre similar to Framer Jack's but ALOT cheaper. Excellent trading hours and are open early on Sunday unlike most places that are caught up in WA's 11am opening time (absolutely ridiculous). Great IGA

Specials are rarely specials, will scan through as full price, and no one notice when buying other items, when questioned they never responded, Kinross iga is just up the road and 10x better in regards to pricing and quality. Can't believe they had a petition to stop a bigger chain nearby and stay local when they rip locals off day in day out.

Checkout staff is terrible, there’s no customer service training in this place. Threw our items around at checkout and spoke with attitude

Convenient location, open long hours, a favourite go-to spot of mine for quick shops. Only a small store that can feel a little cramped, but it's packed full. They have a great deli and a warm bain-marie with a selection of home-made food ready to go. There's also numerous open display fridges with sandwiches/rolls, sushi, cakes, drinks, meals (inc. 'youfoodz' etc plus a huge range made in-store), salads, pizzas, desserts etc. They recently replaced all of their old big trolleys with brand new smaller trolleys which make much more sense & are super handy. Staff are always friendly too!

Staff member Brian was extra helpful in helping me locate the Milk and Dairy Isle, and didn't even notice when I left without paying! Great experience, and the milk wasn't half bad either.

Excellent little IGA - 4 and half stars- small size is the only reason for it not getting 5 stars. It has just about everything and then some. At the moment it is better stocked than some large stores.

An excellent store, well layed out and awesome young staff who were friendly and helpful. We got what we went for and would definitely recommend this store to everyone.

This is my local IGA but overall it's a pretty average one. The staff are friendly and the store has most of what you need but it is quite small and the fruit and veg is not great. I always find their fresh produce below average which is disappointing as most other IGA's fresh produce is spectacular. The deli closes earlier than the store as well - it would be better to open in line with the store hours.

They've upgraded their meat fridges so the variety and quantity is a lot better than it used to be. They also have hot meals in a Bain-marie and pre-made portions in the fridges. Cottage pie and Mild Chicken and potato curry are both delicious.
Would rate higher if they sorted out their fresh section and could use a bit of a spruce up. Staff are very friendly though:)

The local shop for my area, see the local wild life ever time I go there.

Unfortunately now and then you can get people drunk, begging for money or on something. Now I have to look elsewhere.

IGA Candlewood did our Christmas function catering and it was AMAZING! Thank you Leah and the team for the wonderful platters - everyone loved them. Great team, great job, thank you so much.

This shop is always open early Sunday when others are shut. Now has take away meals. Friendly staff and always willing to help
