Calamity's Rod Fremantle reviews
12Carson was such an incredible help. There were so many people in the venue he made you feel welcome as if the venue was your own. Great atmosphere to spend with friends.
Came here for a quick wine, lovely staff, beautiful spot. Great ambience and sweet jazzy tunes, give it a try!
Shoutout to Amber for handling a couple of wine connoisseurs.
Great little brewery and bar just a short stroll from the hustle and bustle of the Freo strip! The beers are fantastic and the music as eclectic as the patrons, we will be back for sure!
Chill bar located just beside Hougoumont Hotel. Complementary cheese, snacks and wine for hotel guests from 5 to 6pm. Not too crowded on a Friday evening. But the smoke from the fireplace does inevitably send some ashes settling onto your food and drinks.
Located next to Hougoumont Hotel, happy hour is 5-6pm. Has a firepit and a decent variety of drafts, ciders, and wine. Not too crowded on a Monday evening, which is nice because guests can hear each other talk.
Love this little place! But arrived tonight, a freezing cold night looking forward to their fire pit but it was not going. Cried into my wine glass!
Went on a wine tour and decided to get some food here. Ordered several different items for the table.
Had to ask where the food was as people who had come in after us were served first. One of the dishes never arrived at all.
For such a small venue and only six items in the menu, this is poor service and inexcusable.
Won’t be going back.
Nice place, shame the beers had such high alcohol, there was a mid strength pale Ale, but was too floral in taste, good spot though
An accidental find on our return from beach to our hotel. We stumbled upon happy hour which was great value at $8 a pint! Really lovely staff and great beer we were well pleased with ourselves. Also the John Boyle O'Reilly poem and mural was the icing on the cake.
This place was great value and the music was unreal. Bartender was no nonsense and chill. Very litty.
Yummy but happy hour was advertised as a $10 pizza but was only 2 slices. Bit of a stitch up!
This was such an excellent surprise! The place was hip yet cozy. The staff were friendly yet cool. And the beer was excellent! Happy hour was excellent value, and the vibe was buzzing. Blown away by the standard of brews, especially considering the age of brewery. We had the IPA and Hazy, and would be hard pressed to call a favourite. Hats off to calamity rod! A stop not to be missed! (Pizza was pretty good too!)
