Cable Beach General Store & Cafe reviews
54That would have to be the most dismal salad roll I think I’ve ever had. No onion? Carrot? Beetroot? Cheese? Anything? Just tomato, lettuce and cucumber.
A really convenient place to buy the odd grocery necessities without having to go into town. A good selection off everyday items were available. They also serve good snack foods and precooked meals (pasta etc) packed for takeaway. I had a pie and chips. The pie was not as warm as I'd like but the chips were great. Pricing was good as was the friendly service. Seating is available inside or out under a pergola. Very handy to where we were staying, (Bali Hai hotel) and worth a visit if you need a snack or some groceries.
Good food. Hasn't changed much in 2 years. Great for fish and chips to take over to the beach and watch the sun setting.
Typically Australian outback roadhouse but virtually on Cable Beach, would you believe it? Food was great, we couldn't resist the Irresistible burger. A smile and a welcome with the order taking would have been nice.
A place to get everything you need to get you by when staying in Broome! We found the General Store and its staff to be fantastic! Whether it’s brekky, lunch or dinner, there is a kitchen on-site, with lots of options. We had the beer battered fish and chips, and a beef burger, both of which were awesome. There is ice cream, biscuits, chips, bread, milk, cold drinks and a range of tourist keep sakes as well.
Peter, you run a very well thought out store, kudos to you and all the very best!
Nice corner store.
Nothing fancy but clean and close to Cable Beach.
Kitchen wasn't working so no bacon and eggs for me. But they could do toast and coffee was OK.
Breakfast and coffee was good. Great variety of good. Staff are a bit stiff, "not very friendly, just there to do business" especially the man at the till. Nevertheless worth a pop in.
Lovely little cafe and deli in one. I wanted fish and chips near Cable Beach, and this is the place to go! Good prices and actually good food.
Great for one off items just don't treat it like a supermarket or you'll pay through the nose.
Good assortment of food and drinks. And good for picking up the necessities
Great location and variety of produce, reasonably priced.
Friendly staff.
Easy to recommend you visit this store
The steak burger was okay, I found the steak a little bland. I probably wouldn't order that meal again but I would go back to try something else
Not a fan, maybe it might be okay when they are not too busy but we had the worst takeaway we’ve had in years. Steak sandwich was horrible, stale bread (possibly microwaved poorly and toasted). Requested salad was non existent and sandwich steak beaten to death sold as scotch fillet.
I understand they are busy, but that is no excuse. Maybe it’s just junior staff that shouldn’t be cooking for the public and staff are hard to come by due to covid.
Anyhow give it a go if you’re game, support local and all that but don’t expect too much.
Excellent service and amazing coffee! Also pet friendly! The general store items are a bit expensive but otherwise a great little cafe!
Service was good. Ordered 2 hamburgers which where good, but my chips where supposed to be large looked like a small bag paid $37.50
