Byford Village Practice

I have been a patient for years - since the practice opened, and they will not let me make another appointment. The only explanation they can provide is "you haven't been in for a while, we closed your account. "

I was in 6 months ago for a check up.

They did mention that I visited another doctor (a skin cancer clinic organised by my employer) and beat around the bush when asked for an explanation as to why my account was closed.

It is a dummy spit by the manager and the doctor for the skin cancer removal.

Very unprofessional.

Byford Villiage Practice is the most fabulous drs surgery with caring staff, management, and Dr Prasad is a brilliant Gp. Won't go anywhere else.

Been going to this practice pretty much since it opened and never had a problem with Dr Ord or Dr Thompson. Have had a few issues with admin but nothing major. I havent had to go since Dr Thompson and Dr Ord left but have had issues since having Covid so figured its about time to go to the Dr. The practice managers attitude is disgusting! Apparently I am not a patient of the remaining doctor even though I have seen him before and have attended this practice for appointments, tests and immunisations. Apparently he would read through my medical records before deciding if he would take me on as a new patient - after going there since it opened? ! Why is this even a question? Then on top of all of this if I go someone else and want my records transferred, they are going to charge me for the pleasure. Dont even bother with this place - no wonder the other doctors left!

I'm a regular patient there I have been since it opened a few years ago. Dr. Bunty Prasad isa wonderful Doctor & on many occasions gone above and beyond the call of duty to help me. The staff are polite and respectful as are the Nurses. Tracy 1 of the receptionists has been there a long time & is a very caring person as is Bunty. They both shaved their heads for Cancer Research it really is a caring Family Practice. I'm grateful to them for always thinking of the patients needs first. Thank You everyone including Amanda Practice Manager & Dr Prasad's wife.

Dr Thompson was absolutely amazing! I’m so sad to hear he isn’t practicing here anymore, I’ve always struggled to find doctors who take the time to listen and discuss the issue with me, his service is unparalleled. Never had a bad experience here!

I've been seeing Dr. Anna Ord for a few years now and she is phenomenal. She has supported me through 2 challenging pregnancies. I always feel heard and respected. Dr. Ord is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. She has been flexible with me in regards to phone/in-person appointments. My husband and children also attend the practice and have been seen by a couple of different drs. At the practice. Every time has been a positive experience.

The nursing staff are also wonderful, they have good bedside manner and are great with kids (especially for vaccinations).

The only improvement I would suggest is to make booking an appointment easier. Online booking would be greatly appreciated.

The doctors here are great, unfortunately the lack of online bookings together with the service and reception staff/management really let the practice down.

My whole family were patients of Dr Prasad when he was at another practice. Once he opened his own practice we moved over straight away.

We have always received the highest quality of care. Everyone is so professional with a truly caring, old fashioned warmth that is lacking in other practices.

I can not recommend them highly enough. We travel 30 minutes to visit the practice, and my whole family truly appreciate everything they do.

Amazing team there. Never had any problems getting appointments for my kids. Always accommodating even when they were fully booked.

Absolutely disgusting. Two years before I had a minor surgery at this clinic by Dr. Prasad. After two years I don’t have any issue with this. So I didn’t make any appointment with this clinic. Now that I have an issue with the same spot with same issue and with more pain, I tried to make an appointment but they said your account has been closed. Again I went to clinic and talked to practice manager she won’t listen what I’m saying. She told me to go other GP.
I suggest please don’t continue with this clinic Because in the long run you will be in trouble.

I waited over a week for results and when I chased them up for the second time, I was told they had them all along. Then I asked why I wasn’t phoned for another appointment and they said if it comes back ok I won’t hear anything. I told the doctor I needed help with certain ailments hence the tests being done so if they came back clear we were to try avenues things etc. The initial consultation was 10mins which I was rushed through and made me feel uncomfortable.
Really disappointed! I was looking forward to having a good female doctor in my local area but my search continues.

Doctors are great, but getting an appointment is impossible. You get put on some sort of blocked list if you don't go there often enough - money isn't made from patients that don't come too often I'm guessing? Have called numerous times for myself, husband and daughter (all of us have attended in the past, not new patients). You get told appointment is available until you provide your details and then suddenly there are no appointments. Practice manager even once recommended other doctors in the area to me instead of coming here. This isnt a medical care clinic, this is a profit focused business. We will be avoiding in future, but will also be looking to escalate my complaint to the health & disability services complaints office as surely this is not fair medical practice?

Absolutely disgusting. I missed a personal appointment months ago. So still below average humanity I cant get an appointment. But to refuse my 14 week old son medical attention is so beyond foul even calling and cancelling my sons appointment my mother made to take him being told to take him elsewhere, purely because hes MY son. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from 'a family orientated' clinic. Will be taking this futher to the appropriate government departments.

Dr Ord is great here. BUT if you want to be able to get an appointment then go somewhere else. I’ve tried 3 days to call and book an appointment, to be told they’re all locked and have to call on the day for ones they keep aside, I then call up on the day (first to call as they are still logging in) and lone behold all of the appointments are gone! What a joke! IF you are lucky enough to get an appointment, you will be waiting at least an hour to be seen. So do yourself a favour and just go somewhere else. After today, I know I won’t be back here!

Absolutely appalling customer service. We heard from many people to visit this Practice because of one very good doctor, we made the appointment only to arrive and be told our appointment wasn’t booked in. We had stressed that this was important and needed to see our 16 week old baby. Not only did they make us feel unwelcome with their rude demeanour but when we tried to escalate to management they told us simply to see another practice if unhappy with this. I would not recommend to anyone who is a concerned parent and needs a reliable practice! This encounter left us feeling as though they have no regard for their patients or willing to offer solutions.

Excellent service from friendly staff great communication from nurses and Dr Prasad makes you feel very comfortable.

Dr Prasad has been a welcome addition to the Byford suburb. He is always cheerful, very genial and affable, and genuinely cares for his patients. And this may come across as a backhanded compliment, but the sometimes long wait at his practice is a testament to how much the community believes in him. First rate everything!
